We had our first heating issue since moving to Arlington. This is the guy to call. Great response time, courteous, and reasonable pricing.

Before you read anything else, know this... OUR AC IS FIXED because of Chris and we are so…read morethankful. Chris originally came out to look at our system as part of our Choice warranty, and immediately diagnosed problems that our previous AC person didn't find at all after multiple visits. When Choice didn't cover the claim, he assured that his prices would beat most places like Choate's and we agreed. He was having phone problems, so there were some issues getting things scheduled, with him sometimes coming pretty late in the evening. But when he showed up he went right to it and put us on a course to fixing the problem. Phone issues happen so I'm sure it was more frustrating for him. He found some duct issues and a part that had been installed backwards that was causing our system to not work right. None of this was found during the home inspection when we bought the house six months ago. He also found a mold issue inside our unit and provided options on how to fix that that we'll have him install soon. Here's our rating: Knowledge: 5 stars Scheduling: 3 stars (This is the easiest one to fix, so once the phone issue is resolved, it'll be at 5 stars.) Issue resolution: 5 stars (most important of all) Cost: 5 stars Thank you Chris!

I gave a good review previously....however, that was before I have had to deal with him over the…read morelast month. After waiting 3 weeks for a part to arrive, he told us for 2 days he was coming to install the part, after 2 days he did arrive after 7 at night, worked in the dark, fell asleep in the driveway, sent me the bill for installation that was paid that night. 2 weeks later the A/C quit working with an obvious leak. Have called his phone at least 5 times, left numerous text messages, called his wife's phone...who btw, has no Voicemail set up, and sent her text messages as well. So, would I never deal with this company again, I will be reporting him to BBB as well as Choice Home Warranty as well as going after the money he required me to pay for a 1 yr Service agreement he insisted I pay before he would turn any of our claim into Home Warranty because the A/C unit was dirty!! DO NOT DEAL WITH CHRIS JAMISON!!!

Choate's installed a complete HAVAC system for us 9 years ago. I called them on a Friday because…read morethe AC was not cooling. Was given a Saturday appt. from 1-7 PM. The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.
