Also when I came 2 days later at 11am as they said everything would be ready, they didn't have my shirt ready so I was told to come back at 4pm. No apology for making me drive 45 min total back to them.

My dress needed the straps to be shorter and my slit was sewed since it was rather high. I also added sleeves to my dress and she did an amazing job! With the extra fabric, she offered to make two pocked squares as well. My sister and I had a very small window in which we needed alterations for her bridesmaid suit and my dress. They got them BOTH done so fast and the work was incredible. Aside from the work, they have great customer service which seems to be hard to come by these days. Highly recommend this place! "How did this ever happen??!", noticing a buttonhole that needed a small amount of repair. She automatically took the shirts and hung them up on her to-do rack making it somewhat uncomfortable for me to say thanks, but no thanks. It was then I wanted to know how much the bill would be, and she replied $24. I then grabbed the shirts off of her rack and bid her a good day. I have seen this same tactic used at different types of repair shops where the owner overly dramatizes what needs to be done and takes possession of the item prior to discussing the charge or getting approval. In sales that's called the assumptive close, where they act as though they assume you will approve the work and pay their price for the very minimal effort required. Don't fall for it. I have just now received a response from the lady's husband indicating that I must have visited a different shop and mistakenly thought I was in theirs. Absolutely not possible as I've been in several times in the past. Perhaps showing the shirts will refresh her memory and also defend my own. For full disclosure, the green shirt does have a small half-inch rip on the back side.

I found Maria on Saturday evening and was told I'd be able to drop the dress off Sunday and get it back Tuesday evening. I was so grateful. Drove to her, tried the dress on, she pinned it to mark where it needed alteration. 2 days later on Tuesday evening it was ready, just as she had said. I went back, tried it on and it is fantastic. Fits so much better and she did such a great job. You can barely even tell anything was altered by looking at it except for a tiny amount of thread on the inside of the dress which is a tiny bit darker than the original thread. Maria was super friendly, chatty, showed me some of the other things she'd done and was currently working on. She had just started on some sofa cushion covers which looked great. Grateful for her flexible schedule, that she was able to accommodate my alteration on short notice and that she did such a great job. Pricing was also standard compared to the other places I had seen and very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend.

I even mentioned that I expected to pay an extra $20-25 for expedited service. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was quoted $55 just to take in the waist of one pair of jeans--the same price I paid for the jeans themselves. The explanation was that she was setting aside other work, but the jeans were made from inexpensive material and the alteration was relatively straightforward. I've had designer jeans tailored before, including pairs that cost several hundred dollars, and even with rush service I've typically paid around $15-25. What bothered me even more than the price was the customer service. The woman was rude, dismissive, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by simply asking for a service she had already agreed to discuss over the phone. If she didn't want to take on a same-day alteration, I would have completely understood if she had simply said no from the beginning. I was also there with my young daughter, and after we left she asked if we had to "see the evil witch again." While kids can be blunt, it reflected how uncomfortable the interaction felt. I have no issue paying for quality work or paying extra for rush service, but I do expect fair pricing and professional treatment. Based on my experience, I won't be returning and unfortunately can't recommend this business.
