You're allowed to pick out of the nice selection of records they have while you wait for your food, and they'll put it on for ya. My toddler always gets the cup of noodles, just noodles and broth for the kiddo, and she's a happy camper. My favorite is the Shoyu with pork belly. The pork belly melts in your mouth and the bone broth is delicious. The soft boiled tamari egg is so good, I usually get 2. The desserts switch out frequently! 100% Deliciousness! Natalie was our chef and server- my wife and I sat and watched her prepare our meal. I believe I had the Ramen Tonkotsu with Pork...just superb, and my wife had the Ramen Carbonara. Natalie was so nice and friendly and helpful with the menu for us first timers....but we adapted FAST. The ambiance is so cute and homey. My only dig was not the business, but the band that started up outside just as the Wings' RAM album on the turntable was getting good. We love Cafenadabar (Café Nada Bar & Noodle House) in GP, next to The Haul on H St. We always try to go during off hours to avoid the crowds and to have a spot open to be seated. It's tight inside, but that's actually part of the charm of this place. The vibe reminds me of the little street-side "stand-up" eateries, or small ramen shops in Japan called "Ramen-ya" (ラーメン屋), made famous in the capital city of Fukuoka. Here at Nada Bar, the intimate, casual atmosphere allows patrons to eat while interacting with the chef (owner Twon) where you can watch him prepare each dish in front of you. We had two amazing entrees of his made-to-order noodle bowls recently, one with broth and one without. Both were served in nice ceramic bowls, not plastic! The top image shows their amazing "Ramen Carbonara" (no broth). It was a nice Italian/Japanese fusion dish of tender ramen noodles, grated Parmesan, Sriracha mayo, gochujang, crispy pork nuggets, an over-easy fried egg and chopped scallions to finish. It hits with a smoky, porky note that fades into a rich eggy creaminess that has the sweet balanced with heat perfectly ($18). The lower photo shows their beautifully plated "House Tonkotsu Ramen" (with broth). We ordered it with plancha-griddled slices of tasty pork, that were brushed with a rich soy glaze and came plated over a generous portion of noodles. The dish was topped with some house-fermented kimchi, a whole tamari egg (4 minute soft center), chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds. This one had a nice garlic punch that eased off into an umami-infused broth, that had just enough salt to wake the palate without going overboard IYKWIM ($15). We also had an order of their home-made dumplings (gyoza) that were pan-fried to achieve that crisp bottom, a traditional preparation in Japan. They were filled with minced mushrooms, kimchi, ginger and secret spices. They were also very good and paired well with our noodle bowls ($8). If you go, you should try their house-crafted sodas too. We had their raspberry & pomegranate blend as well as their root beer, both were lightly carbonated and very refreshing. It's so nice to have this "hidden gem" (please forgive the cliché) here in GP. Kick ass food with great vibes and great staff (including Sailor the lil doggo). This spot reminded me so much of Japan, and even had vinyl records playing, which added to the vibes even more. UGH take me back... if not to Japan, then Cafe Nadabar. Chef Twon has really got the perfect setup with the perfect vision going. Unique experience fun vibe. Ordered 2 bowls of ramen; one pesto, one carbonara. The pesto was not super good for $18 a bowl I would have expected a bigger amount. The carbonara was delicious tho. I have been here twice now and both times were an 11/10 experience! The owner is super duper nice. The ambiance is amazing, there is a disco ball, a vintage record player that plays the restaurants music. There is a type writer available to type kind messages and you can pin the to the wall. Art supplies so you can draw or color while you eat. They have house crafted sodas (highly recommend the green tea soda). Prices are reasonable given the quality, taste and atmosphere. First time I went here food was amazing. I ordered the bang bang chicken and rice. So much food I had to take some home. Went back there again ordered the same thing to go and paid 22 dollars for a soda and the smallest serving of food. The Togo box was the Chinese small boxes. Funky eclectic tiny shop with huge flavor and great service! The house ramen was amazing, the chicken so tender it melts in your mouth, perfect amount of heat, and kimchi topping was flavorful. Delicious! Best noodle place in Grants Pass. I haven't had any other dishes or drinks from there, but the Coconut Curry Noodles and the Spicy Peanut Noodles are the best. Large portions, too. AND you can get both with tofu. Many choices for us veggie heads. read more

Portions are generous and the prices mostly feel fair for what you get. The soft-boiled eggs were the standout, perfectly cooked and easily the best part of the bowl. My biggest complaint was the pork. What was advertised as pork was actually just ham, not pork belly, which was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise solid ramen. The space itself is definitely tight, with very limited seating, but it still manages to have a good atmosphere. It feels lively and welcoming rather than uncomfortable, even when it's full. I saw a review for this place on Facebook and was so excited to try it! My husband and I took our daughter and it was amazing! We had the ramen carbonara and the spicy ramen! And their house made sodas were refreshing and didn't feel heavy like a normal soda. Natalie was the cook and she was amazing as well and answered all of our questions we had with it being new for us! We went to the restaurant based on all of the very positive reviews. We got the Tonkatsu ramen, spicy peanut noodles, and the house Korean pork kabab. Everything looked nice, but it was all very salty. The Korean pork kabab was actually just pieces of very salty ham on a stick. The tokatsu noodles appeared to be the type you find in those small, brick-like squares for fast noodles. The noodles were all broken up and in small pieces. My peanut noodles were the same. We just got back from a date night dinner at this new Japanese noodle bar in downtown Grants Pass. The dumplings were homemade and absolutely outstanding! The sauce was also made from scratch. Entree for me was peanut noodles with chicken, also peanuts and green onions and lime for squeezing. Hubby had ramen carbonara with egg and pork. The bowls didn't look big but don't let looks deceive you -- I couldn't finish mine! I had a pomegranate syrup drink and hubby had a root beer syrup drink. Because it was syrup and water and ice, it tasted like an old fashioned soda one would get at a old timey soda fountain. The place reminded me of an eatery you'd see in Japan or Greenwich Village. Small and inviting, with twinkling lights and happy music. The owners' mother also makes homemade jams and sauces -- so, I had to get a jar of peach bourbon jam! We'll be back because I want to try more of the noodle dishes. If I ordered the peanut noodles again, I'd ask for more peanut sauce, but, that's me. If you love Japanese noodles, head over to Cafe Nadabar! :) PS. This is mostly a carryout place.
