2022 Honda Civic Sport Touring

Great Customer Service. Sales Consultants are highly knowledgeable RV and Jared are your go to guys! Veterans of the company. Me and my Wife have bought two cars from them and are very happy with both of them! I've done oil change service with them as well and it's quick and easy they check literally everything and give you a spread sheet of how well maintained your vehicle is. Awesome service from the ground up! Keep it up everyone

Arvi and Kevin were great to work with! Buying a car here was simple and hassle free. Very happy with my new car and most importantly my experience leaving the dealership because of these two!

Easiest car buying experience I've ever had. I wanted to get a 2023 BRZ in World Rally Blue. I stopped by the dealer on a whim in mid-March 2023. I test drove another BRZ with Jarrod. Loved it. Asked about the buying process and if this car had any marks ups because some dealers are notoriously marking up its twin the GR86 upwards of $5k on the mainland. Jarrod assured me that Servco--whether that's Toyota or Subaru--doesn't do markups. The other car I was looking at, the 2023 Civic Si also had a $5-6k non negotiable markup by all three Honda dealers on island. For me, the choice was simple. I left Team Honda which I have owned exclusively for 15+ years and moved over to Team Subaru. Since you have to special order this car from Japan in the post-covid/tight supply chains new world order in 2023, I put down a deposit for a WRB BRZ a couple days later. Jarrod showed me my VIN & stock number for my allocation which had already been built. He even showed me that he put me on their internal Servco-wide spreadsheet to ensure no one else would snag that allocation. I left thinking my car would be ready in 2-3 months... In May, I get a text from Jarrod with the stock number saying my car was finished with production and would be shipping from Japan soon. Confused, because the car I put a deposit on had *already been built*, I checked the stock number he sent with the text and the one on my order sheet and they didn't match up. What's the deal? Apparently, another customer got the allocation I thought was going to me because that person had put in their deposit sooner. None of this behind the scenes stuff was communicated to me until I asked about the two different stock numbers. I think they thought I wouldn't notice the difference in stock numbers. I did. To be honest, I was really upset. Delays happen. I get it. Mix ups happen. That's ok too. But I should have been made aware of what exactly was going on. I wasn't informed of any of it. Had I not broached the issue, I doubt if they would have said anything. If all the Honda dealers on island didn't have a markup on their Civic Sis, I would have went a different way. I was that put off. So while the car was making its way here I continued to shop around and almost bought a WRX from the other Subaru dealer on island. But it was sold by the time I could stop in for a test drive. There are only so many manual trans cars these days... Fast forward to June and I get a text from Jarrod saying my BRZ is at the port and will be at the dealer in a few days. I make an appointment at 10am on a Saturday. I did a quick walk around and test drive. The only thing we had to negotiate was my trade. They really lowballed me. I went back with a price that I wouldn't go below (in retrospect I should have said something a bit higher). They accepted the offer. Protip: know what your trade is worth by going to any number of websites first & always ask for more because their finance manager or used car manager (whoever makes that decision) will lowball your trade. There's nothing untoward about this, that's just the game & dealerships for you. Since I already had my financing set there was really nothing else left to do but sign the forms. They didn't even try to push the extended warranties very hard. All in all, a great, easy, quick process at the dealer. Two hours later, I was driving my new BRZ home. Despite the allocation communication hiccup, all other interactions between Jarrod, Servco, & me were great. Very easy dealer to work with and I would 100% recommend anyone looking for a Subaru to give Jarrod and the folks at Servco Kaimuki a chance.

New 2023 Forester Sport in 'Magnetite Gray'

2023 update: GO SEE KIRK! We have been buying cars from him for 10+ years now both new and used. 7 cars and counting. I'm the first reviewer for Servco Subaru Kaimuki on Yelp back in 2013. We just picked up a brand new 2023 Forester Sport. Buying a new car tends to be stressful and exhausting *except* with Kirk. He's the only sales guy we went to see this time around (Toyota is always our go-to) and it was such a relief. We have always liked Subaru but typically go through the grueling process of buying at Toyota out of habit when we buy new. We were debating on the Premium/Sport/Limited trims, we test drove two and decided on the Sport with the upgrade package which included the rear parking sensors, power lift gate, and upgraded stereo. Kirk is super knowledgeable (I'm the car guy in our family so I'd know) and understands everyone is on a budget. Zero pressure, he made sure we got the applicable discounts (they run promos such as a small discount for military or teachers for brand new Subarus) and we got a fair price for our trade in. No hard upsell on the extras but we did opt for tint which is via T&T Tinting. Kirk kept us updated on the status of our car leaving the main Servco storage lot, to when it arrived in Kaimuki, to when it was going for tint and when it would be available for pick up. I asked to pick it up early to accommodate our schedule and he made it happen with no hesitation. We secured financing with Hawaii Law Enforcement FCU (best interest rate by far these days!) and pick up day was a breeze. He was excited for us, explained all the features, and made the final paperwork easy. I'm very particular and thorough and he has the patience of a saint. I trust him implicitly and have referred many people to him because I know they're in good hands. We've bought cars from all the major dealers on the island and our most recent purchase prior to this was a 2023 Tacoma which we almost walked away from, the finance guy at Toyota was unbearable and we were paying cash! Anyway, it was such an easy and stress free experience with Kirk and we are thoroughly enjoying our new Forester. Kirk, thank you as always and I'm sure we'll be seeing you again!

