I've been to this establishment many times. This particular evening I was celebrating a friends birthday. She bought a section a few days prior to our night out. We were let in and led to our section no problem. Long story short my homegirl paid beforehand as you must do to book the table, yet the owners/managers could not find their receipt. My friend had everything including payment used and receipt for her purchase. Our bottles still didn't come out until the club was about ready to close. Meek Mill's intro song was playing by the time our bottles came out....& y'all know that's the que to leave within 20 minutes or so. The host and hostesses were bomb and security was bomb. Great energy and vibes! This place is best for Birthdays, celebrating anything and just the perfect night club with Hooka. The DJ was on fire! The working ladies was very tentative always asking us do we need anything are we good. That night the lounge only had one flavor of sheesha to choose from, but even the guy with the coal would come around very often to change out the coal. Also recommend getting a package if you come with more than 5 people. This place is very safe and have lots of security on staff. read more

This spot clearly identifies like they are in Miami ,ATL, or LA with pricing but really not up to par. My cousin booked a section for her birthday. That comes with a bottle of champagne and a "bottle" of liquor. They don't tell you the types of liquor until you get there. Which big surprise was Hennessy or vodka only. The bottle girls seemed tired and over it at 10 pm. Hookah is $46 with no refill and they only have 2 flavor. Which is disappointing. The music was cool and for the most part ok. You couldn't get a consistent vibe but there would be sporadic songs you liked. Once you enter if you leave for any reason it's $30 to get back in. So don't try and leave your flats in the car attempting to be cute. Also apparently no dress code some people mostly women had dresses that would be suitable pretty much all the men had on Tshirts and sneakers. Not very grown and sexy at all. I was here for Vikter Duplaix's Kiss N' Grind presented by Smirnoff. Although it falls into the category of typical Baltimore lounge (read: one level, roped off "vip/reserved", and 25-30 buck hookah); it was the perfect setting for this event. The decor was a dark hardwood decor with nouve furniture, lcd monitor that provided a little eye candy and a nice sound system. For an event with an open bar, Select decided to only staff the bar with two bartenders. Per usual in these situations, one bartender was friendly...while the other was not and marginally attitudinal. The thing that kept event goers engaged was Dj Phaze, Vikter Duplaix and a set by Dj Spen. A suggestion, for Select if you wish to engage your patrons in the hookah side of your business offer specials to go along with special events. Or a Hookah Happy Hr. I came out here for Kiss N' Grind (Vikter Duplaix event). The decor inside surprised me from the way the outside looked. Nice hardwood floors with cool furniture, flat screens around the bar (MNF was on), small stage and pumping sound system. Bartenders were friendly, a bit slow, but it was an open bar event for the new Smirnoff flavors. The VIP section had Hookah available, which is something my friend is looking for so I can let her know of this spot for that. So I was looking for a review for the average girl perspective, you know the girl who does more happy hours than nightclubs, does not spend weekends twerking, is definitely not a avid stack dropper for bottle service. That girl did not post a review so I took one for the team and went! Let me start by saying I booked a table because it was my birthday, I wanted to dress cute but be comfortable and not worry about not having a seat. So I dropped the $211 booking fee via the website.Not including the $40 gratuity fee at the door. When I arrived I was greeted by some spacy bottle girl who informed me they didnt have crown royal apple (ehhh really) and that bottle service started at $300. I asked her what did the $200 cover and to my shock she was confused. She had to get someone else who told who had me pull up my online confirmation and the same bottle of large ciroc I gotr was instantly covered....before it was $300. So book online first to save some coins.We also got hookah which was $46 .....very expensive and just ok but if your splitting between 4 ppl then why not? The crowd was young and fun, the music was current hip hop, not alot of club music (thank God) Oh and if you want a seat after 12 book a table or stand up. Overall I enjoyed my night and left wobbling (it was like 4 ppl to a bottle of large ciroc plus infused cupcakes). Here's the breakdown Get on the list ! Go to the website you will be able to get in for free before a certain time. We signed up on Saturday and it's free before 10:30. We got there at 9:59 and went straight to the bar. Ordered drinks and the bartender said that it was open bar until 10. So we did get a free drink, not sure what it was. Then we proceeded to order 2 sets of shots. 