Just ordered $25 worth of food and the cashier handed me a bag with 3 yellow chili's...i asked for another 3 because we had 2 meals. The cashier was like how about I just give you 2 chili's. I mean come on, seemed like she was being shady. She said it with a little attitude. What's one more chili! Been here many times, but the attitude was overboard! Probably won't be going back. Senor Baja is a great chain but this particular location has gone way downhill over the years. It was my go-to fish taco place for years, but the last few visits have been terrible for the same reasons. Speed: when I got to the drivethru there were only two vehicles ahead of me; one at the pickup window and the second at the order box. It took an astonishing 18 MINUTES from that point on for me to get my order (nothing complicated; just 3 fish tacos). But hey, taste rewards patience right? When I got home the fish was far overcooked and a dark brown. I suspect they fried it in really old oil too. The capper: bite into it and it was mostly batter with very little fish and the batter was crunchy and hard. Avoid this location. I am now going to drive a little farther to go to their Claremont/Pomona location instead. Edit: It's now 2 hours later and just threw up. It wasn't full blown food poisoning but I had that awful feeling in my upper chest and my mouth kept filling with saliva that I had to get rid of it. Downgraded review from 2 stars to 1. Wow, this place used to be delicious but now its just horrible. It's like the owners don't care about the service, the cleanliness or most importantly, the food. Couple of years ago the drive through line was packed and the wait was a half hour or more, now, it's always dead. I live close by so I notice there are hardly ever ANY customers. I've been driving back and forth around the area and then finally decided to give this place a try since it was a Wednesday and their fish tacos were 99 cents each. After reading the reviews about their fish tacos and how good they were, i thought I hit the jackpot on finding good fish tacos for cheap! However, I was wrong. The fish tacos were of course fried and cabbage and diced tomatoes were piled on top of each taco, drizzled with a white sauce. After biting into the taco, I didn't see the what all the rave reviews were about since to me the tacos were not that fantastic. The pile of cabbage and white sauce on top of the fried fish drowned any taste of the fish or lack there of. I've definitely experience better than the ones from this place and it is not comparable to the ones in Mexico. The ones I've tried in Cabo San Lucas were way better and the fish was battered crispy and tasteful. It wasn't loaded with tons of cabbage and white sauce to mask the flavor of the fish. For the price of $1 a taco on Wednesday, it is not a bad deal but don't expect it to be that great. read more

this place is sheisty, i wont be going back, first of all took 25 minutes to make burrito and 2 tacos and there were just a couple orders ahead of me... and what bothered me really was that they charge for extra hot sauce on the side, they will only give one little hot sauce per 2 tacos or per one burrito, so I was only allowed 2 sauces which werent even enough just for the burrito. The girl just left it in the machine and walked off and began to mop the floor while taking drive-thru orders at the same time. This place is horrible. The food has no flavor and it's dry. I ordered a torta de milanesa and it just had lettuce, tomato and avocado no beans or any type of dressing. A real torta comes with beans and sour cream. My husband had the asada torta and the asada was flavorless! Also tried the fish taco and the tarter sauce tased too much like mayonnaise. I'd rather pay more for real Mexico flavored food. Don't waste your time at this place. If you want cheap good with no taste then knock your self out. read more

I'm surprised this place gets such a high rating. We went with high hopes after reading the Yelp reviews. We got their mahi mahi burrito, and it was awful. The fish smelled old and very fishy, it was inedible. We also got the nachos, and they were mediocre. My daughter actually prefers the nachos at Santana's. In addition to the underwhelming food, the people behind the counter were unfriendly. They were also super stingy with the salsa. I had a burrito al pastor, and it was pretty good. The flavor was dominated by a lime cilantro salsa, so there wasn't much of the al pastor flavor, or for that matter much pork. Terrible service! I ordered a shrimp cocktail to go, and when I got in the car I went to eat some, and there was no avacado!! I went back in to ask for some, and the girl just said oh, we're out. Like why wasn't I told before I ordered? I told her I would not have ordered if I knew, but all she said was sorry. No attempt to make it right or anything. Fresh and clean. First Mexican joint where I don't walk out with a food coma. I've ordered combo uno which consists of 2 tacos, rice, beans and a drink. I've ordered the mahi mahi fish taco and the shrimp taco. It was a little extra from the menu price but I'm willing to pay the little extra. Both tacos were loaded with cabbage and a white lime sauce? Not sure but it was good. Their Spanish rice is off the 2 chainz! Beans were alright, I'm not a big fan of beans. Although food is good it's way over priced and skimpy food portions. For example the shredded beef taco is small (which is fine) but charged 2.99$ for it. Depending on the day of the week and who you get if you order a hard shell taco plate combo uno they charge an additional 0.50 cents PER taco that is not posted. Even on the new order sign they have up. Only says 50 cents for shrimp tacos. Sad b/c I've been to others out of this area and they are ran way different. Yes the Baja Fish taco's are excellent. They are made fresh to order. They dip a nice piece of battered cod into there fryer and your killer fish taco is almost ready.
