While I was not really in the mood for a Korean corn dog, I did see that they had japchae on their menu and wanted some of that. Parking was a bit difficult, but I did eventually find some parking about a half block away. I was greeted after a moment and was sadly informed that I could not have the dish I wanted. Unfortunately, the japchae sells out early, apparently. So instead, I ordered a chedda split with OG crust and an order of Mandu. The restaurant, although a bit of a hole in the wall, was lively and lots of people were waiting for takeout and eat in orders. After a few minutes, a friendly host just brought out my meal. Sauce bar is awesome! Lots of surprising choices! Brazilian Limeade was smooth and tart - tasted similar to a Key Lime Pie. We had the 3 pack for $15. All Mozz split half cheese half dog but not like a half slice of a dog along side a cheese stick. More like a block of cheese on one end and a hot dog chunk on the other. Roommate brought one home. He said if he was to take them togo he would do that all dog. The cheese didn't travel as well. The cheese side was WAY better fresh from the fryer. Small restaurant area but not busy. Went to Seoul Stix and not a fan. I've had these Korean Corndogs from places in SoCal and the choice of wiener in these were the beef hotdogs from Costco. Ehhh not a fan. My potato crust was a bit well done for my taste. And the young guys sitting on the prep tables on the back with their butts is definitely gross. read more

This is a fun place. I've always wanted to try Korean hotdogs and it delivered what I think was pretty authentic. Lots of fun options, and the dogs tasted hot and fresh. Really appreciated all the cool dipping sauces, loved the wasabi and the garlic parm. Give the sugar, ketchup, mustard a chance, there's a clear reason it's a fave. This Korean street food is DA BOMB!!! The woman behind the counter was extremely helpful (sister of the owner?), and made suggestions that helped us nail down what we wanted. The sauces added just that much MORE flavor and it was fun experimenting with them. We had the Spicy Korean, the Wasabi Ranch, and the Mustard Cheese (like we needed more CHEEEEEESE!). The combination of flavors and textures made for a wonderful eating experience. Would LOVE to come back here and try more dogs! read more

The restaurant ambience is kind a cross between an Instagram cafe and a cafeteria. We took our food Togo. The Brazilian Limeade was the best thing we ordered. Tart, sweet, and creamy. Very refreshing. Everything else we ordered was fried. Which is implied with the type of food it is. The rice sticks were fine. I felt they were a hair over cooked, but had a nice crunch. The sauce was sweet and spicy. The corndogs were HUGE. We got two that were 1/2 cheese and 1/2 dog (potato and the other Cheetos) and one OG Hotdog. They were all very heavy, they have some weight to them. Especially the potato one. It's a lot of fried food. Definitely not something one could eat regularly. But it's really for the Instagram pic-at least that's what I think. The flavors are okay, the hotdog doesn't seem to be high quality. The half cheese and half hotdog I found the cheese to be too much cheese. I just don't think they are for me. I get the draw for people and the novelty of the place. read more

A fun new restaurant in downtown Medford. While at Beer works across the street, I noticed this new restaurant directly in front of us. There were a ton of fun corn dog options to try. I enjoyed the OG fried with Panko on the outside and it was even hand tossed with a outer layer of sugar! The restaurant was extremely busy on a Saturday night, but the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and kind. The interior of the restaurant had a cool vibe with a nice photo booth and a variety of lights. I'd love to visit again for a fun late night bite! read more

The service here is really friendly but slooooow, so don't plan on a quick trip. The options all look amazing and given the decor'd photo booth, you're really coming here for an instagram photo op, not a flavor explosion. The creativity and again how everything looked coming out was really impressive, but I just wasn't blown away by the flavors. Only exception was the sauces which were great and available at the bar for self-serve. Try them all - they're all really good. The corn dogs are all variations of fried stuff and spice, but the dogs and the batter were fully cooked which was appreciated. All drink options cost $$, no free tap water (cited an issue w/old pipes) so plan for that. Also, one corn dog is plenty for an adult and more than enough for a kid if you get a side of fries too. Its a fun place to try but maybe call ahead to the cath lab. read more

Kay and I had something new and different for lunch yesterday in Downtown Medford, Korean corm-dogs. Yes you read that right. Apparently it is supposed to be a "thing" in South Korean "street" cuisine. It is usually a normal hot dog on a stick that is then rolled in dough (don't know if it is corn meal or not). But there the semblance to anything you might have in mind when you hear the term "corn-dog" ends. Then the doughed up wieners on a stick are rolled in one of a selection of additional "coatings": (panko breadcrumbs, dried ramen noodle bits, Flamin' Hot Cheeto crumbles, diced up potato fries, or sweet potato fries. This concoction is then deep fried and (optionally) rolled in sugar. When handed to you, you then take it to the extensive condiments bar which has an array of all the usual suspects (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.) and several more unusual (Asian) sweet and spicy sauces on offer. The place sort of caters to an obviously younger demographic (lots of blinking lights and over-loud hip-hop music) but Kay and I are always suckers to try anything new(ish) that tries to do something new and different in Medford. As a non-meat option, you can replace the wiener with a stick of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar, I think) or even a half and half version of the 2 cheeses or half wiener half cheese. Drinks are the usual array of sodas or a refreshing creamy Brazilian Limeade. I opted for the potato fries with limeade and Kay got the sweet potato version with a cola. I slathered mine in all sorts of sauces, and she got each of her sauces in little paper cups and daintily tried each. At the end we were both full. Just one Korean corn-dog is enough for a meal. Well worth the little bit of a wait (these things don't make themselves I guess) and a little bit of fun in (normally boring) downtown Meh d'ford. read more
