From the moment we walked through the door to the time we left, the service was Superb The food was so clean, fresh and delicious. We're moving to the east coast This was a place near and dear to our hearts. Of course we had to get one more meal before we left. The PORK CHOP was easily 10 stars

Serafina is a fantastic Italian restaurant in the Lake Union area of Seattle. I came here for a Sunday dinner. There were many tables unoccupied, so getting seated was easy. The patio area is beautiful and adorned with lush greenery and flowering plants. The service was out of this world and executed with a home-like feel. My waitress was ultra nice to the point where it felt almost too nice (if that's even possible). I tried several dishes. The bruschetta is a must try. It comes served with grilled focaccia and three very tasty toppings - olives, cheese with honey, and smoked salmon. The burrata was good, the crackers overpowered flavors of everything else with paired together. Lastly, the carbonara seemed like a modern take with the use of sun dried tomatoes as a surprising twist. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would 100% recommend others to visit.

Got takeout from here (uber eats) and it was amazing. I had the rigatoni bolognese and it did not disappoint. A healthy serving with lots of meat, and just so, so tasty. I also had the burrata which came fancily dressed up with fruit and homemade crackers. Looking forward to trying out dine-in sometime.

What a tragic end to a beautiful start. This restaurant is so romantic looking especially in their courtyard and the servers are all very nice. But that's as far as it goes. We ordered 1 appetizer (the octopus) and the seafood spaghetti and duck confit gnocchi. The octopus dish was nice and my favorite out of the three. But the baseline is very low. It had a nice char and not chewy. Seafood spaghetti was mediocre at best and I can make it better home. It was a bit sloppy. As for the gnocchi, I took one bite and said nope. It was a combination of dry and flavorless. Also gets a bit crumbly when you bite in the middle because it was undercooked? The squash was also not cooked enough either. Overall, that dish is barely a 1/5. On top of the mediocre food, the food took very very long to come out. Our one appetizer and two pasta dinner took 3 hours total. While the servers were very nice, that is too long of a wait. I'm too old to be at a restaurant for 3 hours on a Tuesday.

Fantastic Italian food, relaxed neighborhood vibe with upscale service. I highly recommend the eggplant entrée and the octopus appetizer.

Romantic date night spot. Restaurant is very intimate. Service is polite and attentive. My man surprised me with reservations for a calm and delicious meal. We both enjoyed the wine thoroughly and my boyfriend had two glasses as he was impressed. The spaghetti I ordered was delicious and I finished my plate! My boyfriend was a little disappointed as his plate the side was a bit small and felt and looked more like a dollop which was the only critique he found. I felt his dish was tasty but a little dry. We enjoyed our time here but table seating can be a bit close as one table next to us was a bit nosey and looked over at us a bit too often for my boyfriend's liking and too interested in what we were doing so didn't feel very private to have open discussion to be honest. However I'm in my own world and vibe so it didn't dampen my experience. Restaurant is cute and a lovely dinner date night spot. I enjoyed my pasta, wine, and time at Serafina.

This place is absolutely adorable!! It's so cute, charming, and cozy inside. Our server was very nice and helpful. The food was amazing!!! We shared a bunch of plates between 6 girls and it was perfect. The drinks were also so good! We were just visiting for the weekend, but I'd definitely come back if ever in the area again!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, specifically Eastlake! Their pasta always hits the spot, along with their bread, the flakey sea salt is to die for! The place is very cute and cozy and is great for small parties to large parties. I will always recommend Serafina, I've had almost everything on their menu! 10/10

Tried this place for Seattle restaurant week and overall this spot seems really nice, def good date spot as everyone around us was on a date, and we passed by the outside area and it looks really cute --- but to me the food is missable and I probably won't come here again. The grilled octopus was alright, good char and all that but didn't really like the stuff underneath it and wanted like a squeeze of lemon on top. The spaghetti pasta was alright but idk the pasta texture is obviously better than store bought one but the sauce and all that was just meh, scallops were small and shrimp just ok. The gnocchi dish was by far the worst dish and I just took it home and gave it to my friend who did like it. I just thought it didn't have much flavor and the gnocchi was a bit dry and hard. Service was nice and friendly but overall yeah just alright experience, maybe I'd try it again for the outside vibes though

Stopped by here on Sunday after a drive that lasted far too long. My boyfriend and I were starved and were not expecting the greatest interaction of the day was to be with our bartender Amanda. I was craving a hard kombucha but unfortunately they were not available on tap, or at all. Luckily, Amanda was there. She recommended a Shrub, which was a million times better than what I was looking for. Making the shrub was clearly not easy, we watched her throw together an orchestra of ingredients in multiple cups and containers. She was doing her thing. The shrub was delicious and she translated all the italian on the menu for us and recommended a special that knocked our socks off lol. Lastly, we ordered a couple pastas to go (the special by her rec) she made me another drink, and we left happy and ready to enjoy our food. Food was delicious even after dragging it around for a few more minutes. I hope yall give her a raise because she made the experience, all while handling multiple other drink orders. Thank you !!!

FOOD: food was yummy, I tried the seafood spaghetti and the tomato sauce was amazing and very fresh. the bolognese was also very good however the duck pasta was not my favorite SERVICE: the food took a while to come out and it was not very busy at all

Delightful dinner experience (even though the parking was terrible due to the street being torn up for blocks). Busy night and we were lucky to grab a table due to a last minute cancelation. Ordered arancini to start and it arrived with four small balls, perfect to share. I enjoyed the lasagna and my wife had the mushroom crema Risotto. Both dishes were full of flavor and enough to take some leftovers home. Service was spot on and I highly recommend making reservations to enjoy this Italian delight! Just remember parking is a pain during this road construction.

