Agreed to an outlet baffle for $400 that turned out to be a four-inch piece of PVC pipe with a plastic $10 filter in it. The total price was $1000. Go with another company!!! I was quoted at $180 for backed up system. Normal pump out would take about 2 1/2 hrs. It took 4. I get maybe some extra for time and such maybe even double.I was charged $3000. Yes 20x the amount and nothing new added. Had a quote of $189 that included the dispatching fee and the charge for pumping out the septic tank. Once they opened it and saw it was full so they added an additional $120 charge for that and an additional charge for the piece of equipment they needed to use $225. Total went from $189 to $540. When done, he showed me the empty tank and the little bit of water trickling back in. Said That meant I had a blockage in the drain field and it would be another $700 plus to find that and unblock it. If not, the tank would refill in a couple of days and I'd be right back where I started. The ground was saturated from all the rain so logic said to say no thanks, especially after feeling like I just got taken. The problem still wasn't resolved. Hearing that, he offered to try to pump (randomly) a single drain for $500 to see if that would work. No thanks. The employees here are very unprofessional and dishonest. The dispatcher called me at 8:37am and left a message at 8:38. My phone was malfunctioning, I called them back from another phone at nearly the same time and was told that my spot had been given away because they hadn't heard from me. I asked how could that be. I was told that they called me twice ten minutes apart and got no response. At this point it's 8:45, I was placed on hold at 8:42 by the first person that answered. All this is after I took off on Wednesday morning for the technician to come out originally, but he was running late because he had truck issues or something. I wouldn't let these liars service my septic tank if it were court ordered. I believe the real reason is that it is raining today and they never had any intention of coming out anyway. read more

I selected Mr. Rooter based upon a "TrustDale" recommendation. It appears that they do their septic pumping through Septic Blue. Septic Blue has been an absolute nightmare to work with. Scheduling with them is nearly impossible. You book something online that shows as available and it's not. So you get a call to reschedule. You reschedule with the person on the phone and they don't show up. You call the company to see what happened and you're scheduled for a completely different date and time. In the meantime, you have set aside your day for the 3 hour window that they originally gave you and at no point do they bother calling you to tell you that your appointment has changeed. Time to move on to another company....TrustDale needs to go back and review those companies that it recommends. I'll never use that service again either. read more

BEWARE!!! WARNING!!! My advice - use a different company. If you do use Septic Blue of Cumming, DO NOT sign or initial any quotes until you have a printed copy or email to review line by line. What I thought was a routine septic pump out for under $200, turned into over $2,200. Derek, the technician, only discussed physical repairs that were needed. I initialed Derek's device, but NOTHING was visible on his damaged device screen. NEVER ONCE did Derek mention or did I ask for a 3 year advantage plan membership for $149 or the 6 bottles of Bio-One for $329 (charged for 6 on the invoice, tech. left a sealed box of 4 in my garage without even mentioning it - STRANGE). While Derek was loading his equipment, I noticed the box and thought an Amazon package had been delivered. I opened it and asked Derek if he meant to leave the box. He said, "those are for you". I honestly thought it was complimentary due to the large sum of money the company made off me, and the fact that a charge for this was never discussed. Why would anyone ever pay that much or need that much of the product on hand??? I've called and left 2 messages for the manager and sent an email requesting reimbursement for the $478 of items that were NEVER discussed, with no response. Septic Blue is tricky, in my experience. The quote to pump my tank was $225. The actual bill came to over $800, with "extras". Because their tech was 45 minutes later than the 8:00 - 11:00 window, my wife had to sign for the added items on a dirty iPad. I had to leave for work. A "special tool" was required, over $200. Then some quarts of "special" bacteria, which my wife was strongly encouraged to purchase, costing over $350! I suggest you don't use this company because so many legitimate providers are available that don't overcharge once they arrive. read more

Richie from Septic Blue came out within 48 hours of me calling and found multiple problems with my septic system and fixed them all. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! Called to have septic tank pumped and they arrived when they said. Tank lid did not have proper port so I OK'ed new lid with approved port. That all seemed legit. HOWEVER, as it turns out, the tech did not properly adhere the port cover to the tank lid. That's what it appears to me because I can't get them to come back out to see what is going on.. With all the rain we've had, the port cover is now floating and allowing gallons and gallons of ground water to enter the top of the septic tank. I now have raw sewage floating out of the top into my back yard. This all occurred since late summer when the new lid was installed. At the time the job cost me $1,500 which I thought was reasonable. HOWEVER, I have called Customer No Service four times in the past two weeks and have not received a call back from anyone. The service manager, Billy, is in the field working and apparently doesn't know how to use a cell phone from the field. I have asked to speak to a customer service manager and have been told she is at lunch or has left early. During the fourth call I told them if I didn't hear back today I would begin to slam them on social media and reviews. I am a former business owner and school teacher. I am not unreasonable and I am not an idiot. It appears since they have my $1,500 I am no longer important to them. I will be calling again Monday morning and every day after that. It has a cap that can be removed and he said he is alone but he does remove cap. Then he tells me it is over the limit so I will have to pay extra. He sells me Bio one for 250.00 to eat up the sludge buildup. Then he wants to know the size. I look at old bill it shows 15,000. Then he said we were charged wrong on that bill five years ago. I fell for the $149.00 "deal". When technician arrived, with a backhoe, he asked me what he was there for. I informed him it was a simple pump, no issues with tank. It took him almost 30 minutes to even get the lid off the exposed tank and then told me it wasnt the right tank, and that he can't find the other one. Since I have no idea about septic systems, and he is the "expert", I just told him we would wait and call someone else. He said cool, and charged me $30 dispatch fee. Honestly don't think he wanted to work(it was a Sunday and HOT). After seeing the other reviews, I think I got out lucky. I felt compelled to write a review of this business. I don't know anything about their work ethic, but I'm thinking with what I experienced, not great. I made an appointment about a week ahead of time and they told me they would be at my house at 8 o'clock in the morning. When that time rolled around, they called and said the guy was enroute and he would be here in 45 minutes to an hour. After waiting for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, I called them and she put me on hold saying the worker was 90 minutes away! What? I had somewhere to be, so I told them not to bother. This was on a Saturday and I called Monday to speak with a manager to complain. I had to leave a message and guess what?? never hear from anyone!! Had a quote to have the septic tank pumped for $149 plus a $39 service fee after tank was opened the additional fees of added costs, tank overfilled , a filter which sells for 24 dollars, charged 110. After completion of the $650 bill, the septic tank was still was not totally empty. The tractor used ran out of fuel, I had to get fuel . Price was one hundred eighty dollars for digging up septic tank, pumping tank, and recovering tank.
