After having moved back to the area, I called Smith's because of the great experience I'd had previously lived here. No hiccup in the quality of service. Everyone who answered the phone or returned calls was courteous and helpful. We needed a new toilet with bidet seat for a disabled son. Is tomorrow ok for the tech to come out for a quote? Wow! Next day, Cabe arrives, no spiel but an honest assessment, good information, no BS. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had an easy humor. And he listened to us! Next week he installs the toilet and bidet, and on his way out I ask him to look at the faucets in the laundry area. They were pretty bad, and as I had already thought, should probably be replaced. Give me a quote, I say, and when he does I ask when he can do the work. Right now, he replies, pending clearance from the office. Clearance granted, he replaces the faucets with new quarter turn ones. Yes, he had to cut into the wall, and while he wasn't obliged to patch it up, he put it back together fairly well. Not long after that we called about a leaking shower. Again Cabe shows up. Replaces the cartridge, but while the leaking stops, the shower handle spins 360 and doesn't check the water from reaching scalding temperatures. But he doesn't support that brand of faucet. Nevertheless, he needs only a few parts - he actually hunts them down at the local big box store! When he leaves, we have a working shower that won't burn our son. He didn't have to do go to all this effort. But he demonstrated a concern for our son's needs. We were the focus of his attention. Excellent service and a real nice guy. Cabe was outstanding, a real gem. Trustworthy. He's like a good friend. I can't recommend Smith's highly enough. read more

Excellent service. The person that came from Smith's was very professional and friendly.

I returned home from an out of town trip to find that I had water pooling and running in my yard. I contacted my water department and the technician confirmed a leak and that I would need to contact a plumber. A friend recommended Smith's based on their 5 star rating on google and the A+BBB rating. I read the reviews and checked out their website. I called and Amber was extremely nice and helpful in getting me setup for an appointment. She even gave me a number to send the video of the leak I had. My appointment was the next afternoon. The next day Amber had texted to let me know that if it rained the technician would reschedule since it would be difficult to find a leak in the rain but that the technician would let me know. However the rain held off and I received a text that the technician was on his way. The text had a picture along with the name of who was coming. That is something I liked and really felt stood out with customer service. The technician Joe arrived extremely nice guy down to earth very professional. He got right to the job and literally within 15 minutes checked out what was going on. He gave me the estimate-and military discount. I was ready to schedule for the service to see when they could do it. I pulled my calendar out and Joe was like are you going to be here and I said yes and he said ok I'll go get my tools. Lol! I was like this is great I had no idea he had time to take care of it today. It was perfect. Joe got to work and I mean this guy worked! He got the job done and made sure everything worked ok. Found the problem, fixed it better than before with better parts. He made sure that the work he did I was happy with and I'm telling you the service from this company from the first phone call to Amber to meeting Joe was "Top of the Line" excellent service! The quality of work and I felt the price was fair. I hope I do t have another leak but if I need any plumbing done, Smith's will be my first call. They service a lot of areas including North Mississippi and they give military discount. Thank you guys again! I'm one happy and freshly showered customer! read more

Just wanted to refresh this as a BIG CAUTION for anyone considering using SMITH Plumbing for your next large plumbing repair. As I had mentioned prior to this,...I tried to hire these guys at Smith's years ago and it was the absolute worst experience ever. They estimated the repair at above $3500 which also involved digging up the entire side of my yard. After securing another plumber to provide another opinion, I opted switching to him and it resulted in a significant savings of more than HALF of what Smith's had quoted me to make the repair. To make matters even worse, the location of the leak was not even where the guy from Smith's had said WHICH obviously would have resulted in ADDITIONAL COSTS as they searched to find it!! Basically I avoided a financial NIGHTMARE!!! Just be careful with these guys and ALWAYS get a second or third estimate. You may get "lucky" with Smith's or as in my case,....you may not. In a way, I was indeed lucky; lucky I went elsewhere. Here I am in Oct. 2025 and the work conducted has still held up! read more

All I had done was to replace a bathroom sink (that I had already bought) and two valves under the sink replaced since they were old. It costs 532 dollars and that is with the 10% military discount. Overcharge? Absolutely!! I was unable to stop the water flow from the bathroom sink so I went with them one time, but that's it. I had asked them if the house shut off valve was in the laundry room on top of the water heater. The next day I get a call from a different person at the company talking about how a water pressure test was done and how high it was without being told by the plumber or showed any proof that this test was completed or the results. I get sent an email with all these estimates that I didn't ask for except for maybe a toilet issue, but don't have any leaks. My GE water heater is 26 yrs old, my microwave is signature ward 40+ yrs old, washing and drying machine over 25 maybe 30 yrs old, garage freezer is over 25+ yrs old, and all these appliances still work. The point is they sent me an almost 3000 dollar estimate for my water heater which I did not ask for. Their estimate is just a total without break down of charges between labor, parts, and how long the projects will take to complete. They said that their warranty for repairs might become invalid because of "high water pressure in the house." Then please explain how I have all these long lasting appliances that still work. read more

