The fried fish looked like a piranha
    Liz C.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy, but a party of four walked out because they never got drinks or chips & salsa. Prices do not reflect the dishes. The caldo de pescado was good. The fried fish which looked more like a piranha, is not seasoned at all! They just give you a large side of garlic in butter to add it yourself. There are definitely better seafood places than this. First and last time eating here!

Revive Muertos Shrimp Cocktail: Shrimp, oysters, octopus& ceviche. Complimentary chips, salsa, cheese dip and delicious borracho beans.

Ixtapa bay on Garland road.. Over all great service, delicious fresh food, super laid back atmosphere, ok prices. Love the complimentary borracho beans! Also chips, salsa and cheese dip yum yum. Been here many times and I have always walked out with a very content tummy.. Seafood is mostly of course Mexican seafood dishes that are well prepared and very fresh. I recommend it.. I feel bad for the previous bad reviews.

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Carter L

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

They utilize team approach where someone else brought the drinks and food runners brought the food. Manager checked on us to make sure everything was good. Our water glasses were never empty. I ordered a Bloody Mary that they returned with a shrimp and celery stick. Nice touch. I specifically went here to try their soft shell crab and it did not disappoint. Others in the party had lobster rolls and the fried shrimp basket. I forgot to mention that we had the appetizers , crab hush puppies and fried oysters and both were excellent. We also tried the bread pudding and key lime pie for dessert that we really liked. Overall we would definitely return.

The mocktail was delicious. Our crab fingers appetizers were in a tasty sauce. The salad could've used more flavor to it and fresher lettuce, but i appreciated the amount of Parmesan cheese on top. I personally thought the presentation of the salmon was too much and a bit odd. I wish there was more sauce (or at least a side of sauce). The risotto was too bland, but the brussel sprouts were tasty and lemony. The salmon had a great crust, but it was too undercooked for me and wasn't the best salmon I've had. The filet mignon was ordered medium rare, but too us it seemed a lot more rare and wasn't seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Our server was kind and helpful.

Don't let the looks of the restaurant discourage your visit...they definitely make it up on their freshly made and BIG portioned dishes that they serve. If you're a Vegetarian like me, we do have some choices...but, it's limited. I highly recommend their Tacos of Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom) and their Tacos of Huitlacoche, (Edible Corn Mushroom), pronounced weet-la-COH-cheh. They are big portioned and the tortillas de masa (corn tortillas) are freshly done...so, don't expect your dish fast since these people actually start doing your food as you order dish from their menu. They were delicious!!! Note: You can have the Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom) and Huitlacoche ((Edible Corn Mushroom) in empanadas too. Note: Huitlacoche (Edible Corn Mushroom) - It is also known as cuitlacoche, corn smut, and Mexican truffle. Note: The menu that's on this Yelp review from a fellow Yelper isn't the complete menu. So, come on in to see their awesome dishes. Note: This restaurant prepares their dishes Oaxacan style Man, I just wish I had taken pics of the dishes that my family were served. My Brother had one of their Tortas...and it was HUGE! It was the size of the whole plate...and with that stated, it was packed with delicious flavors that left my Brother wanting more. I tell y'all...the menu that is on the fellow Yelper's review doesn't display the full menu of what this restaurant really offers. Somehow, I or someone will need to take pics of their full menu for everyone to see. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious and BIG portioned dishes that this humble restaurant offers. Definitely give them a visit...you won't be disappointed
