Carmelina provided exceptional customer service. She was friendly, professional, thorough, and very informative. She explained the passport process clearly, answered all of my questions, and even gave me additional information so I knew what to expect after submitting my application. She made the whole experience easy and stress-free. If you're getting a passport, BOOK AN APPOINTMENT and BE PREPARED. RESPECT people's privacy and don't wait inside the room during their appointment! The process was quick, efficient, and the excellent customer service made it even better. Thank you, Carmelina!

This post office is nice and convenient because of their hours. They are open from 11am - 7pm,…read morewhich is perfect for when I want to sleep in or need to mail something after 5. The self-service machine is nice, but there is usually a line for it and the whole place can get pretty crowded. The other day, the label printer at the self-service machine was jammed, so I waited in line at the front to have someone scan my QR code instead. When I got to the front, they said their printers were overheating and they couldn't print it either. They eventually fixed the self-service printer, but I ended up having to wait in two different lines. The employees are usually fine unless you mess something up with your passport paperwork. There is almost always someone getting passive-aggressively scolded for filling something out wrong. Yes, it gets crowded and the experience can be hit or miss, but it is the only post office in the area open past 5, so I keep coming back. Note that there's only one self service machine which is standard but the line builds pretty quickly. I was also one of those people that did their passport stuff here but I had all my stuff sorted so I didn't get scolded. The passport line was egregiously long though and unorganized as people with appointments and none mix together.

So I remembered my husband mentioning to me that there was a post office on Cahalan Ave, which wasn't too far from where I was. As I approached the post office I noticed the driveway was a oneway direction. You enter one way and exit at the other end of the parking lot. Luckily I turned at the right entrance and found a parking spot in the front. They have their own parking lot that offered a large amount parking and one handicap parking spot. This was my first time here. When I entered the post office, I noticed that it was a lot bigger than the one I used to go too. They had several postal employees working the postal counter, which was nice. It seemed very efficient in there. They have a huge post office box section and some lockers. They also had an automated postage machine. They sell greeting cards and gift cards as well. I dropped my letter inside the Mail Drop box inside and left. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

As I was waiting in my car in the drive-through line, the person in front of me shouted out that the box was so full she could not put one more piece of mail in it. I parked in the side lot to go inside. As I was walking in, a man told me the mailbox inside was so full you had to hand your letters to someone behind the counter. I was bummed because I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait in line. Fortunately, it turned out you could walk right up to a worker who was accepting stamped, outgoing mail with no wait. He kindly stopped me to say one of my cards needed two stamps instead of one. He also complimented the stamps I was using, which were WPA posters from the Great Depression that I bought a few years ago. It was so nice of him. This post office always seems to be crowded, but I've only ever had good service here, except the time I saw a manager throw an outgoing box across the room years ago. That's an image I'll never forget. I vow to mail my cards well in advance of Christmas next year.
