Came here for lunch with my boss yesterday. I ordered the chicken Milanese and he ordered the chicken parm. My Milanese cutlet was gigantic. The entire plate. His was the same cutlet cut in half. Why do I get such a large piece and he gets half? He asked for the manager who was a little bit rude. He said that the reason it's half is cause there's mozz on it but it's already priced at a dollar more? Idk it was weird

Grilled Branzino

Walking into Serafina on 61st St for an early dinner, this has always been one of my favorite locations, we were greeted by the host and shown a table spaced away from other diners. The front dining area is warmly lit, bright enough to read the menu, comfortable seating with tables along side the wall facing a beautiful bar and ending by the pizza oven. The pizzas at Serafina are always a good starter or entree but tonight, the lightly fried artichokes and burrata caught my eye and the dish was terrific, the artichoke leaves inside were tender and silky with a hint of the olive oil that they were cooked in with the burrata served on a bed of arugula and sliced cherry tomatoes around the plate. The heart shaped lobster ravioli was delicious and served with a light sauce. The other entree was a grilled whole branzino plated with grilled vegetables, the fresh flaky fish was perfectly cooked as were the vegetables. The wait staff was very good about clearing the table between the courses.

Ravioli with black truffle

The pasta was pretty good although they did not serve bread with dinner, which was disappointing as there was nothing to dip in the sauce. I liked my meal enough but the staff was acting unprofessionally yelling and swearing and joking with each other the entire evening I was there. For $100 for one person, I didn't want to feel like I was in a frat house.

Melted top of the sauce container in the calamari

We ordered take out including calamari, garlic pasta and fried chicken parm with with vodka sauce. The top of the container holding the sauce melted from the heat of the calamari. So we had melted plastic in our food! Ewww the column was just OK as it was kind of soft from the heat in the container I guess. My girlfriend's garlic pasta was only fair. As you paid nine dollars extra for shrimp, they added five small shrimp for nine dollars! The chicken Parm was the only decent part of the meal. The sauce was good, although the chicken was a little soft was hoping for more of a crispy texture considering it was fried. Overall, I don't think we would ever order from here again.

Great cozy Italian spot with delicious food and friendly attentive service. We reserved 4 pm before the dinner rush. Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. We had the mushroom ravioli and lasagna and both were yummy. Starting with the arugula salad and ending with the portfolios. Good wine selection as well. A definite yes and see you soon! Ciao!

lobster bisque, pappardelle, Eggplant Parmigiana? Meatballs, caesar salad, pizza, foccacia

Walked in as a table for 3 after a day spent at the Met on NYE before the evening and NYE dinner rush. Luckily, we were able to be sat upstairs but were informed by the staff that we would have to relinquish our table in about 80-90 minutes. Our famished group was up to the task. Service was so-so. Took several times to ask for water refills and to clear plates from our crowded table throughout dinner and the check after dinner. Food came very quickly after ordering. The kitchen seemed prepared for the storm that was brewing for NYE dinner. Ordered a whole mess of food - crostini with burrata and caviar, lobster bisque, eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, caesar salad, foccacia, pappardelle ragu, pizza di vittorio. The eggplant was a small cast-iron serving dish without any side of pasta. The foccacia must be from a region that I'm not familiar with because it resembled more of a motzah than the images of fluffy pockets of olive oil and herbs that I'm used to. The show stopped was the crostini special with the burrata and caviar. Probably should have just ordered half a dozen of these for each of us as our meal. Pizza was well balanced and high quality ingredients. All that said, not sure you'll find me at a Serafina again. Food was just above average, but mediocre at best for the price point and service.

I'm hoping I've got the correct location. I was not paying attention when I checked in and posted my first picture. I checked in Sephora and posted my picture there. What a great place for a small family party. We were about twenty people, and we had a fixed menu. The night started with a few appetizers, meatballs, pizza, and a ceaser salad. But they also ordered a few other things, another salad with avocado and hearts of palm, French fries, and a white pizza. I loved the meatballs, but everything else was really good, too.. actually, the pizza was my least favorite thing, and it was good, too. For dinner, everything on the menu looked really good. I went with the filet with arugula salad. It was cooked perfectly, served with some kind of sauce that took it over the top. Everyone else at our table except for my daughter had the grilled salmon. They all said it was fantastic. My daughter had penne vodka. It was different from what she was used to having. She didn't care for it and ate half the salmon my wife had. I tried the penne and it was very good. Dessert time! It was tarimasu and chocolate cake. I could only have a bite of each. Was it good! It was a good night with really good service.

Spaghetti & Meatball with Parmesan

So we came here so I could try something other than pizza (because thats all I have wanted since visiting New York) so we came to this place and they had really fancy outdoor dining. So they gave us a basket of bread and the bread is really good and has a great crunch to the bread. I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs and this is by far the BEST I have had, EVER! It beats anything I have had in Michigan. The noodles were very thick and the sauce was very delicious, almost like a Lemon Orega o taste, a perfect sauce and the meat had a different taste, more of a real meaty taste but the spices on them made it taste perfect with its moisture quantity. I would totally eat this again.

