Nathaniel was very friendly and helpful. He was able to come out quickly to inspect my place. He looked at some spots where I suspected mold and put my mind at ease. I was ready to pay for testing, but he assured me that it was not necessary. Gave me some recommendations to prevent mold in the future. read more

Super knowledgeable, responsive and professional. Nathaniel was able to help out during a quick due diligence processes allowing my family to feel safe with our home buying decision. Definitely recommend work with this great company for any home environmental needs! read more

Nathanial was extremely knowledgeable and honest. I had done a home lead test and found a positive result on some of my paint, but Nathanial saved me so much time, money, and headache by having the integrity to tell me it was a false positive. He was a breath of fresh air compared to the experience I frequently have with contractors, where it feels like they would always push for the most expensive option, even when it's not needed. I am so grateful! read more

Nathaniel is excellent. I've called on him twice so far. More for preventive measures. He's responsive and courteous, and provides good advice and suggestions on your issues. He's knowledgeable about various environmental hazards and how to protect against them. He works very quickly and makes you feel like your issue matters, even if it's small. He won't try to upsell you or suggest unnecessary things. I was looking for some advice on how to dust contain an area and he provided guidance on how to DIY it on my own with some simple materials. Glad that we have someone like Nathaniel with his expertise serving the Smyrna area. read more

I just spoke to Nate about a suspicion of mold in our house. I had a leak in a bathroom on the main floor and it dripped down into a basement closet. I put up some box fans and a dehumidifier to dry everything out and after while the musty smell went away. However, I just recently replaced the hvac filters and noticed that they've never looked that bad. I'm sure I should have replaced them right after things dried out but I neglected. Nate offered that we don't get too worried about it just yet. He suggests that we leave the new filters in for a month to see how they look after that, then, call him if we are still concerned. I so very much appreciate this straightforward advice and honesty. Even though we aren't a customer yet, we sure will be if the need arises. Thank Nate! read more

I called Echelon last week and Nathaniel Hardy came out right away to do an asbestos inspection for a shed that I want to have torn down. The city of Marietta requires this. He was very nice and did a great job. He took samples and sent them off and got back with me as soon as possible with the results so I can submit the findings. I highly recommend this company and Nathaniel read more

Nathaniel came to do a whole-house mold consultation. He was very prompt in both scheduling and arriving on time. He knows a lot about this stuff and is very thorough! He has extensive background with 30+ years of experience. He doesn't waste your money suggesting things you don't need. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see if they have mold issues. read more

We contacted Nathaniel to do a home environment assessment. We wanted to be sure our home didn't have any allergens or harmful substances. He did a thorough inspection and took several air samples. We were so impressed with his knowledge and expertise. He did find we had a mold problem in our basement (not toxic) and we had him come back and remove all of the ceiling tiles and grid from our drop ceiling in the basement. He and his assistant, Ron, worked tirelessly and removed every scrap of tile and grid. They sealed off the remainder of the house and made sure everything was done in an environmentally safe way. We've never seen two men work so hard and be so committed to doing everything perfectly. As others have said, Nathaniel is amazing! You don't see work ethic and honesty like this anymore. We highly recommend Echelon and Nathaniel. read more

Nathaniel is just amazing. From the second he entered our home he demonstrated INCREDIBLE knowledge of the field in both lead and asbestos testing. He has every certificate (qualified) and additionally has the experience of managing major abatement projects, so knew where to go, what to look for...all while educating us so we can learn the concerns, process, and tools to move forward. In addition, he's got a great eye for projects and gave us ideas we will be taking back to our interior designer...can't imagine a better experience. Sense of humor, honest, thoughtful, and quick communication, timely to the second. A joy to work with. read more

Quick response! Fantastic repair. Friendly service. We just moved into a home. As part of the inspection the inspector thought he saw mold on the garage doors. Upon move in I wanted to get this taken care of right away. I reached out to several providers on and off Yelp. Many quoted coming out simply to quote in 4-5 days. Nathaniel answered my call and was on-site in 30 minutes. Not only that his pricing was fantastic and he was able to do the service right away. I couldn't be more impressed!! read more

absolutely wonderful, professional service! I'd absolutely recommend Nathaniel. He's extremely responsive, professional and kind!

Echelon Environmental Enterprises is top notch. I had a concern about asbestos in my kitchen. Mr. Hardee came to my house to take samples, and he throughly explained the testing process to me. The results came back fast, and then he advised me on what I needed to do next to resolve the matter. Mr. Hardee is honest, and his prices are affordable. I am pleased with the service I received. read more

I had a home inspection and there was suspected asbestos tape. Nathaniel came highly recommended and we called him immediately. He was quick to respond and came the next day. He was kind, professional and knowledgable. He inspected the issue and put my mind at rest. We then asked for a radon test which he expedited on our behalf. Highly recommend if you are buying a home and have any concerns call Nathaniel to check your home! Thank you for your help! read more

I needed to have an evaluation for asbestos in my condo. Of course this was something that was worrisome for me as I had already been living there. Nathaniel was super quick to respond to me and came to pick up the samples that same day. I received the report results within two days. None found, yay!! I had used another company before for a mold check and while they were competent they lacked customer service skills and just general friendliness. I've also had to have some repair work done and it seems like so many home-related businesses are hard to get on the phone, hard to get invoices, and even harder to get them to come do the work. This was not the case here and he promptly returned my phone calls and gave me text followups. Would highly recommend. read more