2 shots were $7. And best believe they were worth the 3.50 a piece. not very strong at all. Being that.. most of seating at that point is roped off for VIP. There are these wood tables where if you are lucky.. you can grab a quick seat. But were mostly occupied but the folks sitting not really enjoying themselves at all the whole night texting, tweeting, fbing, instagraming. They seemed to never move all night, until the DJ played 30 seconds of a song they liked. Music was great.. DJ played a great mix of current rap, some classics, reggae, and club. Parking there is street parking, but there is also valet. Now the valet was $10 when we got there ... but it was $20 when we left. So just no it's cheaper to party here if you get here before 10:30. (shrugs) if you are on a low baller budget. Crowd, Im no spring chicken, I was definitely the oldest person in the club... except the security and the folks running the place. Bathroom was decent. No complaints...... but it was early. And Im sure if there is no one manning a coat check, I cant be sure there is someone maintaining the bathroom status. Well...I must say that I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I don't live in there so I don't go to many of them, but I usually have a pretty good time at Baltimore clubs. The area is pretty rough, but there's a parking lot right next door where most people park. It costs 5 dollars but make sure you pay it. I definitely did not expect it to look that nice on the inside. I know I don't get out much in Baltimore but most of the people here were dressed pretty nice. I didn't see the typical barely there clothes or jeans or the baggy jeans on guys. They are pretty strict on dress code. Music was pretty good, especially if you like rap/hip hop, there was more of that being played than I'm used to at clubs, that's not a negative comment btw. But I think they have different djs every weekend I think though. There's hookah in the back room also, I don't know how that works though during club hours. Although many places call themselves, "lounges" they don't really feel like it. This did, it never got crowded to the point where you couldn't move, but there was still a nice sized crowd. I wasn't expecting much, since most bmore clubs are major letdowns, but this place was very nice! Very spacious with hardwood floors and monitors everywhere. Seating areas were plenty but fill up fast. There were 2 bars, but one was in VIP. That could be a problem because the bartenders did seem a little overwhelmed at times. Definitely not a sneaker spot. The women were dressed very sexy and fellas came correct. The bathrooms offered some different decor ideas. Very relaxing. Rented a section. 6/29/2019 for 10ppl and a premium bottle of liquor for 180$ 209$ after taxes I arrived with 4ppl I was introduced to my bottle girl. Who was very nice . Had to wait at the door for a couple minutes due to the fact that this club does not allow you to bring cigarettes inside but you can purchase a Hookah 50$ of course. I ask what kind of dark liquor do you have. She replied Hennessey was a extra 80$. Ok so what kind of liquor did I pay for? She replied Moët, Ciroc an E&j???!? So I decided on Ciroc peach because they didn't have watermelon. To my surprise in order to get the bottle I already paid for I had to pay 36$ in taxes. When my other guest arrived the lady at the door charged my guest. There was 7 ppl in a party of 10. she charged a couple of my ppl 20$ at the door. I had holla at the lady at the door and get my ppl's money back. FYI if you don't rent a section you have no where to sit. And they over charge you for everything. My be it's just me but dam why put 36$ in taxes on a 30$ bottle and what lady gets all dressed up to come to ya club and can't have a seat? I visited the select lounge for the clermont twins event and it was a horrible over priced establishment. To have a decent place to sit costs $500 for a booth otherwise you have the limited stools at bar or two cramped circular tables in the corner. When ordering a hookah we were given a vape instead of actual coal and tobacco and it was $30! This was suppose to be a "half-off" hookah night. When I actually tried to dance and enjoy myself I was yelled at by a bodyguard near the Clermont twins for dancing to close and accidentally bumping him as he stood in the middle of a dance floor. This security guard later grabbed my arm, screamed into my ear and threatened to kick me out for brushing him with my elbow. I left immediately after that. Not worth it AT ALL. read more

Any respectable business owner should know and understand that one of the key elements to properly owning and running a successful business is CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you hire employees who are down-right disrespect to their guests then you need to re-learn Business 101. Your guests are the source of your income and I would think you would have them treated in such a way that they enjoy your establishment, so much so, to the point that they come back and bring friends with them. Because guess what? Word of mouth grows your business. It's no surprise that Select Lounge is dead on any given weekend. On one particular night I went to Select Lounge with some friends and the bouncer (woman) was exceptionally rude for no reason. I had flats in my clutch. She told me that I better throw "that shit" away? Excuse me? She insisted I couldn't go inside with them, but she wouldn't give me a reason as to why. She snatched my purse out of my hands, took the flats out and threw them out onto the street. I was shocked and appalled. This type of behavior really occurs? I couldn't understand the logic. I was allowed to go in with pepper spray, but not flats. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. And I can understand from the past this establishment has had violent incidences, but I don't see how flats posed any danger compared to pepper spray. Especially, since they give you plastic cups at the bar. And if she felt like I was hiding something in the sole or something she could have searched them. They roll up and bend in any way. I don't think a razor bends, does it? Anyway, I pray for ignorant people. I don't stoop down to their level. I didn't get "loud" or anything. I let karma work it out for me. On top of that bartenders had no clue what was going on with the open bar promotion. It took them about 10 mins to call someone to ask if there was an open bar or not. Sunday's are my favorite nights. It's a great place to come with a group or mingle with others. The crowd is mixed 20's-30's. The drinks are good but it is ALWAYS a long wait. I normally can't sit down because the DJ's are on point the entire night! This location never disappoints. I've been