    I returned home from an out of town trip to find that I had water pooling and running in my yard. A friend recommended Smith's based on their 5 star rating on google and the A+BBB rating. I read the reviews and checked out their website. I called and Amber was extremely nice and helpful in getting me setup for an appointment. She even gave me a number to send the video of the leak I had. My appointment was the next afternoon. The next day Amber had texted to let me know that if it rained the technician would reschedule since it would be difficult to find a leak in the rain but that the technician would let me know. However the rain held off and I received a text that the technician was on his way. The text had a picture along with the name of who was coming. That is something I liked and really felt stood out with customer service. The technician Joe arrived extremely nice guy down to earth very professional. He got right to the job and literally within 15 minutes checked out what was going on. He gave me the estimate-and military discount. I was ready to schedule for the service to see when they could do it. I pulled my calendar out and Joe was like are you going to be here and I said yes and he said ok I'll go get my tools. Lol! I was like this is great I had no idea he had time to take care of it today. It was perfect. Joe got to work and I mean this guy worked! He got the job done and made sure everything worked ok. Found the problem, fixed it better than before with better parts. He made sure that the work he did I was happy with and I'm telling you the service from this company from the first phone call to Amber to meeting Joe was "Top of the Line" excellent service! The quality of work and I felt the price was fair. I hope I do t have another leak but if I need any plumbing done, Smith's will be my first call. They service a lot of areas including North Mississippi and they give military discount. Thank you guys again! I'm one happy and freshly showered customer!

    $$$$$$ I called them…read moreup for a job and they WAY over quoted me. Another BBB A+ rated plumber did the same job for less than 20% of what they quoted me. (They were overpriced by 80%, compared to the other company.) The guy who came out to quote the job started off confident and nice and then he ended very wishy washy and told me they try to be right there (pricing) with Hiller Plumbing and some of the other big name companies (rip offs) in town. When I received the quote, I saw that he was right. They were Wayyyyyy overpriced. They quoted me a "two man job for two days" at approx $2,200. I found another great licensed plumber who completed the job for $417 out the door and he completed the job perfectly in about 2 hours. The Traditional plumbing guy who quoted me, also told me he had multiple bosses (like 3 or 4, I can't remember exactly) that needed to all call him back individually asking the same questions. It didn't instill much confidence and it only appeared that they either wanted to price gouge me, or... they didn't know what they needed to do so they over quoted, just in case. Either way, no thanks. I'm into hiring quality, honest people for a fair price for both of us. I'm not into writing blank checks and paying outrageous unfair prices.

My husband called Conway and they sent over a very polite and professional man named Terry over here the following day (today, December 3rd 2025) -- he was able to quickly replace that outlet along with another one we wanted replaced and he was SO helpful by explaining to us about when outlets need to be replaced and why. I have personally had numerous VERY bad experiences with repairmen in the past, to the point where I felt fear for my life, however Terry was so professional and personable so it immediately put me at ease. My husband and I are beyond pleased with the work he provided and we are very appreciative of how professionally he carried himself whilst still being so kind and courteous. If we ever need Conways services again, I will specifically be asking for Terry.

    I needed my main sewer line reamed out, and was lured in by a $79 special they were having. My God…read morethis company is a joke. They sent one guy out who didn't have the tool to open the outside outlet to the sewer line. Then another guy showed up he didn't have any tools either. He then moved through my front yard like Karnak, The Magician using ESP to decide I needed to replace my entire sewer line for $15,000. What these con artists were really selling was a 15 year loan to pay for the sewer line replacement. I kept saying I only needed my main sewer line reamed out. Oh, that was going to cost anywhere from $700 to $1000. These guys are not plumbers. Do Not Use Them. And for God's sake don't sign anything. The guy kept pushing this clip board at me saying, "Sign it. Sign it." The whole operation is crooked. ~RUN--WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE~

I'm not a plumber so I'm not educated enough to purchase the right parts for this specific job. I decided I would use google as an attempt to find an actual plumbing store around the Memphis area. Google lead me to All - Rite Plumbing Parts. I walked in and was helped immediately. I showed the guy at the counter the photographs of what I needed and he said, "that's a (insert correct product name). He went in the back and returned with a box containing everything I needed. I know this is a long review, I'm just trying to point out that the guys at All - Rite Plumbing really know their stuff. It was no nonsense, they gave me exactly what I needed. I will definitely go back if I need plumbing parts. These guys are knowledgeable and won't try to rip you off.

    Well, I was trimming hedges and accidentally screwed up the electric wire behind my AC unit right…read morein the middle of the last heat wave. Oops. I called around to several places and One Hour Heating and Air was the only place that could get to me in the next 24 hours, and they were out first thing in the morning on 7/5/2023. Other places quoted me over a week out. My technician was Bill Minor and he was super polite, and walked me through everything he did (I'm a note taker.) He was able to reconnect the wire with wire nuts on top of the wires, and when we went inside to test when it was back on, he noticed it wasn't really pushing cold air. Air, sure, but not cold air. That's how my system had been since I bought the place, I explained, and that it was "on." He disagreed. He shows me how the back tube should be ice cold while working and mine was lukewarm. He said this could be WAY better. I was perplexed because my AC had just been looked at/serviced by Hiller AC in May. A power surge fried some wires and they had to take the units totally apart. I was told the freon was super expensive for old units (like $2k for freon) and to replace both units. $20k was my quote for brand new AC units. they said don't bother with new freon, replace the units. Was also told that modern day freon wouldn't work in my 1989 old TRANE brand units. Bill from One Hour went, "I can vastly improve the air, and no way is the freon gonna be that expensive. You've been had. (conned.)" He proceeds to tell me if I just add 2 lbs of freon, I will be getting ICE COLD air. Its 95 degrees out. I just had another AC unit company out there. They didn't point that out. I'm a bit blown away by his service at this point. I explain my bewilderment but I fully trust him by this point. Being a single female, throughout my home ownership, I've repeatedly been given repair quotes and have it be high. They don't expect a lot of questions or try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Bill 100% did NOT do that. He walked me through every step, was super thorough, turned my AC from functional to fantastically cold, and pointed out everything apparently Hiller hadn't mentioned or skipped over with me. I ended up with One Hour by happenstance and now I'll never use anyone else. And with all these outages, I've been recommending them profusely to everyone else I know out here now. He proceeds to get my permission for the $100 per pound freon (that yes, CAN go in my unit after all) and $200 later, we wait a few minutes and check again: I have ice cold, arctic air coming out of my vents! He then proceeds to tell me about the monthly subscription to One Hour and all of its benefits. That it will really help my old units in their maintenance and they could survive longer with good care. (because I don't exactly have $20k lying around for new units.) I am SO thankful to Bill, truly. He repaired my unit, noticed things the other company didn't (or just didn't tell me), answered every question I had, got my air ICE COLD and was a great guy through the whole process. I was taught that a good contractor is someone you'd let your grandma use. Well, Bill could DATE my grandma and be part of the family. My AC is amazingly cold now, and my electric bill has gone down (because its so much more efficient now.) Use One Hour and insist on Bill Minor, his badge said he was the Chief Mechanical Officer. You won't be disappointed. My AC can now take a 78 degree room down to 70 in an hour with his help now! Lowest I could ever get it before was 75. I hope he sees this! Thank you, Bill!
