We had cupcakes as well as a small cake-nothing was served-it was to be to be self-serve.There were no plates to be seen. We later learned the plates were under the table. Working with Serves You Right Catering was one of the best wedding decisions I made. My event was at the Brazilian Room. What I loved about Serves You Right: 1. Marcie was so on the ball. She responded to emails very quickly and never made me feel dumb for asking a million questions. She was honest and helpful. 2. She served as a quasi-event planner and helped us create a timeline for the day. 3. The food was just delicious. I got a TON of compliments from guests (both vegetarians and not) that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. These compliments were definitely accurate because my friends and family are great cooks and eaters. My favorite dish was the pesto gnocchi. 4. Their staff was friendly and professional. 5. Friends of mine at the event who have worked in catering said they felt everything ran smoothly and there was no negative feedback. 6. Marcie made sure that my husband (Matt B.) and I got some appetizers because we were taking pics during the cocktail hour. 7. I am so happy I went with Serves You Right for my wedding at Piedmont Community hall in Sept 2014. Marcie did an excellent job from the initial emails all the way up until the actual event. I live in NY which was already a challenge when planning a wedding in CA. My family attended the tasting and gave me a thumbs up on the taste of food so from there I figured, great I found my caterer. Now overtime I realized many things could go wrong during wedding planning. However, Serves You Right was my favorite vendor out of everyone I worked with. NO ISSUES and TOP SERVICE! Customer Service and Menu tasting reviews. My fiance and I chose Serves You Right as one of few caterers for our wedding. One of the things I was impressed with is the quick, prompt, and efficient email responses from Marcie. It was evident throughout the process of choosing a caterer how Marcie kept in touch with us. We went for menu tasting soon after our first email contact. On the day of menu tasting at Tilden Park, our names and menu selection were printed on a card where selection was beautifully and decoratively assembled just like the way it would be at the wedding. As for the menu itself, it's the same as what others had mentioned and I liked them all especially the shrimp. Throughout the Tasting process, I had good conversation with Matt, the chef and co-owner, about their style of food, the delivery timing, and recommendations. I may have spent an hr. there talking to both Marcie, Matt, and going over their menu. Overall, I had good experience with Serves You Right. Serves You Right was wonderful at our wedding in March at the Oakland Zoo. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests loved it! We had a green wedding, and it was great to have a local vendor using local and organic ingredients whenever possible on our tight budget. Marcie also stepped in as our emergency wedding coordinator the night before the wedding when our other coordinator had family issues. She organized everyone beautifully and the day was perfect. And all of this was done without me even really having to have hardly any input. Serves You Right catered our wedding at the Brazil Room in November and we couldn't have been happier. From our very first inquiry to SYR regarding pricing and menus, Marcie and staff were extremely fast and thorough in their responses. I worked with Marcie for about 9 months and could always count on her responding in a timely manner (she even answered a few of my questions while she was on vacation). Marcie was extremely knowledgeable about our venue and was able to provide me with the insight I needed to plan a smooth event. The day of our wedding was wonderful! The venue looked amazing (Marcie and staff set up the linens, place settings, etc.) and the staff was friendly and efficient. All of our guests had drinks and appetizers the second the ceremony ended, which was important to us so we could sneak away to snap a few final pictures. Marcie called my groom and I to the buffet first (which was great because it gave us time to actually eat) and ensured we always had drinks at our sweetheart table. The food was absolutely wonderful (better than I expected, honestly) and we had numerous guests tell us during (and are continuing to tell us after) how amazing the food is/was. I've attended many weddings, but have never come away from one thinking that the food was amazing until I attended one served by Serves You Right. The food was absolutely amazing. When my wife and I began to plan our wedding, we discovered that most venues in the Bay Area have a pre-existing affiliation with just one or two catering companies. So, if you hold an event at their venue, you must use the caterer of their choosing. How pleasant then, that when we booked a venue (the Piedmont Community Hall in Piedmont which is near Oakland) that allowed us to use any caterer of our choosing, we were able to choose to work with Serves You Right Catering. Our experience with SYR was so positive that we heartily recommend the company for any catering needs. The positive aspects of our experience came from three leading characteristics of the company: Quality, professionalism, and value. The quality of both food and service were great. A month after our event, we are still getting compliments on the FOOD at our wedding. Honestly, I can't think of another wedding I've been to where I even remembered the food the next day, but we have been pleased that guests have even gone so far as to ask for entree and appetizer recipes from our event! The quality of service (half