K nails and wax is the best nail salon, her work is fabulous!! Salon is beautiful, prices are affordable.

    Josh B.

Once again, I got pulled into shopping in a mall with my friend and as soon as we got into the mall she made a B-line right to Sephora. I'll never understand why people want to spend $$ to buy make up but I guess people have been doing it for ages and to each his or her own. So the general set up is just rows of seemingly endless makeup and cleansing products and colognes and cremes and brushes separated by makeup stations where some of the workers help to apply the latest and greatest on your face. We went on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly it was like busy in spurts. It felt like it was elbow to elbow for a minute. All the mirrors were taken up by one to three people trying to put on as much "free" makeup as possible and then scatter like ants. I was also surprised by the amount of guys in there getting their makeup done or cramming palette after palette of make up on and leaving without paying for anything. Also lord help the one makeup artist on the floor trying to balance consulations and mixing samples and answering questions. Tell me why there were like 5 people on the register and there was only like 3 registers? Get out on the floor and help people. My friend, who seriously needed help finding the right color and collection to use had to wait until the one girl on the floor, who was very busy but looked like she was calmly and gently inhaling and exhaling the tide of customers rushing in an out, was done helping a guy with his brows. Everyone just putting make up on without using the proper applicators or their fingers, which I think is highly unsanitary and somewhat gross. One girl nearby took a lipstick right off the shelf, already uncapped mind you, and put it on. The lipstick looked like it was melty and had lip crusties on it before, and then she goes and basically puts it on like she's sucking on a popsicle. Get it together....please. Also, there was an odd smell, not quite perfume, not quite B.O, not quite Bath and Body Works. Anyway with everyone hogging the mirrors trying to make them beautiful but possibly making themself look worse than when they came in, this place seems like not a place for serious beauty gurus. It's pricey but that's the price people will pay for just the hope.

I'm a new client here, and Bae's did not disappoint…read more Scheduling was very easy with confirmation the day before to ensure you'll be there for your appointment. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and kept the place clean and sparkly. Kim did an amazing job on my facial making my skin well hydrated, smooth, and tight. I also got a couple of skin tags removed, which start at $10 depending on how small or large they are. Numbing cream is given prior to the service and Kim walked me through the process as we went. During the facial, I was also offered leg compressions while I laid down. It felt great! The facility also has skin care products for sale, which I have on hand, so it's nice to know I'm using a recommended product. They also provide microblading, eyelash extensions and lifts, and much more! Find them in the same plaza as H-mart tucked near the corner. Have a relaxing self-care day for yourself here!

When we showed up we were warmly greeted and prompty taken into the treatment rooms. I wish they put us in the same room, because it turned out there was a second treatment area in my room which another guest was started there near the end of my treatment. My facial started with cleaning my face, then a hot towel treatment followed by steam treatment and face massage. They also have these leg massagers which inflate and deflate after they zip your legs into them. I kind of wish she told me which serums she was using but also I was kind of glad to lay back and relax, and trust in her process. I have had prior facials elsewhere where they had told me every product used in an effort to upsell me. Then came the blackhead extractions and more creams, then the cooling mask and final hot towel, more serums and sunscreen. My face felt rejuvenated! My spot treatment was for a tiny mole on my upper back. They first applied numbing cream then zapped it at the end of my procedure. Very quick and it stung for only a short while, like she said. I will be back!

I'm such a huge fan of this store. You can get your victory rolls here for $1. Super cute, fancy…read morehead bands for $12 with veils and all kinds of cool stuff. They have three aisles of wigs....which I've never really been in the need of or wanted until I saw all the styles and prices. I may be going here more frequently and may start a wig collections. That sounds weird but with prices like this and how super hot I look as a permed blond I'm not really sure I'll be able to stop myself. Especially since I'm never going to get a real perm! They have very hip sunglasses too. I bought a pair of amber and gold framed faded lense sun glasses from this shop and get compliments on them all the time. WOOT.

I was in the way back corner unable to even steal something if I could and not even 5 minutes into the visit the second I touched the hair he felt the need to come around the corner and stand closely and watch me. After asking him how I could help him he told me I couldn't take the hair off the mannequin to look at it.... Which is odd. After a few more moments , he came back asking if I needed help. To which I said NO. Will be sticking to TJs in South Tacoma over this any day. To profile black women when we are your main source of income is crazy.

Miniso is probably the store version of the Japanese word "kawaii", which basically translates to…read more"cute". It is similar to Daiso imo, but it has much more of a focus on cute things and brand collabs like Barbie, Pokemon, and Snoopy. Whereas Daiso is more like a general store featuring more basic things that fall under $2.50. [Quality/Costs]-- most of the items seem to be under $10. The lunchbox I got is not only sturdy, but it has a lot of perks for something that is only $9.90. [Variety]--they have lots of different items such as body sprays and perfumes, makeup, nail care, household supplies like house shoes and toothbrushes, tumblers, water bottles, small purses and wallets, and etc that are generally along the cutesy theme. [Location]--it's inside the Tacoma Mall. The store is super bright and it was fairly clean for how many people were jammed in there. [Service]--the employees were fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either.

To be honest probably the reason why I love Miniso is for their candy selection. They have lots of…read morecandy that are popular over in Asia here. Hi-Chews can be found here and anymore it at least it feels like they can be found anywhere but these candies which I effectively have my fondness directed towards instead of Starburst also have Gummi versions of their candy. Now those you don't see as much of. But probably an even bigger draw is the Hello Kitty marshmallows which has a gel filled center. I didn't think I found anything more addictive than Hi-Chews but these definitely take the top spot. You can get Green Tea, Chocolate, Strawberry and I believe Mango flavors. I really liked the Strawberry and Green Tea jelly ones. If I am not careful and my sense of moderation is weak I can finish a package of these marshmallows much faster than a Hi-Chew bag and that too is a pig out experience as well. Anyway I do like the candy selection here and it's conveniently located in the Tacoma Mall.
