In November 2024 I had just left to go to my winter home in Palm Desert when I received a call my friend who was watching my home. It was a Sunday to let me know about the broken pipe and the damage. I called several repair companies and left messages but when I called New Life Service they answered my call and were able to get a team out that evening. After drying the unit out they gave me contract to do the actual repair. Their contract was detailed enough that American Modern my insurance company approved the work and paid the claim within a few days. Since the leak destroyed my bathroom the room needed a complete redesign and New LIfe has very helpful design team The work was done on time and on budget. I hope you never have a broken pipe that causes significant damage like I had but if you do I highly recommend New Life Service company.

They were friendly, did top notch work and their fees were reasonable. I will always call them first in an emergency repair situation.

While the issue, thankfully, was not as serious as I had thought and feared, Carl was thorough, thoughtful and respectful. Being an older single woman seems to present some people, especially "servicemen", with the opportunity to speak to me and treat me as if I am an idiot and assume they can take advantage. This was certainly not the case with Carl. He made helpful suggestions for how I could follow-up with a different type of service and left me with useful information. While my issue did not require the scope of work done by Chronic, I would definitely reach out to them in the future if I ever did need their services.

Their work is meticulous and their communication, which includes promptness and follow-up, is superior. They were a pleasure to work with. We HIGHLY recommend the CDRC team and will use them again at any opportunity. Thank you to Frank, Kala, and everyone. Job well done!!

Several weeks of plumbers…read moreunable to find the source of a water leak in the walls of my guest bath finally led to their discovery of mold inside one of the walls. That's one of the last things any homeowner wants to deal with. Because I've had experience in construction, I began my search for mold remediation services that did not include restoration. And that's were Daniel, owner of Redding's Rush Relief Restoration Services, came in. Daniel came over within a couple hours of my initial call to make an initial assessment and offer his bid, which I thought was quite reasonable. The morning after accepting his bid, he arrived with two of his sons to start the demolition work. Turns out, this is very much of a family-owned and operated business. Daniel's wife is the office manager. Daniel provided a most thorough removal of all traces of mold, while protecting all surrounding areas from any contamination. My particular situation involved removing the tub, toilet, vanity, the lower 3-4 feet of drywall and all the floor tile of the entire bathroom, closet of the adjacent room and part of the hallway between them. After all the mold was removed, Daniel arranged for a local air quality testing company to come test for the presence of any mold spores in the work area. Today they came and provided me with a clean bill of health for my house. Now the restoration process can begin. One of the things that really stood out was how patient and considerate Daniel was ... of my own schedule, of always having his office manager call to let me know exactly when he'd be arriving each day, and of explaining to me everything he was doing and why. (I'm a very inquisitive sort.) Another thing I appreciated is that Daniel never pressed to do any restoration work. In short, Daniel and his family went out of their way to make a stressful situation as stressless as possible. For all of that I am most grateful.