of what you are paying for with a caterer) was also excellent. Marcie was our point-person in the months leading up to the wedding. She was never out of touch, and was always quick to respond to messages via phone or email. The day of the event we had plenty of courteous and professionally dressed staff, and a captain (Corra) who ran the show and made sure everything was going according to plan. One of our guests is a family friend who has worked in the hospitality industry for 30+ years--even he told me over the course of the evening how impressed he was with the level of service. All the food was cooked perfectly, served promptly, and cleared efficiently. Our particular event also required a time-sensitive room turn because it was raining on our special day :(, and this was executed according to plan. In the process of working with Marcie and her company it was obvious that they strive for perfection in their events. To this end, each phase from planning to event execution to cleanup was the definition of professional. In the early going Marcie showed us different possibilities with room layout and guest seating. They include glasses, tablecloths, plates, napkins everything you need in the price per guests so this part was really easy. And all throughout, Marcie always gave me the latest updated price so I always knew the cost of our event even after small changes in staff or equipment (our "final" guest count changed 3 times in the final week, changing the number of tables needed--Marcie never batted an eye). It was great to be able to sign off on our whole bill without any surprises the day before the wedding. Finally, I would judge our Serves You Right Catering experience as an incredible value. For what we paid, we received so much more than we had been offered by other caterers in the Bay Area with whom we had previously spoken. Marcie & also Chef Matt whom we spoke with never tried to up-sell us on things we didn't need, but rather made sure what we were getting was exactly what we wanted. What's more, and a further point of distinction for SYR, were the artistic and creative ways to present food that only added to the unique experience for guests at our event. Right after the ceremony was over they passed drinks on bar trays so everyone got a drink. I did not know they would do this and it was a nice surprise! As well as to ease the burden on the bar. Since we were serving cupcakes in lieu of a wedding cake, Marcie came up with a way to employ these as to look like a wedding cake. But in an affordable way without the cupcake tree idea you see too often now. Even as the Chef of the company, Matt was there "in the trenches" cooking at our event and often checking in with us a couple times over the course of the evening and helping with whatever needed done at that moment. Incredible. Based on our experience I recommend Serves You Right Catering with the utmost conviction. For any of our future catering needs I plan on using them, and for our month-ago wedding I know my wife and I will be forever grateful for the wonderful experience and the tremendous value we received on our wedding day. read more

When Serves You Right catered my friends wedding years ago I knew I had to have them cater our Christmas party at work. They are always so booked it took 2 years for me to get them! I was smart and called them in March last year! I think one of the best things they have going for them is that they have an event coordinator in house and included in the price. Marcy did such a good job at our friends wedding and handling a party for 600 at a warehouse in SF was just no big deal. Of course we were on a budget this year and she had great ideas to cut cost but make it an event to remember. I am going to call them next week to book our party for next year! read more

I hate to diss the food at a friend's wedding, and I would never say this to them, but the food made by this company was over all not very good and not very thoughtfully made (as in sloppy in the details). There was a vegetarian rice noodle stir fry. No flavor, hardly any veggies in it, some carrots, bell peppers, onions, and zucchini. But what was really unappetizing for me was that the carrots were obviously sliced a long time ago, they were all dried and cracked. Yuck. And then there stir fried ginger garlic string beans. The beans were tough, the ends were left on, and the ginger bits that I found in sauce still had the tough skin on. A more refined way to prepare something like this would be to take the ends off of the string beans and skin the ginger. And then the spinach/mandarin orange/onion salad was too sour. The flavors weren't balanced at all. The salmon was ok, but then again, it's really hard to mess up salmon. The service was good though, very friendly and helpful. We used Serves You Right Catering and Events planning for our wedding last year and they were wonderful and I don't think I can write enough in this review to say how happy my whole family was with the whole experience was with them! From the tasting till even after the event (my Dad lost his phone...). They are one of several catering companies that the East Bay Regional Parks District that you can choose from to use at the Brazil Building in Tilden Park. Even though we did not have our wedding at the Brazil Building the Park service has open houses every Tuesday were anyone can come and try the food of all of the catering companies. Many of the companies where ones we wanted to check out so this was fantastic as you really got to see the caterers and the staff first hand. I was not impressed with the staff of most of the companies. If this is how they dress at open house and wedding fair how will they come dressed to my wedding