Will Newman was so professional when he arrived at my home to run a camera to look at my sewer system. What I really appreciated the most was the HANDSHAKE when he greeted me! That was unexpected and rare when I have dealt with other companies in the past. Will explained the process and could relate to the issue I was having. The young lady that answers the phone was also very nice and helpful. I was referred by my parents and I am so glad I went with Smith's Plumbing. It is also a plus the company is a supporter of Bartlett Police Dept, so gold stars in my book for service and community support! read more

I want to praise Ryan at Smith's Plumbing and heating. I called Smith's because another company had been out twice to get hot water flowing through my tankless hot water heater by failed to do so. The other company said it was going to cost about $600 to fix the issue and he turned the water off in 2 sinks, my kitchen and my bathroom. My water actually got colder. Smith's is the certified Navien tankless dealer that installed my unit. When I explained that me and my family had no hot water, Ryan drove 55 minutes on his holiday day so we would not have to be without hot water over the holiday weekend . He was able to fix the problem in 5 minutes. It was just an internal switch that had tripped possibly due to a recent power outage. Not only did he get the hot water flowing again, he saved me $600 that the other plumbing company was going to charge me and not fix the problem! I also found out that Smith's priority customer plan membership does not charge for after hours calls. If you need an honest, caring plumber - call Ryan at Smith's Plumbing! He's awesome! read more

Unprofessional. Negligent. First off I was told they were professional and Memphis' best. Within 10 minutes of working they dug into the gas line. No dig permit was filed before they started digging so the city never came and sprayed where the line was. There was a gas leak for over an hour in a neighborhood putting everyone at risk all bc they didn't file the proper permit. It wasn't filed until AFTER they dug into the gas. I was told "it happens" and after going back and forth about their gross negligence they knocked a few hundred dollars off. Put my home, myself and my neighbors all at risk with a gas leak bc they didn't call first before they dug. I scheduled the service Wednesday at noon and they stated digging Thursday morning. City has 48 hours to respond to a dig request. Smith didn't wait for that and just started digging. Then when I brought it up they lied to my face and said it was marked wrong. It was never marked in the first place. read more

Smith plumbing is very expensive, charging $350 to snake and clear a bathroom drain at most other plumbers charge $75 to $100. I sent another plumber for $75 to do the job. Shop around as Smiths is very expensive, if they charge that to clear a drain can you imagine what they would charge for a big job. read more

The entire process was fair and affordable! Wouldn't hesitate to use and refer Smith's Plumbing again!

Talk about customer service !!! Ryan Nelson was on call and went the extra mile. smith plumbing had installed a new water heater about a year ago. i discovered after hours I did it have hot water so I called the answering service. I had decided it was not an "emergency " and I was going to wait till morning to have some one come out. Ryan called me this evening between jobs and asked what was going on to get a head star on the next day. I told him what was going on. he asked it I had the auto shut off. I did he said let's check the batteries on that. 4 double A's later problem fixed. i appreciate his call! read more

well, I 've used these folks 3 or 4 times in last 3 years. They're very friendly until the end and you call cause they damaged something. Will NOT use again. My last experience involved a hole they dug for plumbing. They wouldn't come back and I had to fill it myself....I'm a senior citizen. and they are not cheap either read more

Wade was fantastic! I recently purchased a new home and encountered issues with one of the three toilets left by the previous owners. After a visit from another plumber, Wade stepped in and resolved the problem immediately. I mentioned that I had family coming into town for the holidays and needed a quick fix, and he certainly didn't disappoint! I highly recommend asking for Wade! I'm a firm believer in paying for quality and not repeating work. Worth every penny! read more

Smith's helped with recent bathroom and kitchen remodeling. They prices were the most reasonable and their service was good. I would give them five stars, but they did get mud on my new hardwood floors. Overall though, I will definitely call them first for any plumbing needs. read more

Clown show. AVOID! Overpriced parts, techs calling tech support for the water heater company

One of our toilets was knocked loose from the seal. When flushed it would leak where it meets the floor. Called Monday, was told Thursday morning was as soon as they could come out. No problem as we just used the other one. Later that day they called and said there was a cancellation and could come Wednesday. The plumber arrived near the end of the 4 hour window. He did call first. He was professional. He looked at the " job ". Gave me a quote. I approved it. He got right to work. Took about an hour or so. While the cost was more than I had hoped it would be, the job was done when they said. Nothing more s inexpensive anymore. Yes, I recommend this business. read more

These guys were good. Responsive, showed up on time, and completed the work even better than I expected. I had them install a water line to our backup refrigerator. The tech installed two valves, one at the source and a second one near the refrigerator. He ran the line neatly through cabinetry and secured it well. The price was $800 which is maybe a little high but lower than what he initially quoted. I'm glad the work is finished and am please with the results. read more

Brock did an awesome job coming over to repair our water heater. He was very nice, explained everything well, no mess. He called before he came and the service was great and it did not take long to figure out what the issue was from the time it took to complete the job. We will def request him and Smiths Plumbing if we need anything serviced in our home. Turn around time from when we contacted them was next day arrival. read more