Amin took care of me by asking me questions, testing out my car, and explaining possibilities of what could be causing the issue. The challenge is that it is intermittent and it's difficult to reproduce. He did his best to try and replicate it, but wasn't able to. Although I took some of his time to look at my car, he didn't charge me anything as diagnostics didn't need to be run due to no engine light appearing. I truly appreciate the support he provided, top notch. And they are easy to reach out using Yelp messages (just make sure that it sends properly). Thank you, Amin.

The truck also has a weird odor inside. I'm not sure why. When I asked how much it would be to paint the roof it was first $700 then when I agreed to the 3 panels I told him I'd pay for the top on my own dime the price went up over double $1500 for 1 panel. SMH never again. So for 3 panels one being the truck bed it was $1900 then to paint 1 more panel the roof was an extra $1500 just doesn't add up

Since my last review over five years ago, Uncle James has helped me with an AC leak diagnosis, engine and transmission mount replacements, front and rear brake pads and rotors, a tune-up when my car was bogging, an alternator replacement, radiator replacement (because I cracked it trying to do the alternator myself), and now a transmission filter replacement. Pretty much every major maintenance or repair on my car has been done here, unless it was something I handled myself at home (the only exception being my CV axles that I saw Uncle Alan for at Kaimuki Auto). I'm incredibly thankful for Uncle James and the team for consistently delivering quality work at genuinely fair prices. I recently spent months doing drain-and-fills on my transmission fluid due to slippage driving uphill and hesitation between gears after cold starts. By the third drain, it became obvious the fluid wasn't improving at all. There's a common myth that transmission fluid lasts the "lifetime" of the car, but the reality is, it often doesn't. Just like ignoring oil changes, neglecting transmission fluid can eventually lead to serious (and expensive) repairs. In many cases, transmission work can cost even more than engine repairs. So here I am, trying to address the issue the best way I can. I won't lie, part of me hates that my car is now at the stage where issues pop up once or twice a year. Financially, though, buying a new car just isn't in the cards right now. Uncle James makes it possible for me to keep my car running safely and affordably while I work toward that next step, and I'm sure many others in the community feel the same way. McCully Auto remains my #1 choice for automotive maintenance and repairs. I've never had a bad experience, and I'm deeply grateful for the generosity, honesty, and wisdom Uncle James continues to share. I don't know what I would do without him, honestly.

He's gone out of his was to order parts specially for me when my A/C broke and he's always accommodating when I need stuff like oil changes. He definitely relies on family and friend referrals though so if you're a brand new customer you might not get help as fast as you want. Absolutely amazing experience working with Da Guy Mobile Repairs…read more I had a horrible time trying to get the oil filter off of my Accord; it was stuck worse than I've ever experienced and, it being my first attempt at a change on this specific model, I didn't realize how stupidly enclosed it was on all sides. After deforming it with various tools, my brother attempted to drive a screwdriver through it as a hail mary. All that did was put a hole in it and leave oil everywhere. He got back to my voicemail as soon as he could, asked for my info and pictures to give me an accurate quote and schedule, then set up a time with me the next morning (on a holiday). The quote was more than reasonable. He showed up, got to work with whatever he could use on the battered filter, but the lack of space and the state I left the filter in proved a challenge. He kept me informed as he was working, then after a while, told me he would leave to get another tool that had helped him in the past. Before he left, he went down the list of scenarios and possible labor cost increase, and I really appreciated that. Fortunately, the tool he went to grab worked on the first try. He put everything back where it needed to be and replaced the zip ties he had to cut to gain more working space. The price stayed as quoted even though it probably took longer than he anticipated, and he even threw on the new filter while he still had my car on his stands. Overall, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to call on him again for any future needs. Definitely would recommend him to anyone in need of mobile repair.

I understand business enough to know that if someone is mobile, chances are they are cheaper since they don't have to pay for a brick and mortar shop, so I gave him a chance. Really chill and honest guy. Great communication, fast texter, and reliable. And again, since he's mobile, he only charged me $575 for the replacement. I don't know if that's a good price, but it sure is better than $1100. Also, I forgot to mention that I never actually got to meet him. All I know about him is from our experience over text. Basically, since my FIL WFH I set up the appointment and let my FIL do the meet-up and etc. Da Guy quoted me $575 and my FIL double-checked that's what he charged me. I gave him my CC info after the repair and it was a smooth service and transaction. Highly recommend him for your auto repair needs, especially if you need something relatively soon. We texted him on Saturday and he booked us for Wednesday. Big plus since a lot of us also WFH. I am a loyal customer!