coming here since they have opened to celebrate birthday's, promotions, achievements, and to unwind after working hard. So I tried Select for the first time this last weekend. I have lived in many big Cities, Dallas, Orlando, etc but moving to Baltimore I have not found a decent club that is upscale and I fit in. This may be it! Very hip, very modern, very nice. From Valet service to bottle service, this club belongs more in Vegas than Baltimore. They have my business and my $ for now. Seems okay to me. Came here for Mayweather "fight night" and enjoyed myself. Cover was $20, which normally would've been too much for my taste, but given the fact that the fight was showing, I didn't mind. Lance Gross hosted the party that I went to, which was very cool, since Select doesn't seem to me to be a place to which celebs would often come. Nice lighting and okay atmosphere as well...and the drinks were very reasonably priced! The crowd is younger(avg age is prob about 26-28)and urban. The music is popular contemporary hip-hop and R&B. If there was one weak point, it would be the DJ and the $20 valet parking. The music had very little variety and I'm sorry, but this is Baltimore, NOT NY, so I am not paying $20 to valet park lol. First time there - seemed decent - live music with a great band. Bar service was okay. And, then there was the parking - which is horrendous. So, I used the valet - BIG MISTAKE. I wasn't aware of the parking situation prior, and was not prepared with my valet key. The Attic made it's open mic début in Baltimore this month at Select Lounge. Yours truly was in the building to kill two birds with one stone by checking out one of Bmore's newest hot spots and see what The Attic was all about. It was evident when I walked through the door why people have been talking about Select. The venue accentuates it's imitate and sexy atmosphere with beautiful hardwood floors, soothing orange lighting, plush leather seats and flat screen TVs. I was pleasantly surprised with my initial impression of Select, that is until I tried to get a drink at the bar. As I took my seat at granite top bar, I perused the drink menu and noticed it only included bottle prices for champagne and liquor but offered wine by the glass or bottle. After being overlooked for roughly ten minutes, I asked the bartender for the cocktail menu and was informed they don't have one. I found it a bit odd for a lounge that doesn't serve food not have a cocktail menu since, in the absence of food, cocktails should be their specialty. Sometimes I think my assumptions will be the death of me. At any rate, I decided to get a glass of Malbec and was told they don't carry it. In my most non-annoyed voice I asked, "Then why is it listed on the drink menu" and pointed it out to the bartender who apparently had no clue what Malbec was or if it was something the lounge normally carries. I settled for a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, much to my disappointment it was severed in a miniature my first wine starter glass. At almost $10 a glass, I expected a full body wine glass. The best thing about the bar for me that night was the discovery of purse hooks. At this point I was just ready for the show to begin. The show started a little late but nothing too CPTish and was hosted by Beny Blaq and Komplex. The duo proved to be extremely entertaining, as did the rest of the DC based talent that graced the mic. DC was definitely in the house to represent and support their own. DJ Lil Mic was also in the building and did his thing as usual. The feature for the evening was Archie The Messenger & Lyrical The Lyricist. You never know if you will be enlightened, amused, or seduced when these two touch the mic but you will always be entertained and walk away with a greater appreciation for spoken word. The venue in combination with the stylish crowd, music and performances gave the event a very welcoming feel and I look forward to the next show. Parking: Street and Valet Price range: $10 and up Biggest Disappointment: Wait at the bar. It literally took 20mins for the gentleman next to me to get served and the place was nowhere near capacity. One of my fave lounges to attend. I typically come for the hump day happy hour because of the "bottle special". $100 for a bottle so I can have a seating area. Hookah is offered and drink specials during this time as well. Get there early so you get a decent table. We usually get stuck at the couch right under the dj booth lol. Three of my friends and I went to the Kiss-N-Grind event and we had a good time. I had no clue what to expect from Select Lounge since I didn't have a chance to read reviews before hand and haven't heard much hype about it. When we go there we showed our ID's and had our purses searched (I'm not use to going into a club and having my clutch/small purse searched which is kinda sketchy, but hey I understand there are some crazy people out there). When we got inside we gave the hostess our names and we got two free drink tickets and we wondered in. At first it was really dark, the lights are very dim and there is a somewhat brightly lit bar on your right, a DJ area to the the left along with nicely decorated couches and tables for bottle service. There were only two bartenders working so it took a little while to get service, but luckily there were girls walking around serving small plates with Chicken or Beef with pasta Alfredo with shrimp and there were also fruit plates with grapes, pineapple, watermelon, honey dew, and cheese cubes. It was nice to have something to snack on while sipping on a caramel appletini, pineapple upside down cake, or apple fluff drink which was on special with Smirnoff's flavored vodka. The food was okay, but I was still full from eating prior to arriving and the fruit plates were nice I liked the assortment of fruits but I couldn't eat the cheese cubes tasted like they had been sitting out too long and were warm.
