We were quickly attended to by a server and placed an order for drinks. My mom got a drink that included something called shrub (never heard of this before), but the server warned us it is a bit vinager-y and different, but that was ok for us. I ordered the Ocha Kudasai and my mom got the Zahara. The Kudasai was like a lychee green tea drink, it was light, slightly sweet, and delicious. The Zahara was different (as promised), but actually delectable. It had a flavor that I had never had in a drink before, but in a pleasant way. If you're an adventurous drinker, definitely try the Zahara! Love the vibes here, I will definitely be back.

Found this place on Yelp. It's inside the Ulysses hotel. It's really posh, and probably great for a date or a girls' night out. We chose to sit at the bar and leave the intimate spaces for people who were in that mood. Bartenders were really friendly and helpful and attentive and knowledgeable. I found out about The Back Yard from locals who lived in Pigtown when I went to Pickett Brewing. I don't live too far from Pigtown but it was nice to see some restaurants popping up near Hollins Market. We met the bartender, Hailey and the owner, Mike. I can see this is a local bar and restaurant since it sounded like everyone knew each other. We seated ourselves and ordered our food.
