This is not the company you want at your home no matter how bad your septic issue is. We had our Septic tank pumped just over a year ago after a back-up caused a toilet to overflow. Septic Blue came out and pumped the overflowing tank along with some other repairs and claimed all other aspects of the system were in good order.  Flash forward to last night we find a flooded basement bathroom, hallway, bedroom, and storage. We had to file an insurance claim to replace hardwood floors, sheetrock, and carpet. All of this was caused by another back up due to an overfilled septic tank that needed to be pumped again. Typically routine maintenance is every 5 years without issues. We called Septic Blue out again to inspect and see what the issue was and check on the previous workmanship. Only to find out that everything would be at full price despite such a recent service. The techs dug up the tank only enough to pump out the contents and were able to discern that the drainage field was not functioning properly. They concluded that it needed remediation or a complete replacement. Why was this not assessed on the initial visit when they dug up considerably more of the tank and completed more extensive repairs? There was no mention of potential issues with the drainage field.  We paid them $500 today for the pumping and then they presented a bandaid solution ensuring future failure by remediating that drainage field for $7000. The more suitable option would be to fix it for good with a complete replacement which they proudly quoted at $13,000 that I now know to be $3000-$4000 over the competition. I don't even want to know that the overage is on the remediation.  I spoke with the very knowledgable field manager and he added some additional education to what I learned from the tech today. But despite the extensive experience of all reps and the manager, the initial solution provided failed and cost me. Septic Blue took no ownership of the issue and only proceeded to attempt to pull more money out of me and my family. So now here we sit wasting over $4000 on both visits and a pending insurance deductible with what I am sure will cause an increase to our premiums. Before I continue my search for a more competent company that stands by their work to finally get this fixed I have to go clean up the mud they left all over my sidewalk and driveway. First, I contacted Septic Blue to have my septic tank pumped for their reported price of $149 plus their required $49.95 dispatch fee. This was agreed to by Septic Blue and an appointment was made for the next day's 11 am to 2 pm service window. I was told and received an email saying I would receive a call approximately an hour prior to dispatch to confirm service. As of 1:30pm on the day of service, I had heard nothing from Septic Blue so I sent an email reply to their initial email reminding them of the scheduled service and asking to be updated regarding my appointment. I almost immediately received a reply saying the truck was dispatched and who the serviceman was (Joseph Powe). That was followed shortly by their phone call to confirm I was at home for service. Joseph arrived at 2:50pm, 50 minutes after the end of the agreed upon service window. That was very inconvenient because we had other plans that evening and we were now going to be delayed from getting to those plans. However, that was not the worst of it! Once the tank was opened, Joseph refused to perform the services as previously agreed to and immediately began to "up-sale" the work to be performed. His "sales act" started with scraping his shovel around the top edge of the tank opening, identifying 1 to 2 millimeters of dirt build up and saying this "proves there is a problem." Imagine that, a tank that collects waste water and human excrement on a consistent basis has a couple of millimeters of dirt build around its edge - what a joke! From there, according to Joseph, the 8 or 9 inches of soft sludge buildup at the top of the tank was just too much for him to pump the tank as was previously agreed to at the time of making the service appointment and he would have to work "very hard" to break it up before he could pump the tank. This change resulted in a job that was to cost a total of approximately $200 to an amount well over $500! Being disillusioned with this more than doubling of the cost, I immediately called Septic Blue's customer service to inquire as to why the service was now not going to be performed as originally agreed to and seek some resolution. However, the customer service rep was very uncooperative taking the side of his serviceman turned salesman saying "he knows what he's doing" which seemed to indicate that this is customary for Septic Blue to quote one price at scheduling and then "up-sale" the job upon arrival. At that point, I declined service because I was not going to be "ripped-off" and requested my tank be covered and my yard restored to its original condition. However, returning my yard to its original condition was not satisfactory, but I let it go because I was ready for Septic Blue to leave my property! I am totally disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by the serviceman and other employees of Septic Blue that I spoke with. A "one star" rating for Septic Blue too high...they deserve a "no stars" rating! Which other companies do not charge for. $$ then they start adding additional items, trying to talk you into an inspection of your whole system $$$, they try selling you a product to help with the breakdown of contents. You think you will be paying about $275 but you end up paying much much more. Luckly I through a fit the minute he said he had to charge for the Cake on top to be broken up. Two weeks ago I started seeking price quotes to pump my 1000 gal septic tank. When I contacted septic