Then they asked for $1,000 more to move dirt out of the way, saying they had to hand-dig because there was a cable underneath. Their prices are outrageous and completely overcharged. They showed no real knowledge and kept adding extra charges for small things. They charge me $285.00 for cancelation.

Unfortunately, I recently experienced a clogged drain, and after hiring another company to investigate the problem, I discovered that my septic tank had not been cleaned properly during the previous service. When I contacted W & W to explain my emergency, they kept giving me the runaround. Initially, they scheduled a visit for three days later, which I accepted. However, when I called to confirm the appointment, I was told they would not be able to come until a week later. At that point, I could not afford to wait any longer because I needed the problem resolved. I hired another septic company, and they determined that the tank had not been adequately cleaned. I believe this may have contributed to the clogging issue I experienced. I ultimately had to pay an additional $400 out of pocket to get the problem fixed. What frustrates me the most is that W & W responded the next day when I originally called to schedule routine maintenance, but when I needed help with an urgent problem, the service and communication were completely different. Based on my experience, I was very disappointed with their workmanship, customer service, and lack of urgency when a problem arose. Mr. Larry was the person who handled my original service. I am sharing my experience so other homeowners can make an informed decision before hiring this company. I ended up wasting even more time calling back and forth just to follow up over $50. Very disappointing experience. I would recommend getting multiple quotes and making sure any promised discount is documented before agreeing to the work. I used them because it was a referral and didn't think to question their prices until afterwards. Mistake made on my part for trying someone new and local.

After going through over half a dozen septic companies and plumbing companies, (about half told me…read morethat my entire system drain field needed to be redone at over $11,000), someone told me about Silas Payne. The man came to the house and began to empty the tank. A short time later, he knocked on the door and told me that his truck was full and I took out my check book. Mr. Payne stopped me and said, "I'm not finished. I just wanted to let you know that I have to go empty the truck and I'll be gone about 45 minutes to an hour. I didn't want you to think that I would leave thing a mess.". True to his word, he returned about an hour later, and began to pump more out of the tank. He then said that he had empty the truck again and drove away. Bear in mind, I had never had a company take 2 full loads from the tank and I was curious and simultaneously dreading the bill. Payne returned and went through the clean out valves for the drain field. After pumping out those, he said that he that he might have to make another round trip, but that it looked like he was finished with the pumping and that after he and his partner cleaned up the yard he would talk to me. He told me that the reason that I had so much trouble ocer theyears, was that no one had ever truly emptied the tank and drain field. I said that only one of the other companies even pumped a 2nd load. He said that the drain field was so full of sludge that it was only working at about 45%. He said that I should have no further problems. I braced myself for the bill and was astounded. The price was less than half of my previous service (a one load company that said that I needed to replace my entire drainfield.). I call him every 3 years and he always does an incredible job!
