The day of the cleaning the guys coming to do the cleaning first called to say they were on their way, and also offered to bring Starbucks coffee for us. Booties were worn by them, as well as providing us with them to walk on the carpeting after they completed the work. Protection was layed down on our flooring and around all corners so as not to damage anything in our home. As Eric explained during the quoting process, if we removed the small items from furniture they would put foam protection under that furniture so has not to damage the carpeting while it was drying. Their substandard work resulted in months of extreme hardship, severe cross-contamination, and a job they ultimately abandoned. ​Cut N Dry was called in by the plumber, following a toilet leak in our master bathroom that affected the kitchen ceiling below. On day one, their crew failed to follow basic IICRC safety guidelines for a Category 3 loss. They performed mold remediation without a negative air pressure chamber, mishandled contaminated material, and left the house with incorrectly set up containments under positive air pressure. ​Shortly after the crew left, both incorrectly set up chambers failed, cross-contaminating our main living spaces and entire house, as we were allowed to run the AC. Although the next morning, Garrett, the operations manager, acknowledged the wrong set up of the containment chambers, and put up new negative air pressure chambers, he and the company refused to take responsibility for the resulting cross-contamination and its proper clean up. ​Despite photographic and video evidence, in addition to lab findings, they refused to follow IICRC guidelines, perform the required Condition 2 cleanup--including HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial wiping, and HVAC evaluation--and instead abandoned the job, leaving us to deal with this enormous costly and time-consuming tasks, and live in an unsafe cross-contaminated house, they had created. ​As a result, we endured 2.5 months of extreme hardship, had to live in contaminated living spaces left behind, and were unable to use our master bedroom, bathroom, or shower which testing revealed harmful type and or level of spores. ​My advice to other homeowners: Based on our horrible experience with Cut N Dry, I would avoid them at all cost.

Their sweet talk and positivity in the beginning is class act, however once you sign the contract and they have you under contract it goes downhill from there. This company and its construction crews and office administrators are the worst to work with. The construction crews are deficient in their abilities. Example, they send a painter to do wood framing and baseboards. He had no idea how to cut angles or measure properly. He installed doors on the wrong side of the casing having to redo and fill in cutouts for hinges. The gaps in the trim boards around the doors were enormous. I had to call in the project manager and have him redo them, as you will see in the videos I have attached. The trim was not secured properly they were trying to fill gaps in with Silicone and paint. The doors did not close properly, the drawers in the cabinets had to be redone because they would not close. I had to research and find the correct stain for my baseboards because they couldn't figure it out. When installing baseboards they just placed them against the wall and nailed them, leaving gaps due to the length of the board which was too long. I had them redo those also. There are numerous other issues that I could list that needed to be addressed but the list would be too long. When you talk to the project manager he makes nothing but excuses and continued to try and make it my fault ( the customer) All I wanted was for it to be done right. You see the commercials for Serve Pro and it says "LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED" what a joke. When I tried to work with them they just took advantage of my kindness and delayed the job for a month at one point before I finally had enough and fired the crew and got someone else in there to complete th job. The new construction company finished it in 4 days. I was waiting for Serve Pro to complete it for over a month. The entire reconstruction of the kitchen took 6 months due to the delays they caused. The Serve Pro office staff could just tell me they won't negotiate an there is nothing they can do. So once again DO NOT HIRE ANY SERVE PRO COMPANY unless you want nothing but headaches throughout your project. I was unable to download video or photos stating files to large. JUST HEED THE WARNING. He recommended Clear Coast Restoration. It was another week or so before we called them and they said they could come out the following Saturday. It had been a very slow dripping leak so we weren't too worried but they called back a couple days later asking if they could come later in the evening the next day to make sure there wasn't any major damage. Dillan (sp?) drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga on a Monday night at 6pm to come and check this out! We live in Rancho Santa Margarita and despite the similar name, they are NO WHERE NEAR EACH OTHER! He was so kind and tested for moisture both upstairs and downstairs and even answered some questions I had about a creaky, warped floor. He had an ugly commute to our house and then drove all the way home for NO business! He was so kind and I felt so bad for having him drive all the way out here, only to find everything was totally dry! If we ever have a leak or restoration work that needs to be done, we know who we're calling. If they put this much effort into a possible job, I can only imagine the quality of their customer care when it's a real test of their craftsmanship. They did not seem as professional, but they were responsive at least, even calling me specifically last week to say they were hiring weekend crews and was I open on the 1st (I wasn't) or the 8th (I was), both Saturdays in February. When Servpro didn't show today and I called to ask why, the office manager (Abbey Khoury) said that they don't work weekends. So then I asked why she had called last week to make the offer of service on a Saturday. She said she had no recollection of the conversation (and since it was a call, I have no proof of what was said). So back to square one for cleaning and remediation from the Eaton fire!
