My bigger issue is (1) they don't provide you anything in writing even after asking multiple times (2) I agreed to have them complete the repairs on my unit for a total of $1,300, minus the amount of the service call ($62). (3) The tech was supposed to be processing my payment of $62 for the service call on my debit card and he charged me for the entire $1,300 repair that hadn't taken place. I was ASSURED by this tech that it would be reversed first thing this morning by their office team. I never intended to pay the actual repair on my debit card, which I told the tech before he ran the charge. I have now placed 4 calls to them for a status update, each time i'm advised an urgent message has been sent to accounting to reverse the transaction but no reversal has taken. There is zero sense of urgency for them to rectify their "mistake". This was only caught when I asked the tech to provide me with a receipt for the amount I was paying. I have since canceled my service call with them because I have little faith in their integrity based on something so simple that was an error on their part taking an entire day to resolve. Remarkably unprofessional, inconsiderate and poor customer service. I will share this review on every platform.

Everyone who answered the phone or returned calls was courteous and helpful. We needed a new toilet with bidet seat for a disabled son. Is tomorrow ok for the tech to come out for a quote? Wow! Next day, Cabe arrives, no spiel but an honest assessment, good information, no BS. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had an easy humor. And he listened to us! Next week he installs the toilet and bidet, and on his way out I ask him to look at the faucets in the laundry area. They were pretty bad, and as I had already thought, should probably be replaced. Give me a quote, I say, and when he does I ask when he can do the work. Right now, he replies, pending clearance from the office. Clearance granted, he replaces the faucets with new quarter turn ones. Yes, he had to cut into the wall, and while he wasn't obliged to patch it up, he put it back together fairly well. Not long after that we called about a leaking shower. Again Cabe shows up. Replaces the cartridge, but while the leaking stops, the shower handle spins 360 and doesn't check the water from reaching scalding temperatures. But he doesn't support that brand of faucet. Nevertheless, he needs only a few parts - he actually hunts them down at the local big box store! When he leaves, we have a working shower that won't burn our son. He didn't have to do go to all this effort. But he demonstrated a concern for our son's needs. We were the focus of his attention. Excellent service and a real nice guy. Cabe was outstanding, a real gem. Trustworthy. He's like a good friend. I can't recommend Smith's highly enough.

I asked him about shutting off the water at the street. I had been trying to change out a shower faucet cartridge & the cutoff at the street would not budge. Scott told me to call the city. He also asked what I was trying to do. He told me the faucet had two cutoffs behind the faceplate & I could use those to turn the water off to the faucet. I have the exact same problem I had before they arrived and I am out $267. I called the company last week and let them know that I would like a refund and I did not want their technicians back here. I said a manager could come, but for some odd reason, I have not heard back from the toilet manager as I am now referring to him. Prior to this, I had one of a ceiling fan, a sink faucet in the kitchen, and a quick and easy arm in my shower. That was $544. I was pleasantly greeted, and my information was gathered. I've been dealing with a bathtub that was super slow to drain. I was told that a technician could be at my house in an hour. Josh, the Roto-Rooter tech, was at my house in less than an hour. He was amiable, listened to what I had the day, and took care of the problem. Did I love having to pay to have a drain snaked out? No. What Josh awesome and do a great job? Yes. Toto-Rooter left me the experience that I was expecting from their inferior competitor. They were great, and I would definitely use again.
