New Life Service company did an excellent job cleaning up and then reconstruction after a water line broke inside my home while I was 750 miles away. In November 2024 I had just left to go to my winter home in Palm Desert when I received a call my friend who was watching my home. It was a Sunday to let me know about the broken pipe and the damage. I called several repair companies and left messages but when I called New Life Service they answered my call and were able to get a team out that evening. After drying the unit out they gave me contract to do the actual repair. Their contract was detailed enough that American Modern my insurance company approved the work and paid the claim within a few days. Since the leak destroyed my bathroom the room needed a complete redesign and New LIfe has very helpful design team The work was done on time and on budget. I hope you never have a broken pipe that causes significant damage like I had but if you do I highly recommend New Life Service company. read more

This company has come through for me twice in 5 years. The first time (5 yrs ago) it was a roof leak / ceiling collapse, the second time (March/April) a leak from a wood gutter rotted the entire south wall. They did excellent work and accomplished it in only a few weeks. Their work with an outside contractor to create and install seamless aluminum gutters was the final addition.They assigned a project coordinator to my reconstruction that I could contact when I had questions about the work or it's progress. They were friendly, did top notch work and their fees were reasonable. I will always call them first in an emergency repair situation. read more

My experience with this company was good from the get-go, but then they dropped the ball and don't contact me or talk to me about what they've done with her not done with when they're done in the bill. I still haven't received it after three weeks. I'm not sure they did what they were supposed to do. Was happy when they first came out because they actually showed up when they said they would but my calls have come with hardly any information back. Their communication is terrible. read more

Horrible Experience. Twenty months later my house is still not built. There are many features missing... no gas, no water, heating, pellet stove and fireplace, wooden porch and pergola, fence, and driveway, and garage door. I ended up paying for the kitchen sink and counters, toilet, floors, cabinets and lighting inside and out, and a front door. The electrical was done by Dan Salinger, who has no license, as far as I know. Or did not have at that time. It's messed up horribly and two inspectors told me it has to be fixed because it's dangerous. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The bank's check was late, so they got an attorney to file a lien on my acre. I had to get my friend and attorney to help me out. What a mess. And another problem is that I spent all my insurance money on the above items, and can not afford to hire anyone else right now. I feel so silly because I really believed they would actually give me the money back straight away. The house was supposed to be finished December 29,2017. It's very sad and especially uncomfortable as cold as it's been. I am basically up against my electric heater in my bedroom, which is the only room I can warm up. What I want to make clear is that after losing everything in a house fire, dealing with a dishonest, scamming company has been devastating. It's been a very rough twenty months. I will never get these months back. I am sixty-seven and every day counts. This has taken a toll on my health, physically and emotionally. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this. That's the only reason I'm writing this on Yelp. It was terribly stressful with all their delays, and signatures they needed. I had to sign for every little thing they did. And if I didn't, work would completely stop for weeks and months at a time. The first year I did Not know they were raising the price of the house with their 'insurance approval paperwork.' Later I found out they took the originals and added numbers, then recopied in color. Pretty sneaky unless you know how photoshop works. Well that's some of my story. I'm trying to be happy regardless of my situation at this time. I just hope some day those people at New Life Services realize and regret the harm they have caused. After a flood in our rec. Room we called New Life Service. Workers Brandon and Kevin showed up. They got water out, moved every thing. Tour out cabinets, baseboard, sheetrock ect; and set up drying machines. They came back each day to check on the drying of the room. We are pleased and so thankful to these fine men and this company. They work with our home owners insurance very well. Our damage was about 10,000 worth. There were multiply people who were assigned to our job and all of them were extremely diligent and careful. Having known the owners for 30 years, I expected honest, excellent work. Please feel free to either call or message me about this incident. BTW -- I love the internet (and Yelp) especially because it gives individuals a "voice" in their community that didn't use to exist. Two issues arose: (1) Part of the project required the removal and reinstallation of my 6' X 6' shower stall: they reinstalled it crookedly. Prior to its removal, the edges of the fiberglass stall had lain smoothly under the sheetrock of the walls, but now the shower stall is crooked, the right edge flush against the 2X4's and the left edge over half an inch out from the 2x4's. (This gap is MORE than the thickness of the sheetrock which is supposed to cover it.) When I showed this to the owner of the business, he argued that its position was normal (even suggesting the stall had originally been in this cocked position.) During the discussion, he repeated made it clear that the only "problem" regarding the crooked shower stall was in my own mind. He offered about $400 for me to hire someone to fix it (though, he made it clear, it didn't need to be "fixed".) But as I've looked closer, it's unclear if it even CAN be shifted back into place. Some plumbing work had been done in the course of the project, and I wonder now if the pipes and fixtures have not been replaced in their original position -- this would force the shower into its offset position. If THIS is the case, to put it into its original, evenly placed position would require the removal of the oposite side of the wall and correcting the placement of the pipes. Whatever repairs ultimately have to be done should never have been required in the first place. I'm concerned fixing the mispositioned shower stall which NLS left behind may go well beyond the $400 allocated. The easiest solution would have been for New Life to send their crew back to re-set the shower stall evenly, but when I suggested that, the owner laughed, shook his head, and said the workers would "never come back up now" to work on this project. This made me wonder if my having complained was so offensive to them that it rendered any corrective repairs impossible. It also made me wonder who the "boss" was -- the owner or the crew workers? To my way of looking at it, if the owner said, "Go back and re-do the shower stall's position -- let's leave behind a satisfied customer," the crews would simply do as they were instructed. However, I'm very unhappy with how they left my shower stall and am now living with our bathroom half torn apart until I can find someone to come and reset the shower. Very, very unhappy. (2) But even worse, New Life (NLS) was initially chosen by my insurance company to do preliminary bids for this water damage job. They turned in two bids to the insurance adjuster -- one for approximate, overall repair costs which was to be revised after an in-depth examination would determine what repairs were actually needed. This in-depth examination was bid at a substantially smaller amount and was intended to only open the project floors and walls enough to determine the cost of the full repair. I then selected them to complete the examination phase (the smaller bid) in preparation for the actual repair bid which would have gone to a contractor friend of mine. But the "job boss" set the NLS "repair machine" in motion. Before I really caught on, 90% of the repair portion of the project had been "shifted" from "repair" into the "examination" part, with the insurance company being billed directly -- essentially as though this extra work were some sort of "job over-run" or something. This meant that I no longer had a choice in who would complete the repair part of the job. Specifically, that my contractor friend was "outted" from the project. Left with a dismantled bathroom, a crookedly re-placed shower stall and very little left in the "repair" bid (which was to have been the bulk of the monies dispersed), all I can say is be careful if you have to deal with NLS. read more