my fiancé pointed out. Also some of the food the caterers served was cold and just unappetizing. I know I am very picky when it comes to these kind of things but we are spending so much money on our reception I really did my shopping to make sure it was going to be perfect. It was easy to see they were the company for us right away. The four main things that we were looking for and stood out with Serves You Right Catering were: Really Great food, Very Affordable Prices, Extremely Organized and a Happy Well Dressed Professional Crew! The food at the wedding was really tasty and everyone loved it. We wanted something different and since we were going to Venice for our honeymoon their event coordinator Marcy suggested we go with a Mediterranean style menu to make it fun. We did and also placed out the theme in our table numbers. Each table had the name of an Italian city. The meal started out with a 2 classic Italian hand passed hors d'oeuvres, prawn bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms with Italian sausage. The both were bite size like I asked for and they were simple but very good. About 1/2 and hour after the cocktail started the servers came around and invited everyone inside where they had an antipasti buffet set up. Some of the best dishes on it were a lemon fennel salad, cannellini beans with an olive oil and rosemary dressing, marinated olive, roasted asparagus with prosciutto, red potatoes with sundried tomatoes and seasonal field greens salad with pine nuts, pecorino & currants. After everyone sat down and finished the plate of antipasti we moved on to the main buffet. Some of the items on it were vegetable paella with peas, tomatoes, carrots, peppers & garlic (BTW vegetarian options were quite good. They actually used a recipe that I wanted because we have a quite a few friends and family members who are vegan or lactose intolerant and they were great about helping to take care of them. We loved everything we chose that was vegetarian and made for these guests) roasted salmon in a sauce of capers, olive oil & lemon were just some of the things on our buffet. Also everything was beautifully garnished with sliced lemons and red chili pepper roses. The dishes that we to be cold were cold and the dishes that were supposed to be hot were piping hot! They do not use chafing dishes so the buffet was pretty and did not have that ugly trashy look you get with chafing dishes. For decorations we went with the affordable candles Servers You Right makes with floating candles. We had one on each guest table at only 29.00 per table I think. Everyone said they were very original and the candles flickering made the whole room sparkle. I am so glad we used candles. On the 2 buffet tables were to big arrangements with the same type of candles. I love succulents so those had lots of them on the trays just like I asked. At the end of the night Marcy made me a little basket of the succulents from them. I now sits on top of my desk and reminds me of our beautiful wedding every day. Thank you Marcy for that! For the tables we also rented with the help of the catering beautiful linens from a place in San Francisco call La Trovola. We had a yellow tablecloth with a bird print on it and also some grey flower ones. The grey ones picked up the colors of the succulents I am so fond of. The bartenders were very nice. I really liked how when everything was running late they came around and served lemon water on trays to all of the guests. Something we did not ask for. They made the whole event classy, elegant and really tasty. The wait staff was fantastic, perfectly friendly and everything went great! We used SYR for our June 2012 wedding at the Brazil Room, SYR was the right choice for us because we liked that they were a local husband and wife business, used mostly local ingredients and organic where they can, and do events at the Brazil Room (where we got married) all the time. The food was great and I would say the price value equation was right on. One thing I would caution, is that there are not many frills with SYR. For example, they would not do a private tasting for us but instead we could go up to the open houses at the Brazil Room and taste, but not everything was always up for sample. Phenomenal job by Serves You Right on my wedding day last month (Brazilian Room) and throughout the entire process. It wasn't difficult to choose SYR because they had an awesome menu and were very well priced. Marcie was great throughout and we had a very solid email correspondence. Day of, they were so great, so accommodating. One of the servers tracked me down to get me some wine because I hadn't had any yet (after the ceremony). Although we had a timeline established before the day, they were very flexible if something came up. We moved the pie cutting 2 hours up because people were desperate to get some and they just swooped in and got everyone a piece within 10 minutes. They were awesome throughout, very wonderful and I'm so happy we chose them. Also, all our guests raved about how good the food was, although I was too nervous to eat much. Serves You Right catered our wedding this April at the Brazil Room. The entire experience with them was excellent. I fell in love with Matt's Creamy Pesto Gnocchi at the tasting and I was sold. Marcie was quick to respond to my e mails and was extremely easy to work with, not to mention very sweet. Her knowledge of the Brazil Room's policies made the planning process much easier. Marcie's great attention to detail made everything run so smoothly on the wedding day. When we arrived at the wedding site Marcie had transformed the room and it was beautiful. We used their "green centerpieces" and the guests all thought they were beautiful. Not