Senor Taco (Express) blew my mind again. We stopped in for lunch at the location on Val Vista and Williams Field for lunch while we were out running some errands over the weekend. I decided to try the Baja fish taco. I have had it before at other locations but it can vary from place to place. This was the absolute best fried fish taco I've had anywhere (in the US) at any time in my life (60+ yrs). The fish was crispy and flavorful. The toppings were plentiful and the right proportions including the sauce all stuffed into a flour taco shell. It was immense and very satisfying. A big shout out to Mari, who prepared the taco and evidently knows what she's doing! I had also ordered a carne asada street taco and one of my favorite dishes from there, the shrimp caesar avocado salad. The street taco was tasty as always. After the two tacos I had no room left for the salad and we brought it home. A day later I took the salad, put it into a bowl, along with all the toppings that came with it. There was so much salad it nearly filled a 1 gallon tupperware bowl - it was like it doubled in size from the container it came in. This is in my opinion the best shrimp caesar avocado salad in all of Phoenix. Prior to covid, the cost was $11+. Post covid it only went up $12+. Price to value/quality could not be beat before covid and with everyone raising their prices from 20% to 30% afterwards, it's an even better value now. I could go on and on about all their shrimp dishes but I'll save that for a separate post shortly for the location on Arizona and Ocotillo. I believe in Bigfoot too, but that's for another conversation. Tacos make me happy. Especially good tacos. Found good ones at Senor Taco. The line of cars was a clear indication I was on to something good. Fish tacos were delicious with plenty of pico/cabbage and a distinct smoky chipotle sauce that was a perfect compliment to the taco. Not overpowering in taste or spice level, just a hint of smoke. Quesobirria was stuffed with gobs of meat and cheese and a crust of cheese on the outer shell that made for a helluva crunch with no risk of cracking a tooth. The breakfast burritos were humungous!!! We didn't realize we ordered the mucho grande (haha) but they each had to have been 4lbs! No joke. Both the roasted red salsa and green salsa were fabulous! Heat level cleared the sinuses. Discovered this place a few days ago (on a Monday evening when many places were closed) and have now visited every day since. I keep missing happy hour, though, so definitely will be heading back again soon. Favorite is the red chili carne asada burrito, spicy but great flavor and probably should be shared - but I still somehow managed not to share . Quesabirria taco, carne asada burrito and the carne asada fries are also excellent. Visited this morning for an early lunch and decided to dine in the restaurant. I do wish the tables were kept clean, and I had to wipe down mine myself. Hopefully just an anomaly and, again, food was excellent. Looking forward to trying their margaritas soon! read more

Maybe my expectations are high since I'm Mexican and grew up with authentic Mexican food, but this place was AWFUL. The carne asada was full of fat, tendons and was unseasoned. It was like eating mushy hamburger meat. It's hard to order through the drive-thru, because they can't hear you over the neighboring business. $32 for two burritos and we literally threw them away after taking a few bites. I hate writing reviews like this, but this was extremely disappointing. I'm not sure how they have such a high rating. read more

Holy smokes so good!! We drive from pretty far just to eat here and it never disappoints!! We love the California burrito, rolled tacos, fish tacos with a delicious sauce, quesadillas - crunchy and loaded with cheese! The beans and rice are always perfect! We hadnt been to a Senor taco in years and it was our first time trying Senor taco express. The food was fresh and tasty! The salsa bar was fully loaded. The staff was kind and helpful! I went here today to give the new place a try. I ordered the chicken street fries because I saw sow photos online and they looked good. Man am I disappointed! I spent $13 on an order of fries and I'm still hungry. The chicken had the consistency of rubber and was completely inedible. Not worth the price AT ALL!! Beans tasted and looked like they came from a can, super dry and even dried out in some places, tortilla was hard, carne asada had no flavor. Only thing good eas the drive thru and the Dora jet was broken I had to repeat myself 10 times to two different employees. For a plain bean & cheese burrito I paid almost $9 and I couldn't finish it, if you know me you know bean and cheese are my favorite and for this place yo have 4.7 stars I'm extremely disappointed. read more

This place has the best chicken breast tacos I've ever experienced all white meat, cilantro, onions, and good sized. The service is unmatchable always friendly and excited to see you. Wife used the drive thru to pick us up some brekkie lunch, or brunch as some of you like to say. We can't speak to the ambiance or service inside so this is strictly a review about the food although she said the drive thru lady was nice. I perused the menu online and said we should definitely try that quesabirria so we got one to share. The wifey was feeling more brekkie and I was feeling more lunch, so I got the Chipotle and Shrimp burrito, while she got the Bacon Chipotle breakfast burrito. My burrito was excellent. Nice amount of some medium sized shrimp, mushrooms, yummy Chipotle sauce, rice and cheese. My wife's burrito was good...but she said there wasn't anything spectacular about it. The birria though was excellent as well. A little greasy, a lot of beefy and delicious. The consomme is on point here as well. I was in the drive thru for a few minutes before someone answered (12:30 pm) and I got the rolled taco and burrito special. I asked for no Pico at the window and the guy at the window confirmed with another guy with an Edgar haircut that I wanted no pico, I got the burrito, took a bite and there was pico. So if you have any simple requests they will not fulfill, they are busy getting people out the drive thru with most of their order and they are happy with your money. The burrito was watery from the pico and the meat was chewy. The rolled tacos were alright as those are hard to mess up. Definitely not coming back read more

Was passing by and decided to try something new. Glad I did! I got the #4 (2 shredded beef tacos with rice and beans). I got to the window to pay and the gentleman asked what kind of salsa I wanted I let him know the spiciest one. He lets me know which ones he has I say 1 of each when he returns with my food he brings me 1 that was freshly made so it was still kind of warm but let me know it's the one he likes. I believe it was a arbol salsa and he also gave me Diablo. I enjoyed them both but really liked the arbol. The rice and beans were flavorful and the tacos were very good. They weren't falling apart and didn't lack flavor. I didn't get a picture of the food but I will next time because I definitely will be back! read more

Tried all three flavors of street tacos (beef, Al pastor and carnitas), the shredded beef taco and the quesibirria taco. Also sampled the mild red salsa, special sauce and consommé for the birria taco. WOW tasted so fresh with quality ingredients! So amazing I didn't want to stop eating!! I've visited this location a couple of times in the drive thru & the service has been so friendly and helpful with the menu. The first time I got the carne asada fries, sooo bomb and single serving is still a big portion. This last time I ordered 5 beef rolled tacos (chicken is an option) and they were also bomb!!!! The taco shell was not greasy at all, the meat was tender and overall good flavor. Both the red and green salsa were good with both items. read more
