Visited Señor Taco Express while in Gilbert. The atmosphere was very casual and quick-stop friendly, and the service was fast and efficient. I've stopped here a few times when I needed a quick bite. Tried a couple of their tacos -- simple, tasty, and satisfying for what they are. Tuesdays are especially good with tacos priced at $2.49, which makes it an easy and affordable stop. Overall, not bad for a quick taco and worth popping in when the craving hits. Saluti.

Okay not familiar at all with this chain and quite frankly the name made me think it was not gonna be good. WOW. So glad I tried it anyway because I was dead wrong. The quesabirria was incredibly delicious. They layer the tortillas with the bottom one having just cheese and the top one having cheese and meat and HOLY wow this was just amazing. I ordered two not realizing how big they actually are. Super messy, super worth it. Price 6.50 a taco. Nice indoor and friendly workers. I'll be dreaming of these tacos until my next Phoenix area trip.

This place is a home run! I have a Senor Taco by my house in Chandler that I go to often because I love the fish tacos. This is my first visit to this Express location in Gilbert. These fish tacos are even better! The place is clean , has a lot of menu options, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend, if you like Mexican food.

I love, love, love tacos especially shrimp or asada so I opted for both to try since I'd never been to a Senior Taco before. Service was great and very friendly. It was later in the day around 4pm and only one other person eating inside. My son chose breakfast burrito which he said are his favorite here. The location was clean. Our food came out quickly. I knew I wasn't going to love the shrimp taco by the giant thing of sour cream drenched over it. It was ok, but I had to scrape a ton off. The Assad taco looked good but was very dry. Green salsa was good. I'd try again if nearby, but definitely not sold.

We've lived right down the street from this place and thought it was another Torchy's tacos or Rusty's tacos but it's an authentic Mexican restaurant. Being from California, the Mexican restaurants in Arizona always disappointed but not this one. It will be our regular spot :)

    Great decor!

Pleasantly Surprised! A Hidden Gem for Taco Lovers We'll admit it--we were a little skeptical about trying Señor Taco Express. The name didn't exactly scream "authentic," but we're always up for a taco adventure, so we gave it a shot. And let's just say... we're so glad we did! We visited on a Tuesday (perfect timing for Taco Tuesday!), where they offer mini street tacos for just $1.99 each. But don't let the word mini fool you--these are full-sized, flavor-packed tacos, and we're pretty sure the tortillas are made in-house. We tried the Carne Asada, Carnitas, and El Pastor (skipping the Chicken this time), and while they were all tasty, the Carnitas was the clear winner. The Carne Asada was a close second, while the El Pastor, though flavorful, had a bit of gristle. We also ordered the Nachos with Carne Asada, and wow--these did not disappoint! A perfect balance of crispy chips, melty cheese, and well-seasoned meat. One thing to note: unlike some Mexican restaurants, Señor Taco Express doesn't offer complimentary chips, but they make up for it with an impressive salsa bar. We tried several, ranging from mild to bring-a-tissue spicy, and each one was packed with fresh flavors. Service That Stands Out... Since this was our first visit, we had a few questions about the menu, and the staff behind the counter couldn't have been more helpful. They were patient, informative, and happy to explain the different taco options and salsa choices. It's always a great sign when employees are knowledgeable and genuinely seem to care about the customer experience. Cleanliness Gets an A+ We chose to dine in, and not only was the dining area super clean, but the bathrooms were pristine (which is always a major plus in our book!). You can tell they take pride in maintaining a welcoming and hygienic space, which only added to our positive experience. Long story short--we may have just found our new go-to Mexican spot. If you're in the mood for great tacos, fresh salsas, and a clean, welcoming space with great service, Señor Taco Express is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back for sure!

The fish tacos are so good, and the Mexican Rice. We always come here and do drive thru. But today when I went there, they got my order wrong, gave me Shrimp tacos instead of fish tacos. And I made sure to repeat my order several times. Very disappointed as we only found out when we got home. Unfortunately the shrimp tacos are very bland and not very good. Next time I really need to check the receipt before leaving.

Massive Red Chile Carne Asada Burrito if you like spicy delicious!

Portions are amazingly large and the quality is top notch! The gentleman working the counter was so nice and helpful. Husband ordered red Chile carne asade burrito and he made sure we knew HOT it is. Husband loves it! Then he offered us some "secret sauce " Damn tiny little cup and it was so good! One of favorite taco shops! See you next time

    Vegan burrito- huge!
    Lori A.

I tried the vegan burrito and it was out of this world! It's huge and filled with soy chorizo, rice, beans, guacamole, romaine and grilled vegetables. Service was fast even though they were super busy. I love the salsa bar too. FYI for vegans: they sprinkle cheese on their tortilla chips.

We ordered the hot Cheetos burrito and it didn't come with any hot Cheetos....like that's the whole point of the burrito. The food tastes good but when we don't get what we order, then it doesnt matter.

Came here for lunch after getting my car serviced and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and well stocked. They have a salsa bar filled with sauces, limes, onions, spicy carrots, etc. The drink machine is Pepsi products and there are also iced teas. I ordered a carne asada bowl and it was very good but so filling that I brought it home! So tasty! I will go back again and try other items on the menu. Everything looks good and fresh!

You start off with complimentary homemade chips and salsa. The chips are always fresh and crispy, and the salsa has a delicious smoky flavor with just the right amount of heat. If you're looking for a good drink, the mango margarita is honestly one of the best I've had. The watermelon agua fresca is another favorite--it's crisp, refreshing, and has just the right amount of sweetness. As for the food, some of my favorites are the pozole, Pick Two Tacos, and the Famous Carnitas, which is also one of my husband's favorites. He usually goes for the Burro Combo, Chile Verde, or Famous Carnitas. You really can't go wrong with any of them! This time, I ordered the carnitas, and they were so good. The meat was seasoned perfectly, tender, and had a nice bite to it. The portion is also very generous, especially with the rice and beans. I almost always end up taking leftovers home, which is definitely a plus. The atmosphere is another reason I enjoy coming here. It's casual, comfortable, and relaxing, and they also have outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside. If you're looking for a family-friendly spot with great food, generous portions, good drinks, and reasonable prices, definitely give this place a try. It continues to be one of my favorites!

I can see why its a favorite for people. The wife got the Baja shrimp. She said it was ok but nothing that stood out. I got the carne asada. This was where it fell short. It was a thin piece of meat and parts were over cooked. It felt like shoe leather. The parts that weren't were good, tender and tasty. But I felt it had a lack of flavor for a carne asada. The rice and refried beans that came with it were great. The ambiance when you walk in was really nice but unfortunately the metal chairs we sat on were not comfortable. Overall it wasn't bad but there wasn't anything that I'd want to go back for.

We had the tomahawk steak, scallops with bone marrow, and a variety of seafood and veggies. It was definitely on the pricey side, but honestly, worth it for a special occasion! A couple of things were a little disappointing. I had booked two weeks in advance and even called ahead hoping for a table near the wine cellar, so I was a little surprised to be seated in the back corner by the wall and bathroom, especially since it was a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn't very busy. I was also really excited about the ceviche I convinced my husband to order, but unfortunately, we never received it. Prime Ribeye: Perfectly cooked with a beautiful crust, topped with sautéed mushrooms, and every bite was juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you'd expect from a top-tier steakhouse. Crispy Lobster : Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and tossed in a sweet-spicy sauce that kept us reaching for one more bite. Espresso Martini: Smooth, balanced, and the perfect cocktail to enjoy with dinner--or to finish the evening. Dessert: The perfect ending to an outstanding meal.
