Called Conway to request and quot it an est on services which were leaky faucets. on first initial call I talked to a wonderful lady named Theresa she stated that there was no service charge/fee and even provided me with a $50 off coupon. but then dispatch calls and says it's $119 diagnostic fee that doesnt go toward booking services and the $50 coupon also can't be used toward diagnostic fee only for services if I chose to proceed. no thank you you guys don't even have clear concise communication within your company how can I trust you to not overprice my services. read more

I needed my main sewer line reamed out, and was lured in by a $79 special they were having. My God this company is a joke. They sent one guy out who didn't have the tool to open the outside outlet to the sewer line. Then another guy showed up he didn't have any tools either. He then moved through my front yard like Karnak, The Magician using ESP to decide I needed to replace my entire sewer line for $15,000. What these con artists were really selling was a 15 year loan to pay for the sewer line replacement. I kept saying I only needed my main sewer line reamed out. Oh, that was going to cost anywhere from $700 to $1000. These guys are not plumbers. Do Not Use Them. And for God's sake don't sign anything. We had a loose outlet that ended up breaking the power to all the outlets on the west side of our house. My husband called Conway and they sent over a very polite and professional man named Terry over here the following day (today, December 3rd 2025) -- he was able to quickly replace that outlet along with another one we wanted replaced and he was SO helpful by explaining to us about when outlets need to be replaced and why. I have personally had numerous VERY bad experiences with repairmen in the past, to the point where I felt fear for my life, however Terry was so professional and personable so it immediately put me at ease. My husband and I are beyond pleased with the work he provided and we are very appreciative of how professionally he carried himself whilst still being so kind and courteous. If we ever need Conways services again, I will specifically be asking for Terry. read more

