I've been a project manager for an international company for over 20 years (built a new home when I took a job with them) and have dealt with dozens of local businesses/contractors over nearly anything you can think of for a manufacturing facility. Solace has been a company that I've worked with since I guess they got started in this area around the beginning of 2021. I took a chance on a startup company to replace my antiquated HVAC system. I was looking for a 20 SEER unit to take advantage of the improvements of technology right as COVID hit. I contacted several HVAC sellers: AirTech, Chotes, Conway, etc. to get various quotes. I had them each quote a base 14 SEER system and then some of the higher models. Solace was the most reasonably priced company and did not try to upsell me on anything. Some of the others I'd have quote my home project were almost twice as much for comparable solutions. The project was completed at cost, and with the improved HVAC system I've reduced my monthly electric by about 50% upgrading from an old 10 SEER which will pay for itself in a few years. I've always had respectful and reliable service from Solace since they installed my HVAC. I've maintained a yearly maintenance agreement for peace of mind with them. In just the past two months my water heater went out the Wednesday before Christmas 2023. Other than the maintenance visits each year, I'd not had much interaction with Solace. I called Solace as they had just started up their plumbing side of the business, I believe in 2023 and was expecting that they would not be able to replace my unit before Christmas. Many other businesses were already booked with the holiday so close. I spoke with Solace and I cannot express how much I appreciate what their business could do for my family on short notice. Solace was able to fit my home into their schedule and replace the water heater within a day. The price was fair and avoiding a holiday disaster was worth its weight in gold. You might think that because of the explosion in growth they have experienced, their quality of service has diminished in some way. That's not been my experience. The company has provided reliable work for every inspection and every project upgrade for my home without fail. That's not to say that there haven't been a few problems (manufacturing supply shortages, defects, etc.) but how a company handles them is really what sets them apart from others. The first water heater that arrived had some type of manufacturing issue with the tank. Again, this was the weekend before Christmas, but they still came back out the next day to replace it. No questions asked except to work around our schedule. That's true customer service. Finding a good mechanic for your car is hard, let alone an honest one. I do feel at this time that I have found a good company to continue to do business with for years. If the quality-of-service changes, I will update this review. From the minute Jeremy stepped foot in my home, he was a complete caring professional. Jeremy was so very knowledgeable about his work. He new that I was on a budget and discussed the best ways for me to conserve my spending with Solace. Most people are looking at how they can charge you extra, but Jeremy was truly concerned about my budget. During the time of the service, there was a minor incident on part of Solace and being the absolute professionals they are, they took care of the extra work at no cost to me. They literally had another crew out to my home the very next day (Saturday) to fix the unexpected issue. This level of service is not what I have received in the past with other heating and air companies. It blew my mind how on top of things they were! In addition to these great actions taken by Solace, they also offer financing through their company. For my situation, I did not have the amount of cash in fist needed for my repairs, but their in house financing was a God send! Did I mention no interest for 24 months? After my service was completed by Jeremy, I then got a call directly from the head manager Michael. This kind man wanted to be sure that Solace services was up to parr and was I satisfied with their services. This too was above and beyond! I cant say enough about Solace, Jeremy, Candy and Michael! I hired Solace to install a new HVAC unit for my home, to replace one that had recurring problems. The crew - Phil, Dave, Steve, and James arrived on-time in the morning and worked until mid-afternoon. They went above & beyond the installation of the HVAC, re-wiring the breakers that a previous installer had done a real "Mickey Mouse" job on, and they installed new breaker boxes. They took the time to help me correctly label the main breaker box to reflect the new wiring. They also helped me understand the correct filters I needed to help keep the HVAC system in good working order. I incorrectly assumed that the higher the MERV rating of the filter, the better it is for the air quality. I learned that I had been buying filters with an unnecessarily high (and more expensive) MERV rating. You can tell that these guys love their job and take pride in the quality of their work. They cleaned up the area so that I couldn't tell they were ever here, except for the fact that they left behind a newly-installed HVAC to heat and cool my home for many years to come. It's nice to hire a company that actually delivers a quality product and service - very rare these days. I woke up and learned my Nest thermostat was acting up. Strangely it seemed to clear up after about 30 minutes. Then the fan motor began to hum but not run. I looked at reviews and saw that Solace had some really good reviews. I went in to work for a half day and came home before lunch. I chatted with the technicians and explained what was wrong. They seemed quite knowledgeable and connected me to their dispatcher. I told Shannon I needed an appointment and when she learned I was already taking a half day she offered to have a crew come this afternoon. The two guys showed up early and immediately began to diagnose what was wrong. After that they gave me a list of things and quotes. They got to work and made the agreed upon repairs. Once the thermostat was working they learned that the blower motor was only starting intermittently and that was the source of the humming. They had the necessary replacement blower motor in their van and everything checked out. The system is working much better now and I am so pleased. These guys were extremely nice and worked to get everything done today. I really recommend them if you ever need your heating or cooling system serviced. Thank you Solace. read more

Solace is an honest company. Please stay away from Conway!!!! They lied about the parts in my furnace going bad! Also they inflate the prices!! Conway tried to first sell me an entire heating and air-conditioning system for 11 thousand!!! I said I can't afford that. Then they got a salesman to call and try to sell me a 4500.00 dollar system!! I said I didn't have that kind of money. Finally they quoted the parts to be replaced to cost 2557.00!!! The parts were : air blower motor, circuit board, and capacitor. Conway tried to sell me the circuit board for 1155.00!!!! SOLACE quoted me 375.00 for the same universal replacement circuit board! SOLACE came to my duplex. Checked the furnace and found that the only problem was the electric gas valve!!! I bought the gas valve and bought 2 maintenance policies for 800.oo dollars!! Please stay away from Conway!! And don't trust Choats either!! They will over-fee you before they even look at the furnace!! I am very pleased with SOLACE. I would recommend Solace. From the time the Solace team came to figure out what made my A/C die, through explaining my problem and options, and installing the new equipment, everyone was professional, explained in terms I could understand, and patient in answering all my questions. Seth drew pictures for me to explain how each system operates so I could make an informed decision. And then Dawson and Howard were quick and efficient in their installation. They even vacuumed up what hadn't been caught in their drop cloths. They explained everything they did and answered all my questions. Oh, and their price beat their competitor's I also solicited for a quote. I used Solace before when I had some plumbing work done earlier this year and had ann equally wonderful experience then as well. I purchased a new central air system from Solace in June 2022. There were problems with the installation, problems with cooling, and problems with heating. The unit completely quit in July 2023. I had a maintenance agreement with Solace, a plan Solace did not follow. Solace told me it would repair or replace the unit at no cost to me. It's been eight weeks and no word from Solace. Solace didn't return my phone calls. Solace did provide a portable air conditioner, but the hose that takes out the hot air keeps falling off, filling the room with hot air. Not only is this careless and failing customer service, Solace has put me in dangerous situations, once in the middle of winter with temperatures inside the house in the 30's and now in the middle of summer with temperatures outside in the mid 90's to 100 degrees. I highly recommend this company! I called them out for furnace maintenance. I then had 3 projects completed by them. I had duct work redone; so the heat and a/c flow was properly distributed throughout my house. Most of the heat was going to the upper level and the lower level was always cold. They replaced gas fire place logs. Finally they installed a gas heater in my patio, which included installing the connection from the gas line. Each project was tested to make sure things were working properly. All communication was excellent and each service person was professional and polite. The service calls were all scheduled in a timely manner, within a specific time frame and the workers arrived on time. I was contacted when they were on their way. . The prices were also reasonable.