It would take hours to say everything that is wrong with this contractor. Why don't we start with…read morethis: when we came out to California to see the work he had done, he had done nothing, EXCEPT he and his workers had turned the water to the house off, left it off, and filled our two toilets with multiple bowel movements. So my partner came "home" to a house with two toilets FULL of dried feces which had been there for months. Believe it or not, it went downhill from there. The work was significantly below standard. Although we had paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars, he apparently used the money to finish other projects because when we got here, 12 months later, not much had been done and what had been done was done poorly. This is when he and his employees or subcontractors (he would never tell us which) began bullying us and terrorizing us. Example: we were sitting at the kitchen table and saw a mature manzanita bush in our front yard shaking. It was part of our landscaping. We ran outside to tell "Nathan", (Luke refused to tell us his last name when we told him we were going to file a police report) building a barbed wire fence across our front yard, which was not where we had walked it off with Luke. When we stopped him, he told us that if we went the way Luke and we had agreed on, "it would cost us more money." We told him that was between Luke and us, and that apparently made him so angry that he purposely drove his skid-steer right to the manzanita and knocked it down, AFTER we had told him we were saving it. Then he started down the hill to knock over a tree my partner was sawing branches off of. Finally the "fencing guy" signaled him to stop. I know that is unbelievable but it is true. (The wood from the Manzanita was one of the few things they cleaned up, and quickly. Luke never even apologized for this one.) We contacted Luke and told him to stop Nathan's path of destruction or we were calling Law Enforcement. Luke did talk to Nathan; I don't know what was said. As I wrote above, he refused to tell us Nathan's last name, and said if we contacted law enforcement, he would pack up everything and leave. He had so much of our money at that point that we felt like we had to give in. We told him that Nathan was never allowed on our property again, and unbelievably, Luke brought him back the next day. (We told him again that Nathan was not allowed here. he said he didn't know we felt that way, even after we told him what Nathan did and why he was not allowed there. Really? Luke seemed to send us invoices when he needed money rather than when the work was finished. He called us regularly asking for more money and making promises he never kept. So as he was finishing up the fence (which he never did finish) I asked him if there were any other invoices. He refused to answer me. Then the first week of December, he sent three fraudulent invoices which he had backdated to September for work he had never done. Example: he had some leftover gravel from concrete work he had done at our house and he asked if he could put it in the driveway. We said "sure." There wasn't much; the driveway is still mostly mud but it was fine to dump what he had left over in our driveway. This invoice, a year later, was for $3200 -- for a little bit of gravel in the driveway which we never requested. Yes! All three invoices were like this. There are stories after stories like this. The final kicker two days before Christmas. We had told him to always text before he showed up, because I am a professional who works at home via telehealth. We also put a sign on the door to that effect. Two days before Christmas, while I was in a Zoom call, he began banging on the door and would not stop. I finally went to the door and told him I was not available as the sign said and closed the door. He took this opportunity to pack up everything and leave. The fence -- his final project -- was not finished. The. day after Christmas he texted us and said he was coming to the house to "get paid." According to our records, he actually owed us money, and we told him so. He had not finished the last project, he had not paid us for the damage he and his crew had done to our property, (not mentioned in this already lengthy review) and other than the three fraudulent invoices, he did not send us any invoices that we owed him money for. So we told him not to come. That very day, the day after Christmas, he filed a mechanics lien on the house, then said if we did not negotiate with him he would charge us even more. I could go on and on and on. I can't believe he is even in business. I'm pretty sure he won't be for long.

There is anguish and disruption caused by mold/asbestos damage to one's home. Therefore, I was looking for someone committed to providing immediate and professional restoration services -- striving to achieve pre-disaster condition. Thus, I contracted with "911 Restoration of Redding, CA." They promptly replaced the oak floor and repaired the drywall after mold testing and abatement, effecting pre-disaster condition. Isaac Clark and his team were friendly and businesslike. Their good support and workmanship finally gave me peace of mind.

Isaac was professional from first contact to last. He and his crews communicated everything and did…read morewhat they said. I definitely felt I was in good hands, and in a stressful scenario like ours it was a breath of fresh air. Isaac answers his phone right away. That is a huge plus. I can't tell you how sometimes even the most basic stuff can make a difference. Like answering the phone! He told me exactly what they would do and then they did exactly that. I can tell you that wasn't my experience with a few of his competitors here in the area. They protected our bedroom (the access to the crawlspace is in our BR closet) and just generally were on time, and communicative about everything. I really appreciated these basic little things. And again, that was something I had to ask about with our other bids and it wasn't even included in the estimate. Isaac included that, assumed we wanted it, and was CORRECT. Basically, I didn't really have to ask for basic common sense things like that. Where other companies didn't include those things as an option in our estimate, Isaac rightfully assumed we would want that and quoted it without me having to ask. A few other companies we had out and one who our insurance hired for the initial water excavation showed up randomly, had leaky hoses (thankfully just outside the bedroom window into the yard) and just didn't instill confidence for us. One company said they'd get back to us with an estimate in a few days and after several weeks they STILL hadn't. The other company had a pump that didn't work etc etc.. the list just went on and on. Let's just say this company is leaps and bounds above what little we got from other companies during our crisis situation. There's not much that's needed to beat out the competition in this area, but they definitely do! Answering the phone, showing up on time, being professional, being thorough, and doing a damn good job makes us extremely happy we found them. If you've got this kind of situation (which I hope we never have again) you need look no further than Isaac and his team. Isaac even went to bat for us with our insurance company. Ace top shelf job guys. Very satisfied..professional and quality job through and through.
