We have been stopping at this place since they opened and even though they have changed hands, they still have a great sandwich counter. This time we got excellent help from a very nice person named Ethan who even helped us when I had incorrectly ordered. He was very kind and knowledgeable and we really appreciate it. I do sort of miss the Old hippie crunchy vibe, but the sandwiches are still good in the bathrooms are still clean and it's right off the freeway, which makes it an easy stop on the way from the Portland area to California. read more

Let me start with... only in Eugene! I can't speak to the fuel aspect of this business, but being able to eat delicious and fairly healthy food at a gas station has its own unique appeal. Like I said... only in Eugene! I ordered a salad with goddess dressing and a fresh coffee. The prices were fair, the service was super fast, and the staff were very friendly. Did I mention that they have a drive through window with full food service? Imagine a traditional gas station with better food, nicer staff and an odd dose of Eugene. It's all here!!! We have a new go-to stop whenever we drive through this area. SeQuential is a great cafe, mini market and gas station all in one. The cafe offers a nice menu of breakfast sandwiches served all day, as well as salads and cold or hot sandwiches. I liked the spicy turkey sandwich, which was about $8. I also like the Asiago bagel with cream cheese. The drinks menu is nice too. They offer the usual coffee options, plus three different varieties of chai and kombucha on tap. The market is charming and eclectic. I saw everything from organic trail mix and cool stickers to a whole end cap dedicated to disc golf and accessories. Bonus tip: We also got a cup of free coffee with our gas fill-up, so be sure to ask about that if you're getting gas here. read more

This used to be our favorite road trip stop - anytime we'd be passing close to Eugene we'd make time to stop here. It was a truly unique spot with healthy snacks, local baked goods, herbal products, gifts from local businesses and more. Now someone else has bought it and the uniqueness and soul has been drained and replaced with the same old crap you can find at any gas station in America - fireball, vapes, and doritos. New ownership. Instead of being greeted with a rack of locally sourced veggie and flower starts and a well kept outside patio, you will now be bombarded by a barrage of advertising on nearly every square inch of window space, Pepsi, Monster Energy and the living roof has been left to die. It is yellow and dry. When you open the door, you will face a large tv screen, fireball alcohol products, vape display behind the counter. You will walk past a display selling utility knives, beef jerky products, and Hostess Brand processed twinkies and cupcakes. The artistic chalkboards in the restrooms have been painted over with an ugly green paint. Very little stock of healthy options as it has been replaced by the standard run of the mill selection found at your standard big box grocery store. The soul that once was the great place to stop is no longer there. It has been sold and the employees were not even warned. The decade long tradition of stopping here as I drive through Oregon has now ended for me. I won't be back due to these changes that so clearly communicate that the new owners do not care to know who their actual customers are. What a disappointment. read more