The pancakes are some of the best I've ever had. So fluffy and light soaked in the sweet butter syrup. To die for. I felt like the breakfast sandwich was kind of a flop, I felt like it was missing a sauce to it and it just felt like items smacked together, nothing innovative. Overall crowded and busy for such a tiny space, but I still love coming here.

Evidently they are famed far and wide for their pancakes, which are quite delicious. I actually prefer more texture in mine, with a bit of crisp from the butter/griddle, but you will not be sad about eating these. That said, I truly enjoyed almost everything else more. This is not a knock on them in any way, but a compliment to their kitchen that all their food is interesting and delicious. To wit: The Thai Cobb salad has the base of a classic, but with the heat and the acid of a proper som tum. The KFC wings are everything I wanted them to be. I ate way too many. The Mushroom Reuben Quesadilla (pastrami-spiced portobello!) actually evokes the flavors of a reuben, and may just have been my favorite bite of the evening. I rolled with a katsu club sandwich for my main, and it was outstanding, although I may even have liked the tuna melt more. I was too full for dessert, but I think everyone around the table enjoyed theirs. The staff is uniformly friendly, welcoming, on top of their shit, and honestly, just so cool. They made us feel at home, and got us everything we needed and more. This is a gem. Maybe I won't wait seven years to try the next trendy spot.

The onions melted into the cheese and the toasted rye took it to the next level. This is a must try sandwich for all carnivores. And about the service... We stopped by for lunch and learned there was a short 15 minute wait. What typically might make you slightly upset did the opposite as the two men at the door and seating people engaged with us and made us feel like regulars. The dinner has a classic look inside and out and seriously, everyone is beyond friendly and attentive. Now that my wife teaches on 54th, we are destined to become regulars. Highly recommend

Fast forward to 2026 (where I'm finally not broke as hell), the day has finally come, and I am ecstatic about stepping foot into this diner that surprisingly is still standing in 2026. The inside certainly feels like a diner, but not quite the old-school dinginess that I'm used to--it's clean. Given that it was Sunday at noon, it was very crowded in there and mainly flooded with tourist groups, but a table opened up for us pretty quickly. For a NYC diner, the menu is certainly small - this is probably done to keep tables moving faster. I got the Pastrami Hash & Eggs and it was just overdone and super oily and dry--almost as if they just refried everything except the sunnyside egg. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed, given that I had waited for so long to come here, only to get food that was an attempt to give the staleness another chance by refrying and reheating. I actually beat myself up a little the rest of the day for finishing the whole thing, knowing that the oversaltiness was flirting with opening up some high blood pressure. It was also not moderately priced by any means (was close to $30), but I know I'm helping pay for that Midtown and proximity to Central Park pricing. Not sure if I'll return, which saddens me, but also knowing that they're part of a conglomerate at Fireman Group (and still run independently in a sense) makes total sense

With the hopes of avoiding any potential wait time, I decided to stop by on a bright, early Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. There was no line and I was seated immediately, but it was already packed (which indicates the food is top quality). Egg Cream: This chilled beverage has a beautiful appearance, especially the thick foam at the top. The ratio of seltzer, milk, and chocolate syrup were stirred perfectly. It was highly satisfying and a perfect alternative for a traditional breakfast drink. If you are not desiring the chocolate flavor, this specialty drink is also served in vanilla. BBC Omelette: This breakfast plate may have the same initials as the 24-hour news channel, but there is no relation whatsoever. This omelette was stuffed with broccoli, bacon, and cheddar cheese. These are not typically the toppings I order with an omelette, but I was feeling adventurous. It was a wise choice to explore this specialty plate because it surpasses my taste buds by a long shot. I never would have guessed broccoli and melted cheese taste well combined with an egg. A side of hash browns and toast is included. They were the backbone to the breakfast plate. In addition to a great meal, the service was impeccable. After I was seated, multiple servers checked up on me to make sure I wanted a drink. They always passed by and refilled my water glass. Even though the diner was crowded, the service was lightning fast and my drink and eggs arrived in a timely manner. This is a perfect dining experience and I see why they are always busy. #westwaydiner #midtownmanhattan #bbcomelette

We got seated really quickly but our server didn't show up for a while. We waited for him to take our order for almost 10 mins after being seated. He didn't write anything down in our order: stuffed tomato (which is what I always get) chicken and rice soup, Caesar salad, and waffle fries. The food came out quickly but right away, I realized he gave me a stuffed avocado, not tomato. I didn't eat any further, waiting for him to come back but he never checked in on us until about another 10 mins later when we were very obviously looking for him and other servers grabbed him. At this point, we had to get going pretty quickly and we told him that my order was wrong but we needed to get going. He apologized but had a weird attitude, like it was my fault he put in the wrong order though I said tomato 3 times while ordering. We waited another 5-6 minutes to find him again to get the check. He never corrected the ticket, but he did bring a to go container with tomato slices, which is not the same. I think Westway had a good run for me, won't be coming back.