to mention environmentally responsible. Marcie even went so far as to make us a "doggie bag" for later since we both knew we wouldn't eat much on the wedding day. The food...the food was DELICIOUS. We had chicken and tri tip (and of course the gnocchi). The chicken was moist and juicy --not like most "wedding chicken". And the gnocchi did not disappoint. All of our guests made sure to tell us how much they enjoyed the food. There were several people that we saw go up for seconds and even thirds :-) There was plenty of food to go around, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The serving staff was extremely hepful and polite. Most of all, they made sure that my glass was always full :-) Many guests told us that our wedding was one of the best that they had ever been to, and I know that a large part of that is due to Serves you Right. We chose Serves You Right to cater our Lake Temescal Regional Park wedding because they were one of the only caterers from the EBRPD accepted list to offer brunch options, and they were affordable, willing to work with a small wedding, and didn't send us heteronormative inquiry forms. On the plus side, the food was tasty and staff were mostly not intrusive on the wedding day. On the negative side, communication with Marcie was rather difficult. She sent us emails throughout the planning process that were obviously form emails, even when it would have taken her very little time to make them slightly more personal. Because of this, it was extremely difficult to tell if she had actually remembered or recorded anything we'd told her previously, or if we really did need to re-iterate all of the basic facts about our wedding with each email. For example, although our wedding took place around lunchtime, all forms referred to "dinner" throughout the nine or ten months we were working with her, or mentioned dancing no matter how many times we said there would be no dancing. As another example, she sent us their pre-event questionnaire a second time after we had already filled it out, presumably because we reached whatever date before the wedding she typically emails those around, and she didn't bother to check if we had returned it already. We also found it unprofessional that although we clarified what time clearing up would start, their staff began clearing up ten minutes early, only twenty minutes after cake cutting had happened, when people were still finishing cake. If this had been too close, Marcie should have provided that feedback to us during the planning process, and sending someone out with a bucket for forks earlier than we had agreed looked sloppy and was unprofessional. read more

Numerous guests raved about the menu, which included salmon, tri tip, salad, fruit, yummy hors d'oeuvres, and funfetti cupcakes. 3) They are incredibly accommodating. Bay Area vendor pricing can be scarily high, but SYR charged a very fair price. In addition, Marcie was clear about all pricing up front, so we weren't surprised or nickel-and-dimed later on. 5) They are a quality company that has been around for decades with a very loyal staff. SYR typically only caters one event per day, so you won't feel like they are rushing to get out of there. Pros -Marcie was quick to respond and give feedback through out the planning process -Staff was timely in setting up and cleaning up -full deposit was given back from Lake Temescal - big thanks to SYR! -Guests raved about the food... wish I had time to eat it! -Marcie provided a timeline for the event, which was so helpful for the planning process -Loved Cora! Concerns -While the staff was there early, Marcie was not there until after the ceremony. She serves as the event coordinator, not a wedding day of, which is important for couples to understand. However, it would have been helpful if she had been there as our ceremony got off to a late start due to a late guest and we were scrambling trying to figure out what to do in terms of the cocktail hour and would have loved her input. Everything worked out ok :) -My wedding party told me that some of the tablecloths were dirty. I didn't notice, but others may care about this. -My maid of honor and best man had some not-so-great encounters with the staff that really put a damper on their night... they understood the reactions from staff, but their response to me was "well they could have been polite in answering my questions". -Hors d'oeuvres are tiny - bite size! If you are looking for someone to serve your WEDDING, or another meaningful event, I suggest you LOOK ELSEWHERE THAN SERVES YOU RIGHT CATERING. When you are choosing a caterer for such a special event, of course you want someone who is culinary professional, but more importantly you want someone who comes from the heart. MARCIE, who runs Serves You Right definitely DOES NOT COME FROM THE HEART. She is all business and hard nosed at that. My fiance and I contracted with Marcie sometime in Sept, 2012 for a wedding scheduled in April, 2013. In the interim, tragedy befell our family with the death of my fiance's mother, and circumstances became such that we simply could not afford to have the wedding in the way we originally planned. Consequently in early Nov, 2012 we contacted Marci to ask for a refund of our $500 deposit. After all, the wedding was several months off in the future, and all Marcie and her bookkeeper had done was collect our money, and have us sign their standard agreement. I explained to Marcie in some detail the reason we needed to cancel, and was shocked by her complete refusal to consider even refunding a part of our deposit. Even more offensive, Marcie expressed absolutely no feelings of compassion for what my fiance was going through. In fact, she made a rather insulting