I've purchased this apple several times at Rachel Dunn Chocolates, which was a chocolate shop on Detroit Ave. in Concord. The apple is juicy and sweet. The caramel is just the right amount so it's not overly sweet. I ordered one for dessert for Christmas. It's refreshing after a big dinner. The apple is huge, and it easily can serve 8 people with a good size wedge. The literature that comes with the apple says it can serve 8 to 12 people. It's best to take the apple out of the refrigerator 8 hours before serving so that the caramel and chocolate are easily sliced. Once we forgot and then the chocolate was brittle and broke into pieces when we sliced it.Customer service is great. I wasn't able to get through on the phone line to order so I sent an email. This was 4 days before Christmas, and I didn't think anyone would actually get back to me, but someone called! I was able to get my order in and have this for Christmas. It comes in a pretty gift box.

Amazing Chocolate Class & Delicious Treats!…read more I'm rating this based solely on the chocolate class and their chocolates--I haven't visited their pop-up store in Concord, but I had the pleasure of attending their class in Oakland. First off, the chocolate is absolutely delicious! Second, the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. The entire family is so welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to have our class led by the owner himself, Michael Dunn, who made the session both informative and fun. Parking was conveniently located right in front of their Oakland location, and we were fortunate to have a smaller, more intimate class. Everything was well-organized--from the hairnets and aprons to the chocolates and dipping stations. They shared insights into the chocolate-making process, along with a bit of history and its significance, which added a cool educational aspect to the experience. This is such a fun activity, whether you're with family, on a date, or even solo. Honestly, it would also make for a fantastic work team-building event! And the best part? Taste testing! Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. Thank you for an amazing class and incredible chocolates!

From spicy, hot, and sweet Sriracha sauce to green foaming sugary candy that looks like it's packed into an aerosol can. (Is it really?) I bought some Turkish Delight here for around $10 and it came with 20 pieces which I thought was a good deal, and I bought a gummy pizza which was around $20 which was actually the size of a small 10 inch pizza and had gummy meat looking pieces. The Turkish Delight had a price sign, the gummy pizza didn't. My daughter also bought some odds and ends and I quickly spent $50. The cashier was neutral. It was late in the evening and I think we may have been their last customers before they closed. Since it's literally decked to the halls, and jam packed with candy you get a feeling like you have to buy EVERYTHING. Prices seem to be on some items and not on others which I didn't favor. If I would have known how much the gummy pizza was I wouldn't have bought it. Also, with all the candy in close proximity to each other the colors inside the stosorta run together. If you're looking to make a lot of candy choices in your life this is a good place, yet you might get overwhelmed and spend a lot too!

Beautiful chocolates [Walnut Creek CA]…read more Passed by this chocolatier shop in Downtown Walnut Creek and made a mental note to make sure we stopped by after our dinner. This is a family-owned chocolate shop that specialized in Leonidas Belgian chocolates and other European treats. I was looking for chocolate peanut clusters LoL! but this shop is too fancy and only offered high quality Belgian brand chocolates. I bought 5 pieces of the Marron Café which was praliné with coffee flavor. Delicious melt in your mouth pralines which, unfortunately, did not make it back to our car. Not to mention, coffee beverages and hot chocolate on the menu. I ordered a variety of chocolates. They charge by weight, but I prefer customizing to my desired selections rather than getting a mystery box. I got a handful of chocolate almonds (covered in dark, milk, and blonde chocolate), noir de noir (dark chocolate ganache), wild animal chocolates (I wanted the koala with chocