I had them come out to pump my 1,000 gallon tank and was quoted 485 over the phone. The reason I called them was because my bathroom had smelled a bit like sewer the last two days and then the morning I called them, the shower wasn't draining as quickly as it had. The last time we had the tank pump was 5 years ago so I figured that's what it needed. They have this bait and switch scam where they tell you it's going to be $485 to pump it but then they show up and they tell you there's an over full fee of $200 and if you happen to have any Kleenex or wipes in your septic system they charge you another $150 trash fee. So by the time you get your septic tank cleaned out it could cost you almost $1,000! They advertise $485 to get you in the door but then they jack up the price with extras. You're better off just to pay a competitor $600 and not get up charged at all. They will do everything for $600 and not add on charges. Ridiculous things. There are a lot of septic tank companies in the Atlanta and Douglasville area. Before hiring this company, please get a few estimates and don't fall for there their price. Gimmick to get them on your property. EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER'S COMMENT: Has there ever been a routine? $485 pumping? I can almost guarantee the answer to that question is no. You use the $485 to get people to let you come on to their property. Once you're on their property you have a $285 cancellation fee if they reject your up charges and high pricing. You've got this scam really well figured out and I hope future customers understand what you're doing. It's very obvious. In the future I will just go with the middle priced septic guy and if they try to up charge me with trash fees or digging fees or over full fees I will tell them no thank you and call the next person. I think it's very shady what you're doing with this bait and switch pricing tactic. The only reason you gave me a $50 discount is because I told you that I would have to get some more price quotes from other companies before I committed to the ​high price with the upcharges. Only then did you quickly offer me a $50 discount. I knew if I didn't accept the offer and turned him away, I would end up paying your $285 cancellation fee. So yeah you guys are cheesy as heck and it's really sad. You should be reported to the better Business bureau and probably criminally as well. read more

These guys are thieves. They came to my house and couldn't find the septic tank. I had to call the previous owner to locate it for them. After that, they still claimed they couldn't find the tank and wanted to charge $475 to use a camera to probe it. Then they asked for $1,000 more to move dirt out of the way, saying they had to hand-dig because there was a cable underneath. Their prices are outrageous and completely overcharged. They showed no real knowledge and kept adding extra charges for small things. They charge me $285.00 for cancelation. read more

It was crucial to get the tank cleaned out within a four day time frame because we have construction on the house within the week. The day after our initial call they came out. Michael and Chris did a great job of explaining the cleanout process and what they were looking for with respect to cracks, condition, fill level, and baffle tee. My tank is 50 years old, and buried 6-feet rather than the tradition 2-feet. This made accessing it much harder than normal. Michael suggested installing a new tank lid that would accommodate a 24-inch riser. In the future this riser will enable access to the tank without having to dig a 6-foot hole and disrupt the yard. It will pay for itself in the next two cleanouts. Michael and Chris were very nice and easy to deal with, and left the yard the way they found it. I am very pleased! read more

I called One Way Septic because 5 years had gone by since I purchased my home, and it was time to clean septic, but that something looked odd with my system and I wanted someone to come check it out. They sent Cody to my home and we discovered the septic tank lids were too deep to reach without excavation. I asked for a quote and they told me it would cost $3200, so I told him I had to think about it, and they charged me $293 for trip charge. I thought that might be customary , but afterwards I called several other companies and they came out to give me quotes, no charge, and the excavation fees were much more reasonable than One Way Septic. As with my other review as I've dealt with three companies this year they all lie they come they tell you your septic system is full of course it's full that's why I called you and then they give you some crap about you need a new drain field you need that buy Rid-X put Rid-X in regularly and keep your fingers crossed and get your drain field working had three septic companies at three locations they all quoted me around $300 to pump the septic system out and then when they got here increased to $600 it's the same bait and switch game that everybody does but I guess you need to get your septic system pumped. Very shady. I had to pump my tank and found issues which of course happens with older homes. I had a $5k quote which mainly involved de rooting. Well darn, from $700 service originally escalated quickly. If i'm going to spend $5k on something, i'm going to shop around. Got the pumping done during the meantime just to clear out the tank. Requested for invoice and quote for 2-3 days straight. Eventually no response so i gave up. 25 days later, tank was full again... Called them to get a my receipt and quote that was never delivered. All of a sudden my email worked and they sent quote via text instantly. Coincidence? Nope, they didn't want me to shop around and expose them of their overpriced 3 years experience in business. Overall, if you don't mind paying an arm and a leg, then this place is for you. If it wasn't an emergency then we could have priced shopped for more affordable price quotes and services. when I first contacted them for information, I found this company to be very upfront about their pricing. they texted me prior to arriving to let me know they were on their way. When Trenton arrived he went over the pricing once again. There were no hidden costs and I was well aware of everything that was going on throughout the process. (I called them out to pump my septic tank). I anticipated there might be some other issues because this is a 100 plus year old home and nothing was done by the book! However Trenton did not start any of the work without showing me exactly what was going on with my septic tank. Because there were multiple things that had been done incorrectly one of the estimates he gave me was to simply do the pumping that I had called them for originally but he also provided me with two other estimates of work that needed to be done to bring it up to standards. No one wants to have to call for septic service, but having no choice I'm extremely happy I went with One Way Septic. Based on their nearby location and positive reviews, I contacted them and received an immediate reply to schedule a service. Jacob and his assistant showed up early and worked in the rain to get the tank located and drained. They checked for any additional problems at my request but found only ones with the outflow pipe and the filter fitting, which they replaced. It did add to the cost, but they were upfront and honest about the process and did not try and sell me any unnecessary work. I was afraid my field was clogged, but they used their equipment to clear that out too and saved me a lot of money. Their equipment was top notch, and their technicians were polite and professional. I thank the septic tank business is like so many other businesses a rip off . They tell you 3:55 to come pump your tank knowing when they get here before they leave you're going to be out thousands . I should have told them to put the lid on it after they drained it but they convinced me that a pipe had bested . They replaced it with a PVC and charged me over $700 . They have the camera and they can show you things and I know for a fact he showed me a little debris at the opening of my field line so with his vacuum hose that was sucked up but he did not go into my line which I know is gravel with that suction. Again I was charged $700 for sectioning and cleaning the field line. Folks that was not done . I can't say enough for the two guys that came to do the job and I know they just did their job but the pricing is ridiculous. read more

I called them to empty my skeptic tank. The estimate was $500. After uncovering the tank they found minor problems with the soil pipe intake and the field line drainage. It took them about an hour to fix the problems. The material costs were $10. They charged me over $2000. They had me between a rock and a hard place as I clearly couldn't be without a sceptic tank while I found another company. These charges are aggregious and opportunistic. I would recommend this company to everyone. Our septic tank backed up over a three day holiday weekend. I called the number listed online and got an answer.... From the owner of the company, Jody. He was very friendly and ready to get to work. He sent his son in law out the very next morning and got us back up and running, even though his pump truck had broken that morning. He dug the holes by hand and cleared it up enough so that we could operate our facilities until they could get back out with their truck. We didn't pay anything until the job was completed. And, Jody didn't charge us any extra because of the holiday weekend. It was just one flat rate. I called around to several different companies and this is the only one who would come out and service or system without charging extra or waiting until the holiday was over.
