Taco Plate

I love that I can order online from toast then pick up from the drive thru. Overall the tacos were very flavorful. The rice & beans were bland. The pork tamales were very dry. I liked the burrito but the chicken was shredded & sparse, next time I'll definitely go with the bistec

Breakfast was calling and this place caught my eye. It was everything I'd hoped it would be, delicious, friendly, and authentic. I ordered Migas, even though they were not on the menu. They were super sweet to accommodate my craving. The red and green salsas had the kick I was hoping for which is very important to me. Two of us got out of there very satisfied for under $20 which is amazing for a sit down breakfast. I'm excited to see that this charming place also has a drive thru! I will be utilizing that, to be sure.

Simply show them this picture and mention "el señor de las tortillas" recommended it. It's our little secret.

This place used to be La Paloma, but I stopped going due to poor service and food quality. However, last year, I decided to give it another chance under new ownership, and I'm glad I did. The staff now has a knack for cooking, and while the menu could still use some improvements, it's satisfactory. Without the talented staff, it would just be like the old Paloma. The ladies in the kitchen have a natural talent for cooking, evident from the first bite, especially with their delicious handmade tortillas.Parking might be a bit challenging, but it's definitely worth the visit. Don't forget to grab a popsicle from the place next door! The one thing i do not like is the coffee, bad quality.

Delicious food, great parking, daily specials, and super clean kitchen. They have a drive through. Their flavors are authentic and salsa is spicy. I saw all of the soda options and they had sweets as well. We ordered simple food and the flavors were elevated and "done right". A new favorite for my family. Also the staff was friendly and the food came out fast and hot, made to the order. We ordered rice first for a toddler and they accommodated to share the plate before the other food. The flavor was amazing and it was fresh made rice. Also the prices were super fair for the amount of food served.

I've been ordering from here for 6 years and this is the best it's ever tasted. Sometimes I'm disappointed but this time, after 6 years, I'm so impressed. The Birria tacos with the flavorful consome was the best ever.

Food was not great at all. Played 30$ just to eat the 3 tortillas that came as a side with lemon and salt.

I…read morearrived around 11, typical check in was 3 but I booked through Amex so was guaranteed a noon check in. Although I was eligible for a room upgrade, it wasn't ready so I took a regular king, which was fine. I appreciated the ability to get in prior to noon as I was headed to the game. I didn't spend much time at the hotel but the service, lobby and room met my picky expectations . The king room was big enough for 2 adults along with my 70 pound boxer and small dog. My only complaint is no grass nearby. It is downtown so I get it but a small patch would be helpful. There is a pet area next door but it's dirt and let's just say my dogs need grass ‍ they aren't accustomed to using the bathroom in dirt so apparently they thought they were doing something wrong ‍. I fibbed I have a second complaint, the restaurant service was extremely slow and the silverware was gross I had to get multiple switchouts. That's fixable and I'll be nice and not dock stars for it I'd definitely come back if I have my pups and need to be in the downtown Dallas area.

We spent the day touring hotels in Downtown and Uptown Dallas while selecting accommodations for…read moreour October wedding. Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

I hit the jackpot gem with Bucket and Rope. This place is just off the main areas in downtown near the Dallas Farmer's Market. The patrons are mostly locals who know what's up. The layout is spacious but welcoming. I sat at the bar as I was solo, but there were plenty of great seating options including comfortable couches. The patio is currently being re-done, but will be perfect for the upcoming fall season. The menu offerings were plentiful and varied, but there are specials and rotating options as well. Alexa at the bar greeted me, and went over the menu and specials with me. She did a great job making my cocktails and giving casual conversation throughout. I ordered the off-menu Steak Frites with broccolini and fries. The steak was charred perfectly on the outside and moist and at the lovely medium temp on the inside. The broccolini was on point with just a bit of spice from the red pepper. Fries were shoestring style, and they did it right with that perfect crisp on the outside and soft inside. I learned that Thursdays are paella night! What a great surprise in downtown Dallas! When in the city again, this will absolutely be my go to place for cocktails and great food.

We let him know upfront that we were on a HARD stop--we had a flight to catch in about an hour and a half--so we asked how we should pace our meal. He said, "Okay, I got it," and he absolutely delivered! We ate, enjoyed ourselves, and still had time to spare. Excellent service! Now, the food! We had the shrimp deviled eggs--EXCELLENT! We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese, fried catfish, pork chops, black-eyed peas cooked with smoked turkey over rice, collard greens, smoked oysters, grilled shrimp appetizer, wild berry lemon drops, and strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious. Not one disappointing dish on the table. Then came the bill...$450 for four people, with no dessert. That was definitely a bit of a shock. We realized gratuity had already been added, which helped explain the total, but it still felt steep and took a little of the shine off an otherwise great experience. The food was amazing, the service was on point, and Cam did exactly what we needed him to do. But $450 for four people with no dessert? That part was hard to swallow--and it wasn't the food!

My schedule finally aligned and allowed me to be able to visit the Dallas location. I went for dinner during a weeknight. There were a decent amount of people seated and at the bar. The vibes were cool. The staff were friendly and there was no wait for a table. I ordered the southern fries catfish with grits and greens. Everything was just "okay" to me for the price. Again, I'm from Alabama. The greens were salty and I had to doctor up the grits. If you're not used to southern cooking, I would say definitely try it. If you are used to southern cooking, go for the vibes based on my experience. I'm going to give it another try and to sample more menu items when I'm near another location because I've heard great things about the food and I always give worthy places more than one chance. I'll do another review once I try it again.