This place is a sweet little hidden gem. You might think it's a simple convenience stop, but then you go inside and see all the really cool food items and locally made stuff they have. You'll find interesting snacks & drinks you don't see in other places. There's a good amount of vegan & gluten-free stuff as well. Also they sell stuff like disc-golf discs and locally made hats... Along with that you can get made-to-order sandwiches, smoothies and a nice selection of baked goods sourced from places like Sweet Life and the all-gluten-free Elegant Elephant. Last time I was here I got a green smoothie made with mango, ginger powder, banana, spinach, apple & pineapple juice. It was fantastic and fairly priced. Some fresh ginger would have been nice, but I'd definitely get it again. Next time the Blueberry-Lavender Basil has my name on it... One cool locally-made food item you can get here is Dirtballs. These are energy-bites made with dates, flax seeds, sunflower butter, dried papaya, coconut, cinnamon & sea salt. They're really delicious, healthy, and unique. You get a batch of 7 for 6 bucks. Way more than just a gas station! My husband, son, and I stopped to get gas and coffee on our way to go hike and we were so pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The employees were friendly and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. The products here are locally sourced and healthier than the usual gas station grabs. While my husband and I were placing our coffee orders I saw one of the employees drinking a milky, beautiful drink. He told me it is an Oregon Chai, which is sweeter than most chai, so I took a chance and ordered one. I am now an Oregon Chai lover! The drink was creamy and delicious, even my toddler became a fan! My husband loved his latte, so we decided to come back each day we were in town and try something new. We ate the fig jam and brie, ham and cheese, and goat cheese croissants. I got the Basilian sandwich and the bread was very dry and bland, olive spread was big chunks of olive and the sandwich was just very oily and salty and unimpressive. I have never been to SeQuential Biofuels Station, funny thing I didn't go there to fill up my car! Instead I filled up my 64 oz. growler of Kombucha! I love kombucha and found out they had BNF and Elevate kombucha on tap! Both are made locally and so I had to stop in! Great place, self-serve tap. I was fortunate to have some tips from one of the employees. I never filled my own growler before and didn't want a lot of head. So after my fill of First Kiss, Elevate Kombucha, I checked the place out. I was impressed for a "gas station" stop. They have Mam Cafe Coffee, healthy snacks and Sweet Life treats! I left with my growler full, only $12, which was a good price! I'll be stopping back by for sure! Super handy off of I-5 if you are going North or South. SeQuential is convenient for gas, since you get a free coffee fill up, or in my case a free loose leaf Townshends earl grey tea. The reason I am a repeat customer though is because they have a fantastic deli and pastry selection. Their pastries come from 3 different local bakeries: 1) pies, cupcakes and savory croissants from Sweet Life 2) bagels and scones from humble bagel 3) desserts and brioche from noisette! The pastries from Sweet Life are delivered on Tuesdays, when they have the best selection, and I can never resist the lemon bars with powdered sugar that disappear by the end of the week. Besides serving great pastries, they also have sandwiches, salads, espresso and smoothies made to order. My favorite sandwich is the roasted vegetable with chèvre, but they will also make a bacon and avocado quesadilla on request, with a chipotle mayo, that is usually reserved for one of their turkey sandwiches. For such a small place they also give great discounts on coffee when you bring your own cup and just started filling growlers with Falling Sky Beer. Everything here is organic and free trade. The coffee is bitter, but great in a mexi mocha or latte when you bring your own cup and get the .50 discount, then realize there aren't any better options nearby for coffee. I drive out of my way for their sandwiches several times a month and am super excited they just put in a growler filling station. Beyond the instant food options they also have a great selection of natural snacks and offer kambucha! Completely oblivious to what awaited us, we pulled into this gas station thinking it was just like any other. Upon pulling up to the pump, I noticed a BioDiesel sign. Uh oh, maybe this station is only for "special" cars, I thought to myself. I was wrong. Instead, you have the option of BioDiesel or BioEthanol Fuel. The E10 is your "standard" gas but, being comprised of 10% ethanol, burns cleaner and runs better. According to their brochures, most cars can use E10 (some older ones may be excluded). Then there's E85--85% ethanol and suitable for FFV type cars. If you have a diesel vehicle, you can choose from B5, B20 or B99. Pretty cool. As I sat and relaxed for a minute while the attendant filled my tank with E10 and washed my windows (love that!), gf ran into the store to get a snack. As I was waiting for her, I glanced at the storefront and noticed it looked a little different than your typical gas station convenience store. It has a living roof and their windows say things like "organic espresso" and "natural foods." So of course I had to check out the inside too. I was shocked and wandered in amazement. While they did have a few staples like m&ms and doublemint gum, the shelves were overflowing with top quality brands you'd find at your local natural foods store. They also have fresh produce--not a basket by the register with a few overripe bananas and an apple, but baskets of organic plums, peaches, nectarines, etc--and an espresso bar that sells tasty looking desserts and pastries ( I didn't try either so can't comment on how they actually are). Prices vary--some seemed less expensive than you'd pay at say, whole foods, and others were slightly higher. I guess this is the first station and they're hoping to open a few more in the next year or so (possibly in Santa Barbara, I think), and the guy at the counter said there's a few pumps throughout CA, with one being in Santa Cruz. read more

Was staying at a hotel nearby and was in need of some good coffee. Stopped by this place and was thrilled. The coffee was from a local roaster and the pastries were fresh, unique and delicious. I really wish I had bought some beans while I was there as the coffee was smooth and rich. I will definitely be back when I drive through again. Here's the deal with this "Gas station": it's so much more than just a gas station! It's a Sweet Life retailers, a deli, a sustainable local- business that sets the standard for both other local business and hopefully in the long run our global community. The Gas: It's E10 gas, which I don't know much about, but it works and my car seems like good on it. The Deli - Mart: So yummy! They have some really wonderful sandwiches & salads. They are a little bit pricer than your average truck stop gas station sandwich, but that is because it's not your average truck stop gas station. The sandwiches are made in front of you, by friendly (and attractive) employees. They also use local, organic and fresh ingredients!