Service was quick and efficient but boy are they OVERPRICED! Had some work done on a SIMPLE broken faucet. After completing and paying for the service I had two other companies come out (they were already pre-scheduled) and both informed me that the price I paid was well over the estimate they provided. I cannot STAND a company that price gouges for simple services. Shame on them. read more

This is the 3rd time we have had Smith's out to repair something (don't worry it has been three separate issues). Every time we have been very pleased with the work and how friendly and knowledgeable the techs are. I asked for Ethan again because of how great he was on the previous job. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with. He explains every option available. The work is done well and always completed in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend Smith's plumbing and specifically Ethan as your tech. read more

Very disappointing experience. We were told that these folks were the best but they did not diagnose a major water leak. Once someone else did that was not even a plumber, they returned to give an obscene price to locate the leak. read more

Steven provided excellent service today! Not only did he replace the washer box and valves in our laundry room, he also repaired our sink faucet and three outside water spigots. He was fast, professional, and just plain excellent. Smith Plumbing provided, not only overall quality and friendly service, from the dispatcher to the technician, but they were EXTREMELY affordable! I was expecting the repairs we needed to be very costly, but was completely knocked over when we were presented such a low quote. If you want great quality, excellent service, and affordable prices, we highly recommend Smith Plumbing! You won't be disappointed!! read more

Had to wait to get scheduled for our repairs, but it was worth the wait. Great communication from them keeping us in the loop on when we could expect them to do the work. The actual plumbing service was great and the owner is a professional. I am a happy customer.

Our sewage backed up due to tree roots in cast iron pipes. We live in a very old home. One of my toilets looked like it had exploded and poo everywhere! I called Smith plumbing and they came out the same day. Kyle, my technician called and came earlier than expected. He also text on his way. He did a thorough search for clean outs which another plumber from another company did not. Once he found the clean out he could see we needed to replace our old cast iron pipes to PVC. Kyle was very professional and made sure to take his shoes off before entering. He was very professional, gave me a quote and started the process once we paid invoice. They were fast and efficient!! I recommend Kyle to everyone!! read more

Very expensive and install team was very inexperienced (one was only on his second day as an install tech). Although I reminded them, install crew neglected to put up a plastic barrier when running a jack hammer to demo concrete slab and didn't turn off the hot water when taking out the jacuzzi tub. The tub spout/diverter were not caulked or sealed so water got into the wall. read more

Smith's was my third or forth option because my other choices didn't have openings for the weekend. The technician was friendly and explained the process and what could be causing the backup, which was okay. He did clear the clog and got the water flowing freely again. What I didn't like is that there was no itemized bill, just an amount that was stated and also written out on the paperwork. I'm used to companies listing things out with each cost and including the cost with taxes, etc. Also, the service call as stated over the telephone was $30 higher than the service call on the updated company site. So which charge did I pay? I have no idea since the bill wasn't itemized and the services/charges were not line items. The overall charge for the service that was done seemed very expensive when researched. Most companies even subtract the service call fee from the overall cost but I have no idea if they did (line items?). Even worse, once the clog was cleared, my sink disposal unit had a very bad leak that wasn't there before the service call. There is no way to prove that it was caused by the service but it would have been in good faith if the company had at least offered to install a new one at a nice discount or install one that the customer purchased. The only option given was to have them install a new unit at almost $500. I ended up buying a better model at the hardware store and installing it myself for $150. If businesses haven't learned by now that customer service is key to staying around then they probably don't deserve to be in business. Business owners need to review their policies and make sure that employees understand this as well. read more

I had a great experience with this company. My elderly mom's house had a broken connection at her meter and water was pouring into the street. A technician came out on a Sunday morning and communicated clearly with me about the problem and how much it would cost to fix. He was very professional and put my mind at ease. There was an additional charge since it was the weekend but that was communicated on the front end. After the work was completed, the area was cleaned up and looked good as new. I highly recommend this company and will use them for any future plumbing needs at both mine and my mom's houses. read more

I'd never heard of Smith's Plumbing but when I saw they got a 5 star rating I decided to give them a call. From the office staff who made the appointment to the plumbers they dispatched to my house, all were professional, courteous, very understanding and helpful. My water had turned brown (UGG) and all I envisioned was my floors being jack hammered to find the pipe that in my mind, had to be leaking. I also had a toilet and an outdoor spigot that thought were leaking. When WIll and Brandon arrived they methodically inspected each problem and found all of the underlying causes, (none of which required tearing up my floors) and repaired them quickly, neatly and with obvious advanced expertise and caring. Based upon their findings, they could have really taken advantage of me and told me that I needed much more expensive repairs as I never would have been the wiser, but they were completely honest and saved me a lot of money. Without hesitation, I can honestly say in my 60+ years of living, I've never had such a positive reaction to plumbers or their company. I'm sure all of their technicians are fabulous, however, Will and Brandon are my plumbers for life!!!! I highly recommend Smith's Plumbing and if you are anything like me, you won't like the plumbing problem you have, but you won't worry as much about it knowing you have a fairly priced, honest plumber coming to take care of your problem. read more