comment, "Everyone has some excuse when they want to cancel" basically insinuating I was telling her a story of some kind. Is this the sort of person you want catering an important and meaningful event for you? So, here is our advice. The Brazil Room has lots of good caterers. Do yourself a favor, and CHOOSE ANOTHER CATERER WHO SHOWS YOU THEY COME FROM THE HEART. That dear folks, is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than the food itself. We just had our wedding catered at the Brazilian Room by Serves You Right. Marcie was a real pleasure to work with and the food was delicious and very well received by our friends and family. If you're having your wedding at the Brazilian Room, the benefit of working with Serves You Right is they have so much experience with the venue that they are able to answer any questions you may have and provide any additional help you may need, for example, recommending other vendors - we found our DJ through them - and knowing how many tables, chairs, and other necessities are available at the venue. They are busy and desired because they're a great company with great food, and even still, at the height of wedding season, Marcie was able to get back to me via email or phone on the same day. She works hard and it obviously pays off since she's a premiere caterer for weddings. I highly recommend them! read more

The food was great, they were really on top of everything, and the prices were really low considering 1. it's the Bay Area and 2. the food is local, mostly organic, and all of our dairy was organic. We worked with Serves You Right and Marcie for our Brazil Room wedding, and we couldn't be happier with their services. Marcie was such a big help in setting up the day--we didn't need to hire a wedding planner, because Marcie gave us itemized lists and timelines to help us figure out exactly what we needed. She was so easy to work with and always answered our questions promptly. The guests raved about the food, and Marcie and her team ran a wonderful show on the wedding day. Serves you right catering catered for our wedding at the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, and they did an amazing job. The food was delicious, everything was set up on time, and the staff was extremely nice. I can't tell you how many of my guests came up to me to tell me how nice the catering staff was. They also presented everything so beautifully. I was really really impressed, especially since many of my friends that have gotten married recently have had issues with their caterers (setting up late, serving dinner 1.5 hours late). My husband and I got married at the Brazilian Room in April of this year. We did not have an event planner to organize our wedding, but relied on our family and friends to pitch in and make our wedding special and keep it affordable. We fully believe that our choice to use Serves You Right catering made this homegrown wedding as amazing as it was. Marcie of Serves You Right was highly accessible, walked us through the process, and patiently answered questions that we perhaps asked multiple times as nervous planners. I could not have asked for a better guide through the planning and organizing. Thank you, Marcie! Now, the food!! We had several vegans and a guest with a severe food allergy. No problem! For weeks afterwards, our guests kept telling us about how delicious they found the food. I hoped the food would be fine (like most weddings), but we truly felt it was fantastic. I am so happy that, as bride and groom, we did find time to sit and eat it ourselves. We have some food snobs (that we love dearly) who attended and they were very happy. SYR catered our wedding at Brazilian Room a couple of weeks ago. We picked them because they cook from scratch, not #10 cans. Chef Matt's food is so delicious, cooked fresh. Marcie made the process so easy. We went to Brazilian Room to taste and talk with Marcie. She is organized, very experienced. She had all the paperwork we needed with timeline, etc. She didn't miss a beat! Their staff are also very experienced and friendly. They did a full service catering for us, which is what I fully recommend for a wedding. They set up tables and chairs, dishes, dinnerware, etc. And they clean up afterwards. For everything that they do, their prices are very, very reasonable (ps: our per person cost included all the white linens and napkins, plates, glasses, etc). We highly recommend Marcie, Chef Matt and their crew. read more

First and foremost, when my wife initially met Marcie she offered a free late night snack: grilled cheese. Unfortunately, my wife is lactose intolerant thus they decided on a slider. When we received the final bill she attempted to charge us for this. I had to reach out to you to get the invoice corrected. More on this later... 2nd. regarding guest counts, she advised it was best to overestimate count guests; Counting those who had yet to respond as people who would be attending. We did this. She said to include the other vendors, we did this. We even added an extra 5 guests just in case. In all I paid for 97 people. There is nothing worse than running out of food at a party, and the Brazilian Room is not exactly situated to make a quick store run. Marcie assured me there would be enough food. I was also told any leftovers are typically donated. I asked if I could keep the leftovers instead. I was told this was possible as long as we brought the to-go containers. To that end, my mother in law went and bought large containers for the aforementioned food. On the day of the event, mother in law, wife and several others went to the Brazilian early to setup. My mother in law left the to-go containers she had purchased in the entry way hallway, by the coat hanger on a shelf. Towards the end of the event, when it became apparent there was no food left, my mother in law went to retrieve her containers. Someone had moved them. My mother in law decided to look around and found them under one of the tables, thinking nothing of it, she went and grabbed it. Suddenly, a Serves you right staffer approached her and said, "Hey, that's mine." My mother in law, completely appalled, replied, "Really!! I have the receipt in the car!! Do you have a receipt for this?" The staffer turned and walked off. 3rd. we were supposed to have three different appetizers and a late night snack. Instead, we were served two appetizers initially then the third appetizer as the late night snack. It seems Marcie had no intention giving us a late night snack. 