Went back to Serventis recently. We wanted a chance to sit on their newer outdoor deck. However, it was not open at that time. It is enjoyable having lunch and watch the planes taking off and landing. Still had lunch inside. Service was excellent but the food we got was OK to good. The mushroom appetizer was a little disappointing. The wedding soup was OK. The pasta dinner we took home was good. Nice view all around though.

Enjoyed the drinks we had at the bar, but were thrown off by the "welcome" when we entered. Wanted to just have a drink on the patio but we were told by the chef that we could go out there after ordering a drink at the bar but not to sit on the couches or at the tables. We could stand at the rail. Everyone seemed lovely except the chef. We had drinks - at the bar- I had 2 Italian Mules and my husband had coke. The drinks were very good. Would have loved to go on the deck but didn't feel that was welcomed. I did watch the chef go out and smoke there, but we were at the bar for over an hour and there was one couple that ate there. The sacred couches were never used. I'm sure we will go back but DID NOT appreciate how we were treated this time. Note the pictures of the totally empty couches, patio and the NO SMOKING signs.

Fun watching the planes taking off, but they were not loud.

Good selection of food with 2 menus - the standard menu and weekly specials. I was impressed with the variety. The Salmon with Habanera Pineapple Chutni was excellent. Nice spice without being too strong. The staff was friendly and efficient. Booth benches were a little far from the table. We'll sit at a table with chairs next time. Overall great experience. We'll be back.

Lovely location, great food, professional service. We were passing through and this unique option, located at the Butler Regional Airport, seemed like it would be fun. It was! We were seated right at the windows, and could watch planes take off and land throughout our meal. Call me a kid, but flight still fascinates me. Darling husband and I both ordered from the daily specials. My lobster tortellini was wonderful. Served with roasted pepper, onions and asparagus in a vodka sauce, the generous portion hit the spot! My husband's pan seared salmon was served over rice and under a pesto cream sauce. Let's just say his double portion of fish did not go uneaten. We both got our own servings of tiramisu because, well, it's tiramisu! It did not disappoint! Ending our meal over tiramisu and coffee topped off a superior meal. Service was quick and good, and our server was able to answer all our questions about the menu. There is a large bar in one corner, also overlooking the runway, so if that's your thing I suspect it would make a pleasant view for you.

Given the side of what is provided, 1-2 dollars max is reasonable, but 4.00 for a side no bigger than a small ramekin is absurd. Especially when an appetizer for fireflies fries is only 5.00. The waitress was so apologetic about it and not her fault at all, but this is more than expected and disturbing. A lesson learned for sure.

Surprisingly, it was not croweded at all. I give a lot of credit to our server who did a great job, with one notable exception. I ordered the salmon entree for $27. When I asked to add asparaus as my side, I was told that would be an additional $7 and I agreed. When my plate arrived, I was shocked. For $34 dollars I didn't expect to receive an item from the Kiddie menu, but that's how it looked. The salmon was good, and the asparagus was ok. After I finished my meal I was still very hungry, as 99% of adults would be. I didn't want to make a scene - afterall this was a family gathering where we traveled from Colorado. Luckily, my husband was across from me and told me there were an excess of roasted potatoes as part of his steak salad. That saved me from starvation. I would still return to the Springfield Grille, but I advised that the staff warn customers when portions are exceedingly small to avoid extreme disappointment and hunger after eating.

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. Honestly, this could be a meal for 2 people if you're not extremely hungry. It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my opinion due to the quality and the amount of food. I would go again. I'm interested in trying their lobster rolls after lent is over!

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

This is not a high-rent location on a gentrified main street, and many folks would drive right by based on appearances. It also wasn't very busy, and that's a shame, because Tewada is absolutely fantastic. We were met by two very down-to-earth ladies enjoying a smoke break out front, and we knew right away that they were going to take good care of us. Our server was a sweetheart and a real character...we love to meet people like her. The place is not big, but it's well-worn and very cozy, and also super festive with all of the cute Easter decorations. We started with an order of fried dumplings, and they were very tasty, presented with care, and were obviously homemade. My wife then ordered a boba tea that she really enjoyed. For entrees we both went with a curry dish. My wife ordered the red curry noodles with shrimp, and she was very happy. She is not big on spicey food and went with the lowest level of spice - she chose 3 on the (kind of odd) 3-10 scale. Although it did have a small kick to it, you should not be scared if you too don't like hot and spicy food. I picked the massaman curry with chicken at 7 on the spice scale. I can't say enough about how much I liked the dish...fantastic! And speaking as someone who does like spicy food, a 7 is about as much as I would recommend for the typical American pallet. It was HOT, but still flavorful and enjoyable. Is this place fancy? No. However, the food was authentic, homemade, and not something you'll find very often. We watched as several locals came in for take-out or just boba for the kids, and it was clear from the long conversations that this place is valued in the community. We left with a smile, talked about it all afternoon, and will definitely be back. A solid 5!
