So this review is about the service Chris provided. He was very responsive to messages and…read morereturning phone calls but did not do a great job in the small leak I had. One of the connector under my sink was leaking. He changed it but forgot to one small part inside the line (according to the other plumber who came at a later date to fix the problem). The problem was not obvious initially, but after 2-3 months the connector portion started leaking more and more. That was one reason for this review. Another reason is, I had problem with my shower temperature and suspect something is wrong with shower cartridges. However Chris told me he doesn't know how to take this shower handle off so he needs to cut off the handle to access inside and so I will have to replace the handle as well if I want the job done. Well, the plumber that fixed my sink issue had no problem taking off the handle. He did have to spend a bit more time figuring it out. There is some corrosion around the screw area but it was doable. So either Chris ability is not as good or he doesn't have the patience to figure it out. For that reason, the service he provided a few months back was not satisfactory

I called Prodigy to replace a water shutoff valve for my refrigerator. When I asked for a ballpark…read moreprice, I was told they needed to come onsite to inspect the situation before they could provide an estimate. That seemed reasonable. Once they arrived, however, I was quoted a price that was roughly twice what I expected. The technician referenced a price/specification list, which makes me question why they couldn't have provided at least a general estimate over the phone, with the usual disclaimer that the final price could vary depending on the actual situation. I take responsibility for agreeing to the work instead of declining and getting another quote, but I was uncomfortable with the way the pricing was handled. It left me feeling that I wasn't given enough information to make an informed decision before the technician arrived. The actual job took less than two hours, and I felt the final price was extremely high for the work performed. I would not use Prodigy again for two reasons: Lack of pricing transparency and what I consider a poor business practice. Extremely expensive pricing compared with what I expected for this type of repair.

We requested the next morning around 9 AM, and they gave us a 9:00-9:30 arrival window. Christian arrived at 9:15 -- exactly as promised. He was friendly, professional, and honest from the start. He even let us know about their $79 drain special they were running, which we really appreciated. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, and he was in and out in about a half hour. Mr. Rooter was highly recommended to us by a friend who had recently used them, and now I completely understand why. I definitely thanked my friend afterward! We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend Christian and the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing.

I've referred him to friends and they have also loved him. Over the past several months Jesse has been very unreliable. He will say that he is coming at a certain time and just not show up. This is the second time he did not follow through. For this instance, my first floor flooded and we had to shut off the water. I explained this was a true emergency as we don't have any water in our home. He said he'd arrive at 6 or 7am. At 7:30...no one was there. We call and text...no answer. At 8 he says he can arrive at 9:30. I trusted him so much and now I'm annoyed because he keeps wasting our time. We called a different company and will likely pay more but we need reliable service. We can't continue to live in a world where he might come or he might not.
