They came out to quote at no charge (which is good b/c a lot of companies like to charge just to come look at the issue) and their plumber, Jack H., was professional, respectful and knowledgeable. Upon assessing the disposal, he recommended we replace the unit since it was leaking from the bottom of the unit, advising that they typically last 5-7 years and we've had ours for 10 years. Jack H. quoted me a competitive price and offered a 1-year warranty on the work, so I cancelled the other 2 appointments and let him do the job. He worked diligently and was very personable. Jack H. made sure everything was put together correctly with the new unit, made sure the pipes he loosened were tightened back up and he tested the unit to make sure it was working properly. He even showed me what I needed to do to unclog the unit should it get clogged. Everything seems to be working normally and I feel confident that should an issue arise regarding the disposal within the 1-year warranty period, Royal Flush will send Jack H. back out to handle it immediately. Going to the website they've…read moreonly been in business three years at this location. if that is accurate the original service may have been from the one in Duluth. Five years ago, we bought our house and had it pumped just for peace of mind for moving in. We were getting an odor in our house now five years later, so of course I called them again. Upon inspection, they said there was damage to the tank and that was why we were getting the odor, and said it would be $3500 to repair. We would need to pump the tank either before or after. So I told him to go ahead and just pump it. They were here about 15 minutes pumping and charged me $450 which is their standard rate apparently. They cannot access the second lid and according to AI a septic company should pump out of both lids when they do a pumping job for 1000+ tank. Anyway, after the job was done, I paid them, actually before the job was done. I then had a Plummer inspect and said everything was in working mortar and then we located the source of the smell, which was a cut drain pipe from some flooring we had redone, and the drain pipe was never capped so the fumes were coming straight in from the septic tank into our laundry room. After a five dollar tap was put on the smell was eliminated. I then called Pumpco back again telling them that I thought it was unfair to spend 15 minutes for $450. His response was that they don't pump for less than $450, despite the fact that they did five years ago only charged me 200+ dollars because the tank didn't really need pumping. He also told me that you only have to access one lid to be able to pump a septic tank. Upon saying that I wasn't really talking to a reasonable person that was worried about future business, despite the fact that I'd love him a very positive view five years ago, it was obvious just take the money and run. I don't even need a new septic repair either as they were trying to get 3500 more dollars out of me. Originally I called about the odor, and was told they would give a free inspection. I said I would be more than happy to tip the workers for their time and had $40 in my pocket ready to do so. What I got was a whole different experience. I'm not saying they're an accurate about being able to pump from one tank instead of both lids, which one was inaccessible. So make your own decisions. I'm just sharing this so that you can be aware. Just be cautious. In my mind, for 20 minutes of time and hooking up a hose to a tank shouldn't have cost me more than 200- $250. That's just my opinion and that's all it is. And it's just a two person home and probably didn't need it anyway.

We had an intake line burst in the water heater closet in the house just before midnight recently…read more(not due to freezing). With water spraying into the closet, we quickly called around looking for a 24-hour plumber with decent ratings. Several of the more recognizable names in the area were not 24-hour, but Atlantis dispatched Tony S. with a 40-minute arrival time. Tony arrived, quickly assessed the situation and got the water shut off. Then, he went to work to replace the section of pipe. Suspecting a pressure problem, he ran those checks as well, ultimately finding the burst section of pipe was old and had weak or damage spots and the pressure was fine. He did point out some changes we might consider (previous owner had self-installed this water heater), but there was no high-pressure or dire warnings just to secure more work. Now, it was an emergency fix in the middle of the night, so I won't say it was cheap, but not sure what plumbing service is these days - we recently had other plumbing work done by another company & our jaw dropped at that bill. Tony was fast, friendly and got us back in business. We may have a new go-to plumber.

Turns out that they had been sold. The guy (kid) that came out pumped some of the tank, and told me that the blockage was because of a dip in the pipe running from the house to the tank. $350 later after having a camera run - turns out no dip, bend, or crack. Just a blockage right at the tank inlet. Called Sludgebusters and 'lo and behold, they took a stick, ran it up the pipe and said "Yup, you have a blockage right here". Grabbed my garden hose, ran it up the pipe (all of 12" away from the tank) and busted through the blockage. Water came flooding in and service was restored. They also showed me, before they did any work, that the tank was about 3/4 full, 2 days after it had been "pumped" by the other company. And with a blocked line, nothing from the house had gone in. Sludgebusters came in, knew what the heck they were doing, and showed me every step of the way. They didn't try to push anything off on a plumber, just figured out how to get the job done.
