[Update] All resolved! This was escalated to the district manager who was extremely helpful and professional in handling the mistake that Holly made. I was fully entitled to my refund and also received my full refund in store, where I was assisted by the store manager, who was also extremely professional, kind and understanding of my situation. Thank you for making this right, pleasant hill See's team ! ----------------- original review below: This review is for the incredibly rude, passive aggressive, dismissive customer service I received from Holly N at the pleasant hill store right off of monument freeway. My boyfriend and I purchased 7 items from this location on Saturday September 26, 6 of them were gifts for a upcoming family trip and 1 was for ourself. When we got home, we opened the can of Toffee-Ettes we got for ourselves, and found it tasting incredibly stale and even a bit of bitter. We have always loved our sees candies, they have been holiday gifts and family gifts ever since we remember, so we were sure that normal Toffeeettes does not taste like this. We went back to the same store on Sunday, asking for a refund. Because the rests are gifts and there is no way to be sure about the quality of those, we felt uncomfortable giving them as gifts to our family. Holly N was the only sales associate at the store. When we asked her for the refund and explained our reason, she cut me off while I was explaining to say " we don't do refunds". I told her that I read the sees candies "60 day's satisfactory guarantee" on the website and it does say I am able to return them to a store within 60 days of purchase, in which she just replied that they don't do refunds, and if I need to refund I'll have to send an email to corporate and start a whole process. I tried to ask her how long the process will take, which then she sarcastically replied something alone the lines of " well if you read our website then you should know that it's 90 days".... HOW RUDE ! I was only just trying to protect my rights as a customer. At the end, my boyfriend and I just decided to switch out the bad box + the other box of "toffee ettes" we got as gifts, hoping that maybe the quality and we were just unlucky and got a bad batch. But this definitely left such a sour taste in our mouth for getting unexpected - sarcastic and rude service. I went back home and re-read the satisfaction guarantee on the website and was unable to find the 90 day requirement or any email I need to submit a refund request to in order to. The website says " If for any reason you are unsatisfied with a See's product you purchased from us or one of our authorized sellers, we will gladly provide you with a refund or replace the candy free of charge." Holly N, you did not help us with our problem and you absolutely need to work on your customer service skills to not be so sarcastic and fake nice. You can speak in a calm tone but your attitude and how you say things needs work. We will be trying to return our purchase at another store. This is just not ok.

Amazing Chocolate Class & Delicious Treats!…read more I'm rating this based solely on the chocolate class and their chocolates--I haven't visited their pop-up store in Concord, but I had the pleasure of attending their class in Oakland. First off, the chocolate is absolutely delicious! Second, the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. The entire family is so welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to have our class led by the owner himself, Michael Dunn, who made the session both informative and fun. Parking was conveniently located right in front of their Oakland location, and we were fortunate to have a smaller, more intimate class. Everything was well-organized--from the hairnets and aprons to the chocolates and dipping stations. They shared insights into the chocolate-making process, along with a bit of history and its significance, which added a cool educational aspect to the experience. This is such a fun activity, whether you're with family, on a date, or even solo. Honestly, it would also make for a fantastic work team-building event! And the best part? Taste testing! Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. Thank you for an amazing class and incredible chocolates!

I've purchased this apple several times at Rachel Dunn Chocolates, which was a chocolate shop on Detroit Ave. in Concord. The apple is juicy and sweet. The caramel is just the right amount so it's not overly sweet. I ordered one for dessert for Christmas. It's refreshing after a big dinner. The apple is huge, and it easily can serve 8 people with a good size wedge. The literature that comes with the apple says it can serve 8 to 12 people. It's best to take the apple out of the refrigerator 8 hours before serving so that the caramel and chocolate are easily sliced. Once we forgot and then the chocolate was brittle and broke into pieces when we sliced it.Customer service is great. I wasn't able to get through on the phone line to order so I sent an email. This was 4 days before Christmas, and I didn't think anyone would actually get back to me, but someone called! I was able to get my order in and have this for Christmas. It comes in a pretty gift box.