A report following an inspection revealed mold and fungus in areas of our home, which was for sale. A mold/fungus specialist was brought in and compiled a lengthy and expensive detail and solution. A second opinion was sought. Nathaniel Hardee was recommended and he responded immediately...even texting to say he was running 10 minutes late for our appointment. It was clear that his knowledge, training and ethics...were the way to go. He thoroughly inspected the home, plotted a plan and later sent a detailed proposal. The areas were treated, the warranty and explanation delivered and the home is now ready for the closing. It is rare when someone exceeds expectations, is so pleasant to deal with...and provides a great sense of security that all is well. No one likes to hear they have mold/fungus...but delighted it provided the opportunity to meet Nathaniel. The world needs more Nathaniels! A good and decent man. Howard H. read more

Echelon Environmental was a lifesaver! I broke two mercury thermometers in my home, and I was afraid to let my young grandchildren (one is only 7 months old) come over due to any lingering mercury vapors. These vapors can be very harmful to children. Nathaniel Hardee, the owner of Echelon, came to my home and took air samples, which were sent to a lab to get certified results. He explained what he was doing and how the samples would be tested. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He took my concerns very seriously. The results showed mercury below threshold levels along with non-detectible levels. What a relief! Now I can have my grandchildren over and not worry. Thank you, Nathaniel! read more

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I called first thing in the morning panicked about getting a lead test done and he answered right away. He was very accommodating about scheduling and offered me two available time slots. When the results were ready at the lab, he called me to let me know and then delivered the report via email. I called two companies before calling him - the first was going to charge over $2000 for the same service - the second no longer offered lead testing as part of their service offering, they recommended I call Nathaniel at Echelon Environmental. The test was done on a Saturday and he called with results Tuesday afternoon. Very grateful for this professional experience and the ability to make a informed decision during my due diligence period. read more

Nathaniel Hardee is a man of his word!! It is so rare to find companies who put their clients needs above all else! He answered all 100 questions I had with patience and compassion Nathaniel took his time to look at every detail and inspect every wall I even had questions while he was on a vacation and he gave his time to do so. If you want customer service at its finest call him. read more

I called Nathaniel after another contractor found suspected asbestos tape in our crawl space. Nathaniel was at my home within 2 hours and tested the materials at a price that was the best of all the many companies I called. He arrived on time and was professional, courteous, and competent. Most impressively, he managed to help turn around what was shaping up to be a terrible day with his good nature and kindness. I plan to continue with them for the abatement of any issues his testing uncovers and would highly recommend him! read more

Recently my wife and I were under contract on a house built in 1955 and wanted to get the home tested for asbestos since many homes built pre-1980 contain asbestos. We tried calling many of the different asbestos abatement companies around Atlanta and most of them charged over $700 to come and test some of the building materials in the house that were frequently made with asbestos back in the day. The last company I called was Echelon Environmental Enterprises and was surprised and extremely thankful after I had talked to Nathaniel Hardee Jr. Our due diligence period was ending 4 days after I had called Nathaniel and he went out of his way on a Saturday afternoon about 3 hours after I called him to come take samples from the home to test for asbestos. He had the sample test results back just a little over a day later and only charged not much over $400 (and that included expidited lab testing and results). His customer service was excellent. Nathaniel took his time and was in no rush whatsoever even though it was on his Saturday afternoon that he gave up to help us beat our due diligence period that was ending shortly. He walked my wife and I throughout the entire home, crawl space and attic while taking samples and explaining anything we wanted to know about the home's structure. He has been in the business for over 20 years and is an expert in his field. With a Civil Engineering degree and an Environmental Science degree, he answered every question we were worried about in great detail. Asbestos is a scary thing that many people and their families are living in. Since my sister-in-laws grandparents both died from lung cancer from living in a house with many materials that contained asbestos, my family is very cautious when it comes to asbestos. All of the samples that Nathaniel took to the lab for us came back negative, and now we can live in peace knowing unseen asbestos fibers aren't there to hurt my wife and our future family, while getting to enjoy a beautiful home built in the 50's. I HIGHLY recommend Nathaniel Hardee Jr. at Echelon Environmental Enterprises! He also does other types of testing, including mold and air qualitity and is an expert with anything to do with houses. He has been in construction his entire life and his Civil Engineering degree doesn't hurt either. read more

After having so many negative experiences with several contractors dealing with improving my home, I finally met a company that is professional and keeps their word regarding time and price. The professional from Echelon Environmental came to my house when he said he would, explained the equipment he would be using, and further explained what he was looking for and showed me where any issues may be and what happens next regarding my inspection report. I am confident that he went through my house looking at all the walls and floors and pointed out to me any potential issues. I was really impressed with his friendly disposition as I pointed out places I wanted him to look at both upstairs and downstairs. Finally, there were no surprises when it was time to pay for his services. He was patient with me and answered all my questions clearly and concisely. I will definitely use this company if I need to in the future as well as recommend them to all my friends and family. read more