The staff seemed distracted, but they at least did not appear to be cranky or hostile. The karaoke selection was lacking, and as a queer man I was uncomfortable seeing that all David Bowie songs were pointedly crossed out in the books. Reviews had suggested that the Monkey Pub, despite being located in the U District, had a clientele of more than just college students; this may be true on non-karaoke nights, but when I went, it had the same college-kid crowd as anywhere else in the neighborhood. Drink selection was average. Indeed, the bar itself was largely average. I found no evidence of anything particularly dramatically terrible on my visit to the Monkey Pub, but nothing to get excited about either. Only worth it for karaoke if you're desperate. Probably an okay place to get a drink, but I didn't really detect much of the character and "local flavor" that usually makes a good dive bar worth the trip.

However the BLT I ordered looked like they threw all the ingredients on the toast with no real prep. The tomato jam was not jam but pieces huge chunks too big to eat. While I'm glad they aren't skimping on the ingredients it was piled so high that it was challenging to eat. I ended up eating it in pieces with my fork and as such lost the tastiness of a combination of the flavors as it quickly became a deconstructed mess. My go to order has always been the Mr Breakfast plate, it's super hearty and full of great breakfast foods. However, the price has increased exponentially and quality has definitely gone down. I used to pay around $15 for this plate and it included bacon and now it's $17 + an extra $4 to add 2 pieces of bacon. (The bacon is totally worth it though). The potatoes recipe need to be completely refined, or they need to offer a substitution option for them. They are overly soft and they don't have nearly enough seasoning. That was the only thing that remained on my plate when I was done! and the soft boiled egg tasted a little off to me, like it had been sitting for a bit long. Other than that, the Turkish eggs and chopped chicken salad were very fresh and good. Staff were super nice when ordering at the counter, coffees and pastries were good as well. Originally opened in 1934, the Blue Moon carries the kind of atmosphere you cannot recreate -- walls covered in decades of music, art, stickers, photographs, and stories. A dimly lit room packed with musicians, writers, artists, and people who genuinely appreciate creativity in its raw form. Throughout the night, the stage moved between live music, poetry, and performances from local artists while the crowd filled the tavern from the bar to the stage floor. Places like this remind me why independent art still matters. As an author traveling all over the United States -- and as someone who lived in the Seattle area for 2 1/2 years -- standing on that stage reading poetry from Purple Rose in a venue with this much history behind it was really something special. What I loved most was how welcoming the environment was. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly, art-friendly space where people genuinely support one another. If you are brand new to open mics or nervous about sharing your work for the first time, this is the kind of place where you will absolutely be shown kindness and encouragement. There were so many talented musicians, poets, and performers there, and you could really feel the appreciation for creativity throughout the room. The setup of the tavern itself is awesome. The stage and seating area wrap around the bar in almost a U-shape, so you can really choose your own vibe for the night. If you want to stay close to the performances and music, there is a dance floor and table area near the stage. If you want something more relaxed, you can hang back near the bar, have a drink, and still enjoy the atmosphere without being directly in the middle of everything. They also have a full bar, arcade games, board games, books to read, and even a small library on the shelves throughout the tavern. Somewhere inside, you may even find a signed copy of Purple Rose that I left hidden and dedicated to the historic Blue Moon itself. Beautiful evening with wonderful people. Great first impression since this was my sister's first time at Joey, or so I thought. We get seated at the outside patio and we order water to start. The water glasses came in a very small glass and since it was hot out, we drank our cups fast. I asked our waitress if we could have a pitcher / jug / container of some sort explicitly saying we want to refill our glasses. I suppose there was a miscommunication because a different waitress brought a bottle and then 3 more glasses out. We were then charged $10 for the bottle. I really just wanted a pitcher of tap, ice cold water we could drink since our waitress was not attentive to us whatsoever. My frustrations lie with the service we were given. 3 people eating at Joey is NOT cheap. It took 20 minutes for us to order our drinks and appetizer. Our appetizer came out before our drinks. We waited another 15 minutes for our drinks after that. A different waitress brought them out so at this point we have three waitresses, have been there nearly 50 minutes in the heat, barely any water with NO ice, and still have not ordered our food. I am disappointed since it had died down and there were only 3 other tables occupied outside at this point. Our waitress finally asks for our orders and we wait another 20 minutes for our food to come out. My partner ordered a larger size steak - $7 more. When the plates were brought out my sides were paired with his steak on my plate and vice versa. We asked the waitress can you verify that the 7 oz. steak was present in front of one of us since we were paying more. She left and checked with the chef, but we had to wait even more time before we ate in case they needed to take our plates back. We eat our meal and finish with our plates cleaned, glasses empty, and all stacked with napkins on top indicating we were finished eating. Our waitress walked past multiple times without ever checking in on us. She walked by and I eventually waved my hand and asked for the check. I see the $10 bottle was charged and asked for it to be removed. Thankfully, they did. Food was good as I have eaten Joey at the Bellevue location, but for the $160 tab I am VERY dissatisfied with our service. For the time and money we spent I would have appreciated more check ins, our food plated correctly, and WAY faster service. All in all, we sat there for over an hour and half when it could've been an hour max. Also, we were served room temperature water on a hot day when other tables had ice. Hoping the managers work on service. Don't waste your hard earned time and money by visiting this location, just go to Bellevue. Never had this bad of service there ONCE.