Let me preface this by saying if I could leave zero stars I would. I realize I called after hours, on a Friday night, the day before a holiday. However, I was told that they would have a technician out between 6-10pm. At 8:30, I had not received a text, call, or email, and wanted to confirm my appointment. I was assured that yes, I had an appointment, and they would be here by 10pm. They offered to have dispatch call to give me an ETA. 9:40 rolls around, and I still had not heard from anyone. I called again, and was told I was still scheduled. I told them I never heard from dispatch, they said they would again request to have dispatch call. At 10:30 I called again. I explained my upstairs bathroom sink was overflowing(pretty sure it's from the AC compressor) with water coming up from the drain. Water was turned off underneath, and I've been bailing water for the last 7 hours. She said the technician was running behind but I was still scheduled, and someone would be out. I again requested a call from dispatch. 11:30, no technician, no phone call from dispatch. I called again, and spoke with the same woman. She asked if I still wanted to keep my appointment. Seriously??? I'm in for a penny, in for a pound at this point. I've turned off my AC, which anyone in Memphis knows how hot it is. This has helped with the flooding issue, but now I have an AC issue, and it is unbearably hot. I explain this to the customer service rep. I explained that if I had known there was a chance of them not showing up, I would have called another 24 hour emergency plumbing company. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said absolutely not, not after the way I've been gaslighted for the last 5 hours, and she hangs up on me. We've used Conway in the past, but I will never, never use them again. I will tell anyone thinking about giving them their business to look elsewhere. Not only are they ridiculously overpriced, they lie, and their customer service sucks. Its in the name CON-artist never had in issue but we always had home warranty shield until last year. we bought the house never had an issue with the AC called Conway for service just to clean the unit and change the filter. the guy came clean and change the filter great job paid the high as price when i could of went to homedepo or costco to get these filter. after the service my AC started having problem call them back they advise a system replacement. called Smith pluming and AC compare the quote. The WORST HVAC company I have ever dealt with. We spent $10k with them in Jan. 2025 on a new heat system. After 2 scheduled service calls that were no call/no show and various other issues. Fast forward to July 2026...Our ac wasn't cooling. Their tech diagnosed that our unit was failing but reiterated that the coolant level was "RIGHT WHERE IT NEEDED TO BE." A new unit was recommended at a cost of almost $16K. We decided to get a 2nd. opinion and that tech told us that the unit was clogged with dirt, the sensor was completely unhooked and it had a coolant leak, but that the unit ABSOLUTELY DID NOT need to be replaced. So for the cost of a 2nd service call our unit is working perfectly again. I can't help but feel like Conway was trying to soak us for an expensive new unit. Do you think I would EVER call this company for assistance on something where I had no choice but to be beholden to them because of a lifetime parts warranty? I called for a potential water leak. My technician was professional, courteous, and helpful. He couldn't easily pinpoint the issue, so rather than cutting into walls to find the leak, he recommended calling a leak detection company first. He also waived the diagnostic fee. I have been a customer of Conway for 15 years and bought a new unit in 2022. I pay them $13.95 a month for service and discounts and have always been satisfied with there service. Today my Air went out and they told me that they couldn't come out to Friday, this has really made me upset, I have a warranty and a member and they want me to wait until Friday. It is like being a member and a good customer doesn't mean anything. I had to call someone else to come fix my Air and pay money I should not have had to pay. I believe that Conway owes me $400.00 is what it cost to fix. I would not recommend them. I am going to cancel my service with them when My Warranty runs out. Heat went out called at 6:30PM and was told someone would be here by 9PM. No one showed up or called. When I called at 9PM for an update, I was told no one was coming and they could be there between 8 and 12 the next day. They got here at 11Am. The issue was the igniter had gone out and needed to be replaced. This is a $25 dollar part. They wanted $600 plus tax for this $25 part. We looked up the part on Amazon and for the universal part was $75. I understand a markup but an 800% markup. They are trying to take advantage of the cold. THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY WITH GOOD COMPANY PRACTICES. Called Choates and was able to get it fixed same day without paying an 800% markup. Was a customer of Conway for the past 20 years. Worst experience ever!!! Had to get a new HVAC about 2 years ago & having Conway do it has been one of the worst decisions we've ever made. From the start of losing our electrical for our virtual doorbell, that's never worked again, to damaging our walls & repairing/painting the wrong color that sticks out like a sore finger, to the unit continuing to breakdown & have problems, taking them several trips to try & fix it over several weeks, has been a nightmare. Yes, it has been down again for about a month & after waiting for different parts and services needed, we were up & running for almost 1/2 days & it froze up again. Husband called to get service & they were unclear about when they could come out. Shocker I know!!! I decided to look at the Yelp reviews to see if anyone else was having these issues & it looks like everyone is. If you've had success with them please tell the rest of us how you did it, because this is just the pits. So very disappointed & I don't normally write reviews but if I can save just 1 family from going through the nightmare we have the past two years, it will be worth it. Awful service. Tried to upsell me for new coils and said I was low on freon and there was a leak in the system. Also said the heat pump wouldn't work without the freon. I had a reputable firm come out the next day and they said 1) you do not have a heat pump. You have electric heat. 2) There is no leak in your system. Jeremiah, the Conway tech, obviously did not want to be working on a Sunday. He even said he was tired when he walked in. Also, he left a mess from his shoes from a previous job. (He did clean it after I pointed it out) I feel they try to make sure you feel your system is broken so they can make $$ off people. Stay away. Read the other reviews on Yelp as well as Reddit. Avoid! These guys are only interested in selling new hvac units. Terrible value if you respect your hard - earned money. Did you know that the technicians get a commission off "finding" any unit that is 12-15 years old and reporting it back to the sales team? Guess what happens? Most systems magically "need to be replaced" to the tune of several thousands of dollars. Anyhow, Can all of these very bad reviews be wrong? In my experience the many bad reviews here are unfortunately true. But n my service, the technician tried to razzle-dazzle me with a fake coolant leak detection, supposed mold buildup in the vent (it wasn't),and a fan that motor that pulled too many amps 1.6 vs 1.5A) It was all a lie! Turns out the tech somehow shorted out the hvac/ furnace control board. On the callback they are a no-show. AVOID this nightmare. Don't even bother trying to explain your way out of this CONway. The word is out around town you are not a good value if you are misleading customers like all the bad reviews show. Very Bad form. I would recommend anyone to NEVER even consider this company for any kind of service. Had to call another tech and spend $600 for a controller board replacement and about a pound of coolant because that's all that was wrong in the first place. read more

