Good lunch spot. Good meaty sandwich. The meat was a bit salty, but it was well constructed and presented. A bottle of root beer, the sandwich, and a bag of chips set me back a little over $17. It is not cheap to eat out anymore! But I felt like I got a good value for my money. The service was quick and friendly, the ambiance is nice. A minimalist, industrial vibe. They have a great beer selection, wish I didn't have to go back to work!

Food is hot and fresh!! I didn't know what to expect from this place but it's a good sandwich & craft brew type of spot. It's got a really cool serial killer, horror movie them going on... but like, in an inviting way haha. Yes, chase me with a knife, it's cool, but as long as I have one of these Sammie's in my mouth at the same time. Service is quick and very friendly. Try the Pennywise! And their salads! Oh their salads are such a great portion size and delicious! This place is just my cup of tea. Love, and death.

Love Serial Grillers! First time to this location. We visit every trip from IN. We had a burger, calzone, fries, and cheesesteak. Place was clean, food is always fresh and delicious. We appreciate all the hard work.

Chicken Sandwich + Side of Fries and a drink = $26.56!!! I should have second guessed my decision coming here. When I walked in it was dead, I was the only one in the restaurant. Walk up counter to order your food / fast food style. Was prompted for a tip? ... so another 15% on top of my order. You're essentially tipping a delivery fee for someone to walk your food to your table from the kitchen. Staff never checked back in, you fill your own drinks, you bus your own table, etc. it's a fast food setup, but the owners want you to supplement the wages of the staff. Food came out 20min later and it was ok, nothing to write home about. I would say the food is not worth the price. I could have gotten a steak dinner with all the fixings for that amount of $$$. Also not sure why it's allowed but the kitchen was blasting music which was louder than the music in the dining area. Ended up with Kenny Loggins competing with a mariachi band. It was sensory overload. Not an enjoyable environment. Couldn't even hear myself think. Prob. won't be coming back unfortunately. They used to be really good, has gone down hill for sure.

Walked into a very clean restaurant, very open, nicely lit, cool decorations, and a "welcome in folks" greeting from the staff. The food came out very quickly and looked as good as it tasted. We came for lunch and it was difficult to abstain from one of the 25 beers they have on tap. We will be back to have a beer and a pizza! Next time, we might just split a pizza, their small pizza is fairly large and we weren't able to eat all of our food this time around. We will be back soon!

We have family in town for the holidays and decided to meet for lunch near where we were going shopping after lunch. A quick Google search showed a Serial Grillers in the area, so we met there to eat. We all ordered different food and we all left satisfied. I had a Jack of All Trades burger, which was delicious! My daughter had a Red Dragon calzone and my husband Hannibal cheese steak. My son and daughter-in-law got sandwiches too. Everything was tasty and we loved the dining room. We will definitely return.

this place is a hidden gem. you walk up and order your food and then are given a number to bring to your table. we ordered burgers and a side of fries. the food was delicious. everything about this place is clever. all of the items on the menu are themed in the name to different horror movie characters. there is a lot of beers from local breweries. The service was fast and friendly. there was ample seating inside and outside. the only thing we did not like is that the burgers don't come with fries. they come with either chips, coleslaw or carrots. so we had to order a side of fries. if you want something affordable and quick but tasting amazing this is a place to go.

The estimated wait for two was 10 minutes so we grabbed drinks and headed upstairs to their cute/loft lounge. As we passed the entrance we already heard the host increasing wait time to 20 minutes. For drinks she had got the house red cabernet and for me the bartender and I whipped up a little custom cocktail (see pic). Moments later our table was ready. Note: Penelope operates on a novel "community-waiter" system so don't be confused if a totally different person comes by to: take appetizers, check on you, order entrees, check on you again, and order dessert! We've often had four different staff during a meal here and all are super friendly with experience-filled opinions about everything on the menu. We ordered the Burrata and Tomatoes app which arrived in barely 5 minutes - the cheese is traditionally mozzarella-like but here it was almost ricotta-soft... and melded deliciously with the mildly acidic slices of ripe tomato and lots of pistachio pesto (nice twist chef!). We split the Sgt Pepper pizza this time, craving both sausage and roasted chilis. It arrived in 15 minutes with ample sausage and just a few burnt bubbles (totally ok because we know these thin-crusts must be flash broiled at super high temps (around 1k degrees). We demolished the 'za but both of us would like to have seen a bit more green chili. We were looking forward to the olive oil cake however, at 7pm, they had just sold the last slice (confirmed by our "second dessert waiter" who wandered by a few minutes later ;) Atmosphere is casual-elevated and sound levels aren't bad despite the density of tables - likely due to the 20 foot tall ceilings. Parking is free/easy in their private lot and it appears they do a popular takeout business too. We are both looking forward to their return to downtown this fall with Penelope's II !

We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside.

We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.

Food arrived just 15 min later and was piping hot and delicious. The lasagna is a good sized portion (roughly 5x7) and is generously filled with meat. Roughly 2 dozen toppings are available, ranging from $3-$8+. I opted for the meatballs ($8.50) and was slightly disappointed. The meatballs are crumbled within the calzone (understandable) but not pronounced in quantity. I would prefer larger pieces (halves work at this size - after all I ordered meat-ball not meet-ground ;) However, for $8 (a 75% upcharge) my chief gripe is that I was simply expecting more. And two Old Fashionables ($13) - strong, delicious, and not too sweet. We split their one-size pizza (roughly 12" medium) in order to save room for their famous, rotating desserts. Their 'zas are super thin crust and really need to be eaten straight from the oven so that the bottom never has a chance to get soggy. The pesto/parsley puree was divine and a nice change from traditional marinera. It paired nicely with the savory/plentiful mini pepperonis too. We were torn between the olive oil cake and the blue corn lemon tart... so we got both! ($9 each). An excellent call as we carefully paced our way through, one slow bite at a time. I ate my pizza in a fashion I have never done before - I broke off a piece of the outside crust to use as a carrier for a piece of filling. This worked well. The crust is perfectly light and airy. Next time I have to try a loaf of their bread - it looked incredible. If you are a pizza purist you will love this place.
