Almost every seat was filled when we arrived, but we only had to wait about 15 min for people to finish and make space for us. It's such a cute little shop! However, if you more than a couple people in your group, try to make a reservation in advance. The previous to make the fragrance was really cool. The associate who helped us listened and made helpful recommendations that resulted in us making the perfect fragrance. Is really cool too that every custom scent is saved in their database, so if you ever want to get more out make the scent into a soap, lotion, spray, etc, they can recreate it for you. 10/10 recommend!

Diptyque Georgetown was one of the most disappointing retail experiences I've had. I visited for…read morecandle refills and stood in the store for over 15 minutes without being acknowledged. One sales associate eventually helped me after finishing with another customer, which I appreciated. However, two other associates behind the counter did not acknowledge me at all. What made the situation particularly concerning was that when white customers entered the store, they were immediately greeted and assisted. As a Black customer, the difference in treatment felt noticeable and uncomfortable. At a brand like Diptyque--where customer experience is part of the product--this kind of disparity is unacceptable. I've visited Diptyque locations in multiple countries and have never experienced this level of disregard. This visit felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and it has significantly changed my perception of this location.

They also do some work with crystals, Reiki, and sound baths, which isn't my thing but may be really helpful to others. I had the manual lymphatic drainage facial - which is a quick facial followed by a very thorough face massage intended to address puffiness and dullness in the skin. I enjoyed my service very much. The facial was very relaxing, and the space (minimalist, clean, and bright) added to that experience. I live in Baltimore, where prices for just about everything are much lower than in DC, so Take Care was a bit of a splurge compared to the facials I get at home. But it was a treat, and it really did feel like I was taking extra good care of myself during the stressful holiday season. I probably couldn't do facials at Take Care too often, but I would happily return for future services to treat myself. My birthday is coming up!!
