Had them out on badges for Civil Air patrol for my son and dry cleaned my shirt. Good job. One thing to note, I brought a dress pant with a broken zipper, the flap not the whole zipper, really needed to replace the zipper pull. I asked to fix and they quoted me $38. I told them Nicole buy the same pants for $28 from Vanguard. I took it back and bought the replacement on Amazon for $5 (6 pack) and repaired it myself. Also when I came 2 days later at 11am as they said everything would be ready, they didn't have my shirt ready so I was told to come back at 4pm. Highly recommend this place! I was visiting Pendleton for a week. I decided to bring my Blues and White Trousers to get them fitted while I was here. I required a quick turn around and after calling several places Jerry's Tailoring told me they could do it. I stopped by around 5pm on Monday, I was fitted and on my way in about 10-15min. From the beginning they were very welcoming and told me I could pick up Friday. I stopped by Friday around 12 and they were ready. I've been getting my tailoring from Jerry's for years but only for special events so this was my first time at the new location. I love the new shop, the space is clean and mellow with nice dressing rooms. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. I called at 7pm Thursday for a Saturday wedding which is insane but the lovely woman on the phone said it was no problem and to come in. I needed a hem for a lined sequin embroidered gown with a train that had to go (since it was a wedding). They had it finished the next day, altered so the hem was just slightly longer in the back, keeping its original silhouette. It was perfect. They did an amazing job and incredibly quickly! I can't even begin to explain how amazing they are! We were on emergency leave and the ball was one day away from our return. Where were we gonna get tailoring done in one day (AND during ball season)?! Well, Jerry's was the only one that we called that said they can do it by the next day. They were staying late anyway to do a bunch of uniforms (how nice of them!). Now, listen y'all.... not only did they stay late to get a whole bunch of uniforms done quicker- BUT THEY FINISHED OURS THAT SAME NIGHT. Came in at 1700 and got our pieces at 2100. As this is a small business I really wanted to give higher marks but the owner really dropped the ball on my order. I dropped off a suit blazer to get the sleeves hemmed up on Tuesday morning. He quoted $45 only for the sleeves and would get it all done by Thursday. To be honest I felt the price was a bit higher than what other tailors charge for similar service. Only the sleeves needed to be hemmed from the bottom, not from the shoulders. After coming on Thursday morning, I came in and after looking through his backstock, he told me that he accidentally sent my blazer to the cleaners, but that he did the sleeves. I didn't ask for the blazer to be sent to the cleaners (it was brand new from the store), but I didn't argue it since I would be able to pick it up before he closed. So after I came back in, he gave me someone else's blazer and told him I'm not the name shown on the ticket. I thought it was really odd as he kept looking through blazers and offering others to me thinking it was mine. That lowered my confidence significantly! After much rummaging around, he finally found my blazer on his sewing table. And he didn't even do anything to it! He simply forgot! I was pretty mad and asked him for wasting my time if he can still get my blazer done by 8am following day. I told him up front I wasn't paying full price for the inconvenience. The gentleman just gave the blazer back to me and simply gave up. This was a very VERY disappointing experience and I hope that he cleans up his process so that items won't get lost and other customers experience the same thing I did. Sadly the wedding I'm attending is on Saturday and I don't know if I'll be able to find someone to alter my sleeves in time. read more

At one time was a reliable tailor / dry cleaning service, but has recently declined in both reliability and value. Twice in a row had misplaced multiple garments and mismatched ticket numbers due to poor handwriting and organization in the shop. Prices seem to fluctuate without logic or consistency even to the point of having been charged additional cost at pickup after having prepaid already. Dry cleaners are a dime a dozen in Oceanside, don't opt for this one. Do not recommend. read more

