Love this lounge! Inside the hotel. Came with my friend on…read morea Thursday right when they opened so it was very empty. She told me they do get crowded on weekend nights. It's dark in there with pinkish mood lighting. We tried the bubblegum spritz and ocha kudasai. The spritz was our ultimate favorite - sweet & refreshing!!! :) Don't sleep on the crab cakes.... So good

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at the hotel cocktail bar…read more My friends and I visited the bar with the understanding that it was busy, and we were more than willing to be patient while the staff caught up with service. However, the bartender, Vicki, refused to accommodate us at all, despite our willingness to wait our turn. Rather than acknowledging us or offering an estimated wait time, we were simply turned away. What made the experience particularly disappointing was not the wait itself, but the lack of professionalism and hospitality. We were treated as though our business was not welcome, which is not the level of customer service I would expect from a hotel of this standard. As paying guests, we expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. If the bar was temporarily unable to serve additional customers, a polite explanation or request to wait would have been completely understandable. Instead, the bartender's, Vicki, refusal to accommodate us left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. While I thoroughly enjoyed my hotel stay, this definitely put an off putting taste in my mouth toward customer service standards. I hope this matter will be reviewed so that future guests receive a more professional and courteous experience. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.

I knew this spot to be mostly Caribbean and Afrikan. It gets crowded after midnight but a comfortable crowded. Drinks weren't to pricey. I drank fruit punch. I wanted to check the place out sober. The bartenders were okay. Not to talkative just made drinks pretty much. I was a bartender so having conversation helps you make tips . I would come again. I mean it's up the road and who wants to always fight for parking downtown. The ox tails were okay. I like the food and atmosphere. I never been inside the smaller bar they have Next door during the week but I know that is the original location. Give it a try. I felt safe and there was no fighting or drama. I seen under 30 men and women and it was fun and not ratchet at all.

Environment was clean, not too crowded and lighting/special effects were perfect. Drinks were good and not overpriced. Cover charge was 5 bucks. I really enjoyed myself and so did my friends. The DJ played a good variety of music. As the night progressed they played more Caribbean and African music. I really enjoyed myself and I would return in the future.

Everything had a black almost gothic interior, with accents of red. Super pretty and dramatic. R&B music was playing to set the mood. Food came out quickly. Staff were very accommodating and attentive. The signature drink Blk Swan was so good. Crab cake didn't blow my mind, but I went for the overall experience. I'd definitely go back.

Our first time was during a slow Tuesday. We got good service because we were basically the only people in the venue. We wrapped up our meal early because a fire alarm went off (because of the hotel next door we were told) and it would not turn off and we couldn't hear each other. The second time we had a reservation. We were seated after waiting a few minutes. We sat for 20 minutes with no water or drinks or even being greeted by any wait staff. We left. The third time was restuarant week. The dirty martini was the worst drink I have had in awhile and it was $20. Service was friendly but took forever. We never got water refills. No fun containers for the adult happy meal + we had to request the advertised included glass of wine. The smash burger was good, my husband's pizza tasted like something out of the frozen case at the grocery store. They were out of both desserts, replacement offered.
