    Doggy toy
    Tara L.

Walked in on what started as a terrible Monday (looking for a sweet reward after dealing with the public) and ended as an AMAZING one once I left, all thanks to Bernadette! I perused the shelves for a minute (noticing a doggy toy for $6 with a 1lb or more purchase!) while We talked about life & people, and how happy chocolate made us (especially when people aren't being sweet) it was a total vibe. I picked out my favs, along with a few recommendations from Bernadette & got my puppy his "Doggie-ettes" toy. I would say I'd return but B & I agreed that I was never here....

I've been going to See's Candies for years! I love the varieties of chocolates (Most of them), especially the peanut butter ones and chocolate peanut clusters! I bought a assortment box for my wife on her birthday and she enjoyed it!

My brother and I were there yesterday on Friday around noon and the girl behind the counter at the shop who helped us was so wonderful and friendly. We got the one-pound box and we were a little indecisive with what we wanted, but she was really patient with us. She really accommodated us by letting us take our time making decisions on which chocolate candies that we wanted. And there was so much to choose from. I loved the variety that they offered. And, at the end, she gave us complementary chocolate candy each, and I opted for the Bordeaux which was absolutely delicious. The price for the one-pound box was $32 as of June of 2024. While it might be a little pricey for me, the chocolate candies were just delectable. I especially enjoyed one of their new additions: the birthday cake chocolate, which tasted just like a delicious birthday cake pop. The chocolate shop itself was very clean, neat, and organized. The shop was fully air-conditioned against the hot summer outside, so it felt really nice to be inside. It was a nice shopping experience through and through. Parking was extremely easy as well. On a Friday at noon, we were probably the only car at the parking lot.

CHOCOLATE! Who doesn't love some good ol See's candy This location has an older looking exterior and it makes it feel super cool like walking into some throwback nostalgia shop. The employees were very nice! Offered us free samples immediately and were very patient as we examined our choices. We ended up purchasing a half pound of that yum yum. The worker who rung us up threw in a coupon for our next our purchase. That's how they're gunna keep us coming back lol. Cause we definitely will!

The service at this See's candy store is impeccable. Bernadette remembered my husband from the last time he came in and just greeted him like he was an old friend. Janus also welcomed us with a warm hello. They asked us which sample we would like instead of just giving us some random ones we wouldn't like. We always like creating our own box and Bernadette was so patient with us as we made our selections. She even encouraged us to try some different ones we would like based off our preferences and they were perfect! Bernadette and Janus are just the nicest ladies who remind me of those sweet grandmas with that warm and loving hospitality. Rae is pretty cool too!

Normally I go to the location on Monument because this location is always busy! Well, that was certainly the case 5 days before Christmas but it was on my way, it was my grandmas Christmas present and I can wait if needed. There were 2 long lines because only 2 people were working. I felt so bad for them! They needed more help and it didn't hep when a grumpy old man complained about them and the line. All this aside the employees were amazing! I would have been so frantic but the customer service didn't waiver!

Me and my wife went and our first impression was "wow"! It's very hard to see good chocolate stores in US. Reminds me of cafes in France! Anyway, the woman there is very nice and polite. She answered millions of questions that we had. She even gave us three free candies, we bought only $8 worth of stuff! So she definitely knows how to keep customer coming back! I like when small gestures like that happens, it's not very common this days! People don't just give free stuff! Anyway, the chocolates are amazing, dark chocolates are very good. The lady mentioned when I said "this place reminds me of sea's", that's it's better than sea's. She is right! I am a critic of any food (mostly chocolates). So trust me when I say this place knows what they are doing, chocolate wise. Give them a visit, you will taste great chocolate and feel "love"!

I've purchased this apple several times at Rachel Dunn Chocolates, which was a chocolate shop on Detroit Ave. in Concord. The apple is juicy and sweet. It's refreshing after a big dinner. The apple is huge, and it easily can serve 8 people with a good size wedge. The literature that comes with the apple says it can serve 8 to 12 people. It's best to take the apple out of the refrigerator 8 hours before serving so that the caramel and chocolate are easily sliced. Amazing Chocolate Class & Delicious Treats!…read more I'm rating this based solely on the chocolate class and their chocolates--I haven't visited their pop-up store in Concord, but I had the pleasure of attending their class in Oakland. First off, the chocolate is absolutely delicious! Second, the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. The entire family is so welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to have our class led by the owner himself, Michael Dunn, who made the session both informative and fun. Parking was conveniently located right in front of their Oakland location, and we were fortunate to have a smaller, more intimate class. Everything was well-organized--from the hairnets and aprons to the chocolates and dipping stations. They shared insights into the chocolate-making process, along with a bit of history and its significance, which added a cool educational aspect to the experience. This is such a fun activity, whether you're with family, on a date, or even solo. Honestly, it would also make for a fantastic work team-building event! And the best part? Taste testing! Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. Thank you for an amazing class and incredible chocolates!

First off, don't let the name fool you because despite its name it's actually a Korean bakery, not a French bakery. They do have a lot of French inspired pastries though, like croissants. I keep seeing people on TikTok eating those cylinder shaped Croissants filled with creamy custard or chocolate cream, so naturally I had to try one when I saw them at the store. I also knew I had to try the Salted Bread since Japanese style salted bread has been super viral all over Asia lately. We ended up getting both, and honestly they were pretty good. Let me start with the Salted Bread, the inside had that signature hollow interior with a slightly crusty exterior, so it felt pretty legit. The salty crust paired really nicely with the buttery flavor of the bread. It was good, but I don't get the hype around it. I know some people are completely obsessed with salted bread, but to me it's basically just really good bread tasting like salted butter. I like it, but it's just not enough to make me obsessed with it. Then we tried the cylinder shaped croissant that was half dipped in chocolate, and that was pretty good too. Obviously room temperature croissants just don't hit the same as warm freshly baked ones, but for room temperature ones, these were pretty solid. I also really liked the interior of the shop. Everything looked super clean, modern, and chic. All the baked goods were displayed really beautifully too. I'd definitely come back again the next time I'm in the vicinity, and next time I'll try some of their other stuff too.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.