I went and noticed they mostly did military. That's ok. I asked do you also do civilian clothes. They said yes. I asked how long was it going to take I can pay extra to have it to me as soon as possible. They said My item would be ready on Thursday. Thursday came along, no courtesy call but that was ok since I was not able to go pick up. I went on Friday, to pick up my item thinking it would be ready. IT WASN'T. Then they told me it would be ready in an hour. Came back 4 hours later. It was not ready. Had to wait 10-15 minutes. They were unable to identify my item with their own receipt that they gave me. One of the ladies was unapologetic and did not care about what was going on. Do not lie to your customers or make commitments you cannot keep. read more

When I wanted to call and ask Lucy a question regarding my order she did in the past (not involving Jerry at all) he screened my call and wanted to know every detail as to why I was calling before he would let me talk to her. I picked up a pair of Columbia brand joggers at Costco for $7.00 it was a steal. But the waist was loose and needed to be take in. I normally use a my dry cleaners to hem my pants but because I was in Oceanside I stopped by this place. I asked for the cost upfront instead; the short woman asked me to try on my pants. She walked over and pinned them very tight, Where I couldn't bend down or even remove my pants. I told her she pinned them too tight, she rudely replied; she would take care of it after removing my pants. Every pin popped off after. I asked her again 'how much it would cost to take them in? Her response was; a lot! I thought she was joking at first, then she proceeded to ring up my order with out telling me the cost, I asked her to wait and again asked how much the repair would be? Rudely she remarks "I need $30 now!" and $25 when you pick them up!" I was shocked! This place expected me to pay an outrageous $55.00 to take in 2 inches from a pair of pants that cost less than $10 the tag was still attached to pants! I can only imagine what theses con-artist charge military personnel for a hem! Your being ripped off! She and the rude guy smirked, and say yes, people pay those prices to come here And they pay! Dropped off metals to get one mounted. Showed up to pick them up and one of the stars was mounted low and crooked. They asked to come back the next day. Next day I show up and they forgot. They asked to come back the following day. They simply peeled off the star and remounted it slightly above the incorrect location but didn't bother to remove the glue. To add insult to injury my metals are scratched up and when I asked why I was told "those are yours we didn't touch them" I won't be returning here and I wildly urge others not to come here unless you want long turnaround times, high prices, and damaged uniform items. They can dry clean your clothes but if you give them a task beyond that you'll probably be disappointed. I asked for mounted medals and mounted shooting badges, and they told me no problem. Upon picking up my uniforms I hadn't realized that the shooting badges (that I had paid for) were gone, and the employee there was running around like a chicken with his head cut off looking for my medals, and playing the game of elimination trying to find my set. If you are in the service looking to get your uniforms done, don't skip the line at Dorothy's to come here, unless it's just for a dry clean. read more

Terrible experience. I went in looking for a dress blue Alpha coat and they were happy to tell me they would make one tailored to me in 2 weeks time. I returned on the 2nd week and they had not touched the coat. They asked me to give them more time so I told them 1 week. When I finally picked up the coat, it was in terrible shape. One sleeve was way too short, it was missing the top button, and definitely not tailored to fit me. After being charged $350 for the work I expected it to be top notch but instead had something slapped together that I couldn't even wear. I expect a refund. read more

Ahhh Jerry's.. I WAS a loyal customer for least two years. They really screwed me over few times but the last time came when they promised me a finished job with a day turn around. I returned a day later and nothing was done with my uniform, they told me to return within a few hours and I did. Once I came back they had a semi-finished job, they missed removing a previous name tape on my trousers which is a huge mistake as far as military uniforms go. My ribbon stack was also missing one.. Honestly, I did not go here to have any of my clothes altered. However, I did call in advanced to ask about same day pant hemming which they did say they offered. When I asked about the price, they refused to give me a quote and told me that I had to drive in so that they could see because "there are a lot of different types of hems they could do." Haha, how are there different types of pant hems? You literally just cut it shorter and sew it back. Based on other reviews, it seems like they won't give you a quote and ask you to drive in and might not even offer the service they tell you over the phone. If they aren't straight up and honest about things like this, what else might they hide from you to your clothes? They might even upcharge you once you drive to their store. Again, you can take this review with a grain of salt since I didn't actually purchase anything from them though I did contact them and decided against having them service my clothes. read more
