This use to be a great place, not anymore. My last visit was horrible! The beef tacos tasted like old grease and the fish taco was spoiled so bad I had to spit it out. I can not believe the cook does not take the time to smell the fish before they serve it. I have left more than 10 messages for a manager to call me. I don't like leaving bad Yelp reviews but no one will bother to even return my call. My family will never go back and I will make sure I tell everyone I know. The customer service tonight was great! I had stopped going to the foothill location for awhile because the employees were not very friendly. I guess those employees are gone now because tonight this place blew my mind. I was offered complimentary tacos. I ordered 6 fish tacos and they were all packed nice and pretty in to-go containers. they all looked mouthwatering. The taste was spot on. Their Fish tacos are really good. And on Wednesday they have them for 99cents. Also on Thursdays they have the papa (potato)?tacos for 99 cents and they are really good as well. Just be careful on Wednesday and Thursdays cause it gets crazy pack. If you order to go you'll wait like 10 minutes not bad. But if you want to eat inside! Be prepare to wait like 30 minutes for a table to open up, even then you might have to fight for it. Lol read more

I was brought to this hole in the wall by a regular (who just so happens to be Mexican/Italian - so he must know good Mexican food!). This restaurant looks/functions like a Baja Fresh or Rubio's, but the food is much better - and it's due largely in part to its authenticity! We got two fish tacos, a shrimp taco & a carne asada burrito & split EVERYTHING (because I like to have a taste of it all ;D). Delicious. After having experience tacos pescados in Baja oh so many years ago I came here at the recommendation of a old buddy of mine who has lived in Claremont all his life for the fish tacos. In addition to the fish tacos I got some taquitos and a potato taco (which I'd never heard of before). The taquitos were buired under a mountain of lettuce but very delicious. The potato taco was a complete surprise and success. It is hard to describe how they did it but trust me, if you like fried potatos, you'll like this. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the fish tacos, the fish batter had lost its crispiness so I cant fairly judge them. They did put much too much cream sauce so when I go again, I'll ask them to skip that. But beyond that, they did taste good. And they had some awesome salsas. Really good. read more

I've been going to this location for some time and normally it's not bad. But my last 2 visits were not so good. The Menudo was not good, my papa tacos were overcooked, after waiting in the drive thru for 20-25 min. The drive thru speaker is horrible and the women seem overworked. Previously called El Taco Nazo...have driven by and been intrigued to go in. Then some co-workers went here for lunch for take out. The nachos were fantastic! They have really tasty fish tacos. The shrimp tacos are just enh. But they have taco specials for every day of the week for like a buck. Wednesday is Dollar fish taco day. Thursday is Dollar potato taco day. They also have this tasty complimentary chili cucumber salad that is really good with lime. This will definitely be a lunch time fave for me! read more

The restaurant has that hole in the wall feel to it, but those places are usually the best. This place lives up to those expectations. Delicious food, fast service, and excellent salsa. There is only one place that is better than this, but it's a long drive. Locally, this is the only place I'll eat fish tacos because I'm crazy picky. The shrimp burrito is pretty delectable as well. I'm new to the area and decided to go and try out your place I use to go to taco Baja where I use to live and was hoping it would've been just as good and receive just as good service as your competitor but seriously I received not only an unpleasant visit but really bad service. I placed my combo orders with a side order of arroz con leche when I left and got home I realized that I didn't get my arroz con leche so I drove back and instead of me going off at the cashier I asked her what happened to my ordered and all she did was laugh and said " sorry we ran out " and I asked why she couldn't tell me this from the beginning and she did was give me my refund back and laughed again about it . This is one of my family's favorite spots. While I am an opportunivore, the rest of my family eats fish and vegetarian only. Our favorite dishes include, fish tacos (grilled and traditional), shrimp cocktail, al pastor tacos, ceviche , and veggie tostadas (with cabbage instead of lettuce). Their beans are the best around (not made with lard!) and their prices are outstanding. They make really delicious juaritos (fried yellow chilis) and give them to customers by request...with no charge! We love their hot sauce, though our favorite is at a little place in Pasadena called La Estrella, this is 35 minutes closer:) Their breakfast is really good too. I like the menudo but the rest of my family like the chilaquiles or huevos Mexicano. Of all the Sr. Baja locations, this is our favorite (everything just tastes better here), though the others spots are yummy too. We've been eating at this spot regularly for 10 years and don't plan on stopping. read more
