They also were extremely trustworthy! When she returned to her house after it was done, they had found an heirloom necklace that she had previously lost and left it for her on her counter! Those repairs took months longer than they estimated, and a year after paying what we thought was the final amount they suddenly demanded thousands more dollars from a senior citizen on a fixed income. The amount owed kept changing without explanation, and the person in charge of accounts receivable sent terse responses that didn't answer our questions. Our insurance company has told us we don't owe that additional money, but ServiceMaster has said it will initiate collections against my mother-in-law, whose tiny monthly income goes entirely toward food and utilities. In addition, our insurance adjuster said he contacted ServiceMaster repeatedly for months without a response and finally closed the claim as a result. When I brought this up to ServiceMaster, their only response was, "Let's agree to disagree." What kind of company says that??? You will be unhappy if you use this company, I guarantee it. Despite all the horror stories about contractors, I never expected one to be this unprofessional and greedy.

They even offered to falsify documents to my home owners insurance company. Once they did that, I knew they were not trustworthy, and refused their service. That is when I called Lou Gil at 411 Restoration. I asked if he could come look at my house and give me an estimate for the work needing to be done. He came out right away and was immediately able to tell me that my situation was not what the other company explained it to be, still urgent, but not the massive undertaking that the other company described, no mold, just water. He was able to bring in a crew quickly and began drying out my house right away. He is very professional, friendly and trustworthy. He communicated what would happen and followed through. The cost was a fraction of what the other company wanted to charge and there was no structural damage. The technique he used was minimally invasive and only required us to paint a little where the work was done.