I have been calling Conway offices for the past 2 weeks. I am attempting to cancel a peo service plan, Elite member. Each time that I've reached someone, I was told that I would receive a call back to cancel the service. I have gotten mulitple calls from 901-341-6722, only to be told they were calling to schedule a service. I don't want anymore services from Conway! It has been a total run-around to get to speak with anyone that will cancel this service plan. Has anyone else had this issue! As of this moment I have been on hold for 20 minutes, claiming I am being transferred to cancel the plan! Horrible, absolutely horrible customer service! read more

June 21, 2025 Conway came out to do a general maintenance at my air conditioner. Within 3 hours after he left it's blowing hot. Called them back at 2pm Saturday and was told they will send a manager out. No show No call. I had to purchase a window unit to stay cool. Monday I had to call them and still nobody. You have to go through their national call center. You can't talk to your local Conway service dealer. So finally on Tuesday Lisa Allen tells me someone will be out here Wednesday. I had Choates come out Tuesday night and there was to much freon put in and my unit had not been cleaned. Coils dirty. Conway sends out the same tech who messed it up. So I had my recorder going and he States he did clean the outside unit but not upstairs. The picture I have shows the dirt. And he also states he did not put to much freon in. So tovadd insult to injury, they solution is a $50 gift card. Read these other reviews as I wished I had. Those cheap service calls, cost you a heck of a lot more. Don't use Conway. Absolutely the worst service provider. I had a new HVAC system installed Oct 2023. I had to call them back because the brand new compressor was making a grinding noise. I was given a 12-4 service call window. At 4:30 I had to call to reschedule. The rescheduled appointment for the next day was 8-12. I waited 7.5 hours for the tech only to be told the noise was normal. It is not. Then the inspector for the city came out and the installation failed inspection. Another service call was placed and I was given an 8-12 window. It's now 3 pm and they are not here. Absolutely worst company to do business with! read more

I have used Conway in the past for plumbing and HVAC needs and they do have a tendency to price gouge you when problems arise. Today I had them out for a main line cleanout and with an online deal of $83 able to clean or it's free. They couldn't locate an exterior clean out, so told me it would be $1100 to go through the roof but they could discount it to $800. If something is broken it's close to $5000. I understandably said I'd need to think about this and asked for a quote in writing. On the quote it said I "refused to go with this option" and then "refused to pay the diagnostic fee". I simply informed them of their own advertised deal. We've already called another company who has offered the same service for $200 less. Uncompetitive prices and employees became incredibly rude as soon as you decline services. read more