My house had fire damage done to it. State Farm insurance company referred this company to me since my mom lives in the house I own and I live in another town. New Life Service Co. came out and gave me a list of repairs and a quote. I agreed to it. It took a long time to get the insurance company to send me the money for the repairs due to the adjuster being in another state and was out of the office for quite awhile. New Life Services gave me a contract that listed the scope of the work and the cost. I agreed to the contract. Then when I finally got all the money from the insurance company in my bank account so I could pay New Life Service Co. to do the job they initially didn't return my phone calls. Then the owner called me to say that several of his employees had quit their jobs so he couldn't do the work. Now I am wondering if he gave the insurance company a low ball bid and I'm wondering if the amount the insurance company paid me will cover the costs of a contractor who really will do the job. Right now I'm having a few of contractors come look at the damage and give me a bid. The insurance company wouldn't refer me to another contractor after this guy said he couldn't do the job. If the insurance company referred me to this company so that they could underbid the price it would really cost to do the repair and then dump me I won't be staying with the insurance company. So I'm seeking a competent company to do the job and if the cost of hiring a new company costs more money then the previous company said it would cost I will not stay with the insurance company. read more

Very pleased...My husband and I have needed the services of New Life Service Co. for three recent incidents. First, an ant invasion required spraying underneath our house. Somehow the contact of the ant spray with the dust underneath the house came in through the heating vents. New Life Service Co. came in and used ozone machines, filter units, and fans to get rid of the moldy smells inside our house. Next, we had our oak floors refinished throughout the house. If you have ever had this done, you know how wood dust covers everything! Two qualified cleaners from New Life came and totally cleaned our house. We were happy to find all walls, windows, blinds, floors, and other surfaces were spotlessly clean. Lastly, a rat died in our ceiling. Again, New Life's competent staff found and removed the decomposing rat. Then, after cleaning and treating the area, they used special equipment to get rid of the remaining odors. We are grateful and satisfied with the quick response, professional care and thoroughness of New Life Service Co., and will continue to use their services when needed. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. Dealing with New Life was an absolute disaster. The work was so shabby that even the building inspector was shocked. Our house suffered a flood and the quality of the repair work was done was awful. The workers left our home with the garage door open (when we were out of town.) When they moved the gas dryer, they left it uncapped and the valve open so we had a massive gas leak (and bill.) They turned off the power to the refrigerator so we lost all of our food. They broke a cabinet and three doors. They painted the entire house without removing any push pins, nails and without doing any prep work. When we complained they said that's how they thought we'd want it done! I can go on and on. Do not use them and save your house! read more

In October, 2014, I had a pipe burst in my water heater, and didn't know it until several days later, at which time I had damage to my kitchen and living room floors where the water leaked through the walls and came out into puddles on the kitchen floor. I"m in a manufactured home, so the particle board sub floor was swollen and there was a lot of water damage to my floors and the water heater closet. NLS came, inspected the situation and gave me an estimate. I told them I would like to wait until after the holidays, since I was told that all the furniture would have to be moved out and I would have to spend a week or so in a motel; and I was expecting family over the holidays. Well, I called them the first week in January and said I was ready to have the work done. I had to leave a message.......... no return call. So I called the next week, left a message.... no return call. so I called a few days later and asked the lady who answered the phone if I should find someone else to do the work, and lo and behold a gentleman came to the phone to talk to me. I was worried that there was another part of the foor that was damaged that they didn't see, so the man said he would come check it out the following Thurs.,, He called a couple of days beforehand and canceled, and said he'd call me later to make a new appt. Well, here it is March 23...... no phone call.......... no contact. It seems to me if they didn't want to do the work, all they had to do is tell me. The work has been done by another company, and you can rest assured that I will never recommend New Life Service to anyone! I tried to post this with no s tarts, but it wouldn't work.