4th We ordered extra food, enough for 97 people. About 80-85 people attended and we ran out of food. We were told there was no food left yet one of my guests saw large platters in the kitchen. Presumably for the Serve's you right staff. Frankly, if my guests wanted more food, they should have been offered that food. We were paying customers... I paid Marcie a small fortune to provide what I thought would be amazing service. We received much less. I am extremely disappointed with the services provided. In my opinion I got 25% less food then paid for consequently I feel I deserve a 25% refund. I Highly suggest you not use this catering service. Marcie becomes less engaged as she gets more of your money. read more

I am being generous with a one star rating. Marcie was kind enough when we met her and even gave us a week extension on our deposit for her catering our wedding. However after only 2 months, we had to cancel our reservation as the expense was just too heavy for us, plus there were personal extenuating circumstances involved in our decision.After several attempts to contact her "business partner" about a refund on a $500 deposit, she refused any consideration of any refund amount. Again, she had our money for only 2 months, and it's not that she had a run on people requesting a Thursday catering date several months down the road. There are several "preferred" caterers for the Brazil Room at Tilden Park, I certainly would choose another caterer. read more

We contracted with SYR for our daughter's wedding this spring. Pre-wedding communication with SYR staff was straightforward through both e-mail and by phone. On the wedding day they showed up promptly on time at Heather Farms; they also had food ready at the agreed-upon times post-ceremony (late-afternoon) and for dinner (early evening). However, their staff that evening started clearing the tables at least 75 minutes before the agreed upon ending. We had to ask them to stop this clearing as our guests were still dancing and actively enjoying the setting; in one case we actually had to tell them to stop taking tablecloths off tables at which participants were still sitting! The dinner service was surprisingly poor. Several of the servers admitted never having worked as caterers before (contradicting what is written on SYR's Website) and they were unable to keep the food trays well stocked at the buffet. Our worst shock concerns the cake service. SYR had offered to make a simple family recipe torte at a cost of $6.40 per person. We therefore made the cakes ourselves and SYR agreed to serve them with a sprinkling of powdered sugar on the top. At the wedding SWR begin opening the aluminum-foil covered cakes --- littering the buffet table with aluminum foil. The agreed-upon powdered sugar topping was not put on until we ourselves started adding it. Moreover SYR only served half the cakes we brought. We are remain unsure as to whether all our guests actually got a piece of cake - there were certainly no seconds available. Despite SYR's reasonably good pre-event-planning procedures and decent quality food, we believe that their service provided at the actual dinner was overall quite poor and thus would not recommend these caterers to anyone else in the future. read more

The most important thing at my recent wedding was food. I come from a family of foodies and knew that having the right cater would make or break our wedding experience. Serves You Right Catering in Berkeley did a wonderful, inspired, joyous spread of food for our wedding recently. Everyone at our reception raved about the food and the spread. Marcie and her staff were constantly patient and gracious even in the face of two people who became increasingly psychotic as the wedding approached. And we cannot thank them enough for that. Unluckily there is no way to practice getting married before it happens. We knew from the start that they were the caterer for us when we tasted their food and also from the great reply's we got from all of our guests. My wife and I recently got married at the Brazilian Room, and booked Marcie and SYRC for our ceremony and reception. We were planning the wedding from two different states outside of California, and were worried that we would struggle to find someone able to help us out. We were SO SO grateful to find Marcie and Matt from the team. From day 1, they were attentive and had great communication with us. There were never any surprises, and the organization and attention to detail was much appreciated from two type A personalities planning from afar. The day of the wedding was smooth and relaxed, and the food was DELICIOUS - we had a specific idea for menu in mind and Marcie and Matt were able to accommodate and engineer the food perfectly :). I highly recommend them to ANYONE who is going to be booking the Brazilian Room, and also for anyone who might need a caterer in the area! They are amazing! Thanks so much, Marcie!!! read more