Nonexistent communication, unfulfilled promises. I do not recommend Conway Services! I was approached by a Conway rep at Lowe's asking if I wanted a check on my AC systems at an excellent price. I agreed, and we set a window for the service. The date came and I took the morning off from work, yet no one ever showed up! I called during the window and was told the tech would be here. No updates from Conway at any time. I called after the time frame to complain, and they said they could reschedule a MONTH later. I eventually spoke with management who set up another window the next Saturday afternoon. Once again, the time came and went, and no one showed even when their dispatch said the tech was on the way. OVER 2 HOURS after the window, they called and said the tech was heading to my house. Stupidly, I left an engagement and drove 45 minutes back only for the tech to tell me he couldn't do anything because of the weather. First let me say we have used Conway for years as they put in a new system for us in 2009 and they have serviced it over the years That being said when you have an issue they try to price gouge you. Today we had them out because the heat was out, come to find out it was the circuit board. They gave me a price of $1100 to replace it or they could put a new furnace in and they could finance that. Well we set up to have an estimate on the new furnace but as we waited for Conway to come we had another guy come out. Neither of these guys gave us the option of a STOP leak product that is available. I found this out about this product from another company that serviced my daughter's system. I purchased a $16K generator that isn't working. When I called the service line I was told that they would have a technician out to my home on 7.21.23 between 8 and noon. I received a call back about 45 minutes later and was told that the manager stated that the technician/electrician wouldn't be to my home until 8/24/23. Currently I am without power to my home due to the generator that was installed has failed. This is totally unacceptable. I have recommended this company to several neighbors and friends and they have purchased generators. My water was dripping in my bathtub. I called about 5 different companies for price quotes and I asked up front did they have service charge. They said yes but if they do the work that would go toward the work done. I then called Conway. They said no service fee the would tell you what was wrong if you couldn't afford it that was that on that. Also 20% off the work for seniors. First I was quote over 600.00 . I knew it needed new gasket when the handles don't turn anymore. Now if the work for a company they know the cost. He came back and quoted 546.00 at this point they are here and other companies already said they just couldn't take your word for it. Now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I just let them do the job because i felt like i was being screw anyway. They has no paper contracts i was told i could pay in cash. I did. And i had to esign. Shortly afterwards i recieved an email saying i had i had esigned for something on paypal so i called paypal. I knew not to click in the email but i called paypal direct because i havent use paypal since 2020. The said it was spam .i called conway to let them knowv i that it to be ironic this to happen on the same day around the same time. Between the price and how it was done for pricing and it took him about 10 minutes to do the job. Yes i was screwed and the know it. Also the little flipper in my other tub was quoted 800. They would cut a hole in the wall but not put the peice back they're not contractors. At 800.00 thats more than my mortgage. They got me that time but never again. I was told problem with my furnace was rusted holes that made the flame go out which was the reason I wasn't getting heat and that I needed a new unit. After getting 3 quotes I had the unit replaced by a more reasonable company but was surprised Conway cashed my check! The TV advertisement was for a tuneup which couldn't be done. I am a senior citizen and felt they took advantage of me thinking I would authorize them to replace it and when I didn't they took my money! read more

We purchased a furnace and AC from them. The blower motor burned out. It is still under parts warranty. So the part is free. They want to charge 800.00 to install the new part. I don't know anyone who gets paid 400.00 and hour. I am very disappointed in this company. read more

While Conway is certainly not the cheapest company in the area, at one time I believed the premium prices were worth the services provided. I have spent a considerable amount of money, probably more than I should have, with this company over the years. I was even foolish enough to spend money on their service plan. While most of the services Conway provided in the past were performed well, although with an inflated price tag, the latest attempt to get Conway out to our home has been a disaster. After three no call/no shows, I'm beyond frustrated with the lack of response and care this company has shown. The lip service provided by the customer service team is nothing more than that, just empty promises falling on deaf ears at this point. EDIT: I texted their "Quality Insurance" team as instructed in this company's response. Never received a call back from them. Did set up a fourth appointment with someone in their "Customer Service" department. Let's just say, I was less than surprised when they no called/no showed on this fourth appointment as well. There's no excuse whatsoever for a company to make four separate appointments, not keep any of them and not even provide the common courtesy of a phone call to the customer. Can I give them zero stars? Have a delta faucet was dripping. Took them two days to come. The tech insisted he knew all about faucet. He told me how he worked with the owner of the company with these faucets. Hmmmm . First he said there were particles in solenoid. He cleaned that. That didn't work. The. He said that the washers in the intake valves were bad and had to replace valves for 400 plus dollars. Well first he tired to make a joke and say it was thousands Not funny Never good to joke about money in my opinion. Ok fair enough we said ok fix those. He replaced them. And guess what. That wasn't the problem. So I told him it's time to calll delta He couldn't even find the right number. I gave it to him. Oh and he left the tankless water heater on and almost burned it up it was screeching so bad it work up my friend who realized what the feckless tech had done. Luckily it wasn't damaged or so we think Then he drops some tool into the area behind the sink and can't get it out. Delta says they are sending part. A week later here he comes again and asks me where the part is. Duh. It's not here yet. But he does get under the Sink and retrieve whatever he left there last time And when the part does arrive he's ordered the wrong part and ....... That's not the part that controls the leak / drippy faucet anyways. Good news. He was happy to show me videos of him shooting big guns. I didn't ask to watch. He just saw some memorabilia in the house and thought he d share his hobbies with me So if you want to spend 500 to not get your leak fixed and waste days of your time. Call Conway.