blue I was quoted 3 times from the female rep answering their phone they charge $149. After listening to here full routine speel she asked me, a retired , disabled educator if I had any further questions, to which I immediately replied YES! Did I hear you correctly and understand you say multiple times " you will pump my septic for $150?? Her reply : Yes, pump and inspect your tank".; to which I scheduled the appointment for the following Tuesday! Upon arrival the technician quickly responded to my quoted price saying " she should have never said that" and continued to add all other possible additional costs NEVER mentioned in my initial scheduling phone conversation"!! This company almost cost a real estate deal to terminate. They scared the homebuyer to death making her think she had to spend $3,280 on services for a bad septic tank. The services they tried to upsale her on were all diagnostic services and nothing was to fix an actual problem because there was no problem. Zach Czechowicz showed up and only opened the back tank and never opened the front tank. He tried to sell the buyer hydrojetting services for the line that comes from the house to the front tank (as well as other services). He never even flushed the toilet to see if there was an issue. And even if he had flushed the toilet, he would not have known if it was working properly because he never opened the lid. And....he told the client that there was fecis in the back tank when it was merely sludge which is normal. He also stated the tank was overfilling which suggested an issue but the water level was 8-10 inches below the lid. COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! I called Independant Septic and they came out the very next morning, they expalined everything to the buyer and seller as they opened both lids, they pumped the tank, sent cameras down the lines and flushed to toilets to show everything was working properly. I would give this company a 0 rating but I can't. I called to have my septic pumped and my pump replaced. They gave me an initial fee of $149 to pump and a $49 service fee. Tech came out and pumped the liquid tank, not the solid tank. Called me downstairs to tell me that my pump was bad (I knew this, told them that on the phone) and that I had two options of replacement. One being $8500 for their best pump, or the other being $6900 for the cheaper option. There was no way I was going to pay that much for a pump so I said no thanks. Tech tells me the bill will be $439 for the work they did. I ask why, he says they had to pump more than 1000 gallons because the tank was overfilled. I have a 1000 gallon tank and they only pumped one side. Plus, if it was going to be more they should have gotten me and advised of the extra charges before doing the work. So, I had another company come out, Brownlee if anyone in the Griffin area is in need of septic work, they are incredible. They quoted $1200 to pump both tanks, replace the septic pump, move the wiring outside of the tank (Septic Blue wouldn't do this, told me I needed an electrician) and put an alarm on the pole where they added the outlet (I never had one from the time we moved into the house) . They quoted me on Thursday, were out on Saturday and did the work in 2 maybe 3 hours and were gone. The owner of the company even gave us a discount because I was telling him how we were treated by Septic Blue and he also noticed my wife was going through Chemo (Breast cancer and his wife had gone through the same thing) . He did all that work for an even $1000 dollars. I called Septic Blue to ask about the charges and they backed everything their tech had told me. My wife called back and they said they would have a manager review the file and call back. After a week, I still had not received a call back. Called again and customer service again said that they would have a manager review the file and call me back. This time a manager called me back in a couple hours. He again backed the tech and advised this was common practice among septic companies to charge for having to pump a tank that was over full. I asked why there charges were so much higher than others, he said that company must be using cheap pumps and that they use pumps that have stainless steel internals and are top of the line. I asked how long they warranty their pumps for and he said two years. Brownlee warrantied their "cheap" pump for 3 years. He also said that to be doing that work at that price is like someone giving me the "best friend discount." And that they probably won't be in business in the next 2 years doing work that cheap. But, that's how they have been in business so long. Doing good work at good prices and having repeat customers and having those customers spread the word. Unlike Septic Blue who are a bunch of crooks. Long story short, this company is going to rip you off. I ordered a pump out due to the very low "bait" cost of $140. When they arrived, they found thousands of dollars of work. They mentioned it had to be done or else the county could force me to buy a 1000-gallon tank. After paying over $4000 to repair a working septic tank that was only 70% full, I was asked to sign a dirty tablet with a busted screen. I made the mistake of trusting what the person said and not what was in writing. After many phone calls, I was able to obtain an itemized statement/receipt that showed a charge for over $800 to remove a (small, less than 1 year) shrub that I was "told" would be a courtesy and "Oh don't worry about that shrub, I've got you". I had no recourse to prove this because I trusted the person and signed without being able to see what I was signing. The septic continues to work well, the same as before the pump out, but I was robbed of $800, maybe more. The shrub was unauthorized and the pump out was $140, and the rest of the $087 was for a "baffle T" (?). They made $4000 in one hour that day. For today's scheduled visit I received an email reminder yesterday about the 8-11 am window. I called them at 10:30 am after not hearing from anyone. After using this company to empty our septic tank a couple of times, I called again today as it appears the tank needs to be drained again. After booking an appointment online I received a text telling me that they would NOT clean our tank until we replaced the drain field. It is likely that there is some damage to the drain lines, possible tree roots. However, it is well over $20,000 to replace the lines, never mind the cost of refurbishing the recently done landscape. How dare they tell me that they would not drain our tank unless we spend that kind of money, presumably with them. Not a chance and I would not recommend them to anyone. My experience was ok. I'm not keen to the $149 price on the website because nobody pays that low. The fine print tells you that immediately that there is an additional $39.95 dispatch fee so why not just start at $188.95? Also, if you want any maintenance (replacement of parts, tank cleaning, leach field cleared) it will be a lot more. I had an outlet baffle (which looks like a PVC Tee pipe) replaced which took about 2 minutes to do and charged over $400. To be honest, I've had septic services in the past GET IN THE TANK to clean it. Now that is worth paying $ for!! Septic Blue is a rip-off and they tried to rip me off a second time. On August 15 I utilized the Trust Dale network to find a septic tank company to investigate and fix a problem with my septic tank. They came out, investigated the problem, and performed a fix that included pumping the septic tank and jetting the main line. The sewage in the septic tank was high so there was not an opportunity for the main line to drain. The technician did not even notice that there was water in the main line until I pointed it out to him. (and there would have been water in there anyway because the septic tank was full and there was no place for the main line to drain). But then he used the opportunity to tell me that I needed it jetted. I wondered at the time that it would have flowed freely once the septic tank was pumped, but I just wanted it fixed. So, I agreed to have him jet the line and pump the tank. He later told me during that visit on August 15th and again during my visit today that pumping the tank is the first thing that is done to diagnose any issue. But since I pointed it out to the technician he used that opportunity to make more money. No worries. At least I would have the whole thing fixed. I agreed to pay for the main line jetting and to pump the septic tank before ANY work had been done. But based on what the technician told me today and previously that the septic tank should have been pumped before the need for any additional services were diagnosed and identified. I firmly believe that the main line would have flowed freely once the tank was pumped. He performed the service. When asked, he told me that he had completely fixed the problem and that he had checked further to ascertain that my drainage/distribution lines from the septic tank were working properly. After that discussion I became bothered that what I stated about the main line led him to sell me additional services that I probably didn't need and followed up with the company for a further explanation. Again, since I did not have proof and was happy that my issue was fixed, I did not pursue it further beyond a call to Septic Blue where I asked for further explanation. They confirmed that the pumping of the septic tank is the first step in diagnosis. I let it be. Six weeks later I noticed sewage seeping from the top of the cover. The main line access drain thingy did not pop, so I know that my main line was still flowing freely. I called Septic Blue and scheduled an appointment for earlier today. The same technician came out and opened up the cover. He wanted $444 to pump the tank again so that he could determine the problem. On their website they say it is $249.00 to pump a 1500 gallon tank, and that is what I paid previously for his August 15th visit. The total cost of my August 15th visit was $623.91, which included the $334.96 hydro jet of the main line and the dispatch fee, so why he wanted $444.00 to pump it today I do not understand. I believe that the pumping of the tank that he suggested today should have been included under their warranty since that simple act only gets me back to where I was after his August 15th visit. Even though I complained about it to him, I would have let him pump it if it were for the $249.00 price that I paid before, but I just felt at that point that he was trying to gouge me as he did before. The technician pointed out to me in the original invoice that he stated that the previous problem was the main drain, but that was not the case at all and I believe he 'slanted' the way he wrote the invoice to justify the original gouging. But today he used that to try to justify that I needed to pay for another pumping of the septic tank. Again, despite my concerns, I was going to allow him pump the tank at the original price of $249 - just to get it done. The other reason I believe that the original jetting line item is a 'gouge' is because it took him a total of no more than 20 minutes to jet the main line AND pump the septic tank Jetting took all of 2 minutes, maybe. Again, once the septic tank was pumped the main line would likely have flown free - no jetting necessary. Since they were part of the Trust Dale network I felt that they could be trusted. They cannot be trusted. So, I will opt to find someone else to provide my septic tank services in the future. Also, I think they use this price to mislead people because once a homeowner has spent that amount (small compared to other companies), the homeowner is already vested in the repair and will likely go forward with paying for other services. I realize that the technician may have made a mistake in stating that my tank was working properly on August 15th. But I also felt that I should not have to pay the price to get the point where where additional diagnosis could be performed. I suspect that they will have several other complaints about them since this seems to be the way that this technician does business. read more