"Coco Swirl" is a nice little frozen yogurt shop in Pleasant Hill…read more It was a warm day, and I had a need for something cold. Using the Yelp app as a search engine, I found Coco Swirl. It has a simple layout, with five fro-yo machines, one size of cup, basic toppings and some tables inside. Price per Ounce: 80 cents They allow sampling. I took a serving of Irish Mint, Chocolate/ Vanilla, and Coconut. Added some Lychee Jelly and some Jelly Balls. It was good, but I miss the tart and fruity flavors like Pineapple, Mango and Passion fruit. Service was prompt and friendly. They also offer teas, milk tea, and Redbull Infusion. I was told that Coco Swirl is an independent store, and isn't part of a chain. I would definitely return if I'm in the area.

Turns out the store is closed at 8:38pm when google and iPhone gps says they close at 9pm. The girl who came to the door after she saw us outside said they were closed and that she didn't know why it said online that they close at 9pm that probably those were summer hours. If those are simmer hours hours must be updated immediately since there's people like us that drive a long way to get here to enjoy a yogurt on a night off and getting there and the place off is a disappointment and inconvenient since we came from a long distance.

This was our first time at a Paris Baguette, and given that it's a 40-minute drive from home, this…read morewas a well-planned and anticipated visit. The location is easy to get to, with lots of parking behind in a lot, and it's very clean, with lots of chairs and tables; yet all were filled this Saturday evening, which is a good sign. There are too many pastries, treats, and drinks to even cover, and we spent a few minutes trying to find our choices, which you mainly pick from cabinets using a self-serve tray and tongs. For drinks and cake (whole or sliced), you order those at the counter. We decided on some pastries, some cake slices, and a drink. And S'mores was the predominant theme today. We ordered a raspberry fruit bite, 2 chocolate supreme croissants, 2 S'mores Belgian waffles, a sugar mochi donut, a coffee donut croissant, 2 slices of S'mores chocolate marshmallow cake, and a slice of rainbow cake. We also got the cream cheese puff and the crème brûlée bombolone ... quite the name! And, of course, a S'mores frappe! The server helping us at the register was polite and efficient, but there was only one register open and a long line. As such, other folks were helping gather the goodies from the cake case, and as we were taking these to go, we did not realize until we were home that the rainbow cake was not a rainbow cake, but a THIRD slice of S'mores cake. Ugh. That one was chosen by the 8-year-old, who was understandably not happy, and the additional insult of paying extra (above the cost of the S'mores) for a cake we didn't get made ME unhappy too! Paid $8.29, got a $6.99 cake slice. The pastries are generally good, with some very good and some more of a "meh." Among the best were the raspberry fruit bite and the coffee donut croissant. That coffee one was a surprise, as it had a soft liquid filling we didn't realize when buying, and the taste was very coffee, which I loved. Will get that again for sure. The S'mores chocolate supreme croissant was also popular. The crème brûlée bombolone was different, with a light pastry and a filling different from what I usually find in crème puffs, and it was tasty. The waffles were not a light and airy as we would have liked, but the flavor was good. The mochi donut was a bit dry as well, not up to true Japanese bakery standards, and the cream cheese puff was all puff and short on the cream cheese (see photos). And the S'more cake was good for flavor, very rich and S'morey, but the presentation really is lacking. Not that I normally compare one chain to another, but for example, when we get Crumbl, the product is very close to the advertising. Not so with the S'more cake, and I am not even sure all the layers were there and in the proper order or proportion; check out the photos and see what I mean. However, the flavor was spot on, and that is the ultimate goal, although the "eyes eat first," as we Yelpers know! And the highlight was not a pastry or cake, but the S'more frappe. It was layered beautifully, fresh-tasting, and very S'morey (yes, a new word I now love!). We even got a second, as we had to eat this there so it could be shared by the group, and it was calling us! Definitely hope it is available next visit, and Starbucks could take a lesson in quality versus price point. Some of the pastries here are really not worth the cost for the product (would skip the cream cheese puff, for example, and the mochi donut), but everything else was very good. Other than an error in fulfilling the order correctly and a couple a poor pastries (quality), it was a good first visit, and we all would come back when near a location.

I needed my coffee fix and some breakfast, found this location along the way to my Destination…read more Even for early morning, they had a good selection of pastries out to choose from. Grabbed a few pastries-- all were flaky and delicious. Probably even better if it were warm. I was in a time crunch so didn't ask for it.
