Reasons this got more than 3 stars: Johan did good work cleaning our hardwood floors and tile. Professional, efficient, easy to talk with. He moved chairs, rugs, tables, etc to get to the floor. The owner, Clay was quick to respond to Yelp messages when we were setting up the job, and explained how they would review before a final quote (measure, inspect, etc) and could start work the same day as their quote visit. Reasons this wasn't a 5 star review: Maybe my expectations for any floor cleaner is too high, but floors were left with some streaking/residue (probably from the pet treatment solution) that shows footprints on the hardwood after I walk through a room. Though Clay was quick on a quote, the initial estimate was way too low. Was told $139 when my initial yelp inquiry mentioned specifically about 1,000 sqft of hardwood and tile with pet stains. The quote after Johan arrived was over $700 - turns out the base $139 is for 2 or 3 rooms of carpet, so there are addons for hardwood, for tile, for pet treatment. I don't begrudge the cost for those items, but since I mentioned them when I contacted Serenity my expectations were upset when the true price arrived. I think the original estimate should have been a minimum of $400 when I mentioned these buzzwords that weren't carpet. Having said that, if I knew it was going to be $400-$800 in price I probably wouldn't have agreed to the visit at this time for ANY floor company. I don't think the price is unfair, it just felt disingenuous to even mention a price near a carpet special given the details I provided in advance. Oh man, my house looks brand new. I've been in my house for 7 years and have never had a deep cleaning like this, needless to say, it was much needed. I have two big male dogs and my boyfriends dog has been coming over more frequently as well. This has caused all three dogs to start marking their territory all over my carpets, wood floors and tiles. I've been using product over product to help with the smell to detract them from doing it, but it's been helpless. I purchased a Groupon for Serenity after seeing that they had a few good reviews. I figured, no one has posted anything bad yet so surely they are ok. I don't know if the Groupon I bought was really a "deal" because I don't know how much they normally charge. I paid $179 for almost 1,000 square feet of carpet. They were timely, professional, knowledgeable, and fast. I think my carpets look great compared to before. Unlike a previous yelper I saw a world of difference. I'll be honest, I've been an unfaithful carpet cleaning customer. I always try new companies. I always stray, but never again. Serenity came to clean our carpets last Friday, after things started looking a little frat-house around here, and I can't get over it. They were so thorough and so professional and their prices are fair. Leo came in and went room to room with a black light, so he could show me all the stains I didn't know even existed. (Scary.) Then, he took the time to treat each of the offending spots, before he and his team cleaned everything. Not only did they do a great job cleaning the carpet, paying extra attention to the high traffic areas, but they took the time to protect our furniture--putting chairs on Styrofoam blocks, tucking bed skirts, so they wouldn't get hit with the steam vac. I couldn't ask for anything more from a carpet cleaning team and am happy to learn that they handle tile, too. As long as I have a messy husband, dog and kid, I'll be a customer for life. read more

First, you should know there is a big difference between using Serenity and those national chains. Serenity's method and equipment were first class. Fast drying and cleaning feeling carpet after the service. They wore protection on their shoes to keep the area clean and paid attention to detail. What impressed me was the responsiveness. The tile work wasn't right the first time. Serenity had a great attitude and very quick to response to my questions and request to correct the issue. Other floor companies turned the job down, but Serenity sent a team of 3 that worked super hard to get the job done. We were/are very grateful for their hard work. Very professional. Appointment booked electronically with confirmation email and a reminder the day before the work was planned. Showed up on time and completed the work on time as estimated. The staff was courteous and provided a couple of options of the chemicals to be used in the cleaning. Update 8/20/17 After seeing my original review, Serenity reached out to me regarding some of the issues I had. While it doesn't change my experience, I have to give them credit for trying to make things right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original Review 7/21/17 Be careful of all the high ratings. Serenity only sends you a link to Yelp if you say you would recommend them and sends you to another page that no one sees if you say you wouldn't. Horrible experience. Serenity does the typical bait and switch maneuver. They tell you one price on the phone, then when they show up, there are all these extra things they need to do to get the carpet or tile really clean, and the first quote they give you is 3x-4x what they said on the phone. Then when you start arguing, they "help" you out by applying all these random coupons. I had to talk them out of 5 extras they were trying to bill me for. The only extra I agreed to was for the acid wash of the grout and I regret paying for that. The grout was treated and cleaned unevenly, so there are dark spots right next to light spots and it looks really blotchy. When I pointed it out, the guy just said the dark spot is still drying and it will lighten up as it dries out, which could take hours. That was a lie. He also commented numerous times on how hard he was working and how he had to get down on his hands and knees, which started to get annoying after about the 5th time. After arguing over the price, I think he was trying to justify the cost to me. I also noticed after he left that they were not careful with the machines and banged up my kitchen cabinets and base boards. I had to spend a couple hours afterwards touching up the paint that they damaged. If I could go back, I would have just cleaned the floors myself. read more

We were looking for some time to have the grout cleaned in our kitchen and breakfast area. Over the years the tan grout had turned black. It is with great pleasure I can tell you we picked Serenity and we are very pleased. Not only the grout but the tiles haven't looked this good in years.