Horrible crooks that prey on everyday hard workers' inexperience of septic systems. We had a $5,000 exit pipe reinstalled in April of 2020 and our tank was pumped with Septic Blue by Mr. Moyer. At the time we were very happy as this appeared to fix the problem only to soon find out we were hoodwinked. A year later April of 2021 we experienced the same problem and called Septic Blue to address the issue. Mr. Moyer came back out and said now we need our entire drain field fixed for $20,000. With that being the case we just had the system pumped for $378. A year later March of 2022 we hired a new company to figure out what is going on. They said the tank didn't look like it had been pumped in over ten years (we had it pumped twice by Septic Blue in the last two years). Furthermore, the $5K exit drain they installed had fallen apart and wasn't even glued together correctly. These reviews (review after review of them being not trustworthy) do not lie. I don't know where to start. It so happened that we're building a pool on my property. Unfortunately, we had to relocate the septic pipes and install a pump tank, as well as flag the areas where the pipes currently run and the repair field. I searched the internet for companies that do this work and came across septic blue. They had good reviews and feedback, so I immediately sent an inquiry through their website. The next day, I received an SMS asking me to call a specific phone number. I called and spoke with a very nice lady who probably didn't understand me due to my accent and gave me an email address. I sent an email with attached documents and requested a quote. However, I haven't received any response from them for the past 2 weeks, no matter how many emails I send. Today, I decided to send an SMS and this was the response I received. I had a very poor experience with this company. They quoted me a price of $149.00 to pump out a 1,000 gallon septic tank. When they opened the tank and did their inspection, they suggested that I authorize them to make $3,300.00 in repairs. When I declined the repairs and requested just the $149.00 pump out, that stated that the pump out would now cost $595.00 because the tank was so full. Terrible customer service!! Quoted $210 over the phone to drain my septic tank, thought this was a good deal so scheduled for their next opening. However once they arrived they then told me it was going to be nearly $1,000 to drain it!!! WTF!?! Called the office and spoke to manager who claimed to be completely in charge who stated had no idea what pricing model they used.... ok seriously, no one in the office knows what the company charges?? Called Mr. Rooter to assist with identifying Septic lines in our yard. After a little wrangling around scheduling someone to be at the house, Chris W showed up from Septic Blue. He was courteous, knowledgeable provided me an education on septic systems as this was the first home I owned that had one. I would have rated the experience a Five Stars except Mr. Rooter's scheduling kept us waiting an extra day - no reflection on the technician who serviced our system. read more

I would not recommand Septic Blue. They will rip you OFF!!.i called them for the appointment and given a quote of $149. I thought i would get the best deal of the town for my septic pumping for $149.. while other would charge you $599. The day came, the tech was very nice. Before he started digging. he told me that i was charged $49.95 for digging. so if i changed my mind or not using the service. They would charged me $250. What that heck!!! then he digged then open lid.. he said.. to bump it it would cost me the total of $650. so now.. what could i do? the online quote was for septic pumbing $149 for 1 thousand gallon.. so from $149 jump to $650 for septic pumping.. what a rip off!!! to cancel i would have paid $250 or get it pumped i had to pay $650. so i had no choice to let him to do it. so after he pumped.. he said.. hey you go to clean the pipe.. i said what now? another rip off! he said.. you have use hdyro jet cleaning to clean the pipe..i asked him how much .. he said $334.96. then i said.. ok.. got head and do it.. so from $149 for septic pumping..then it would jump to $983.56. STAY AWAY. IN FACT, RUN!!! If I could give this company zero stars I would. They start by making you believe a basic septic clean out is $250. Wrong. We were told (after our yard was dug up) a basic clean out with nothing special included would be $3,000. The man commented on how shallow our tank was (less than a foot under ground) and he continued to charge us an "extra deep" fee. He left and we paid over $2000. After looking at my emailed receipt I noticed that he had FORGED MY SIGNATURE on the liability paperwork. After calling to ask for an itemized receipt to find out what actually cost so much and confront them about the forged document they told me the manager would call me back and, of course, he never did. I called a few more times and got the run around. No one was able to tell me what actually cost so much and no one was able to tell me why my signature had been forged. We will be taking legal action. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this company. STEER CLEAR!! read more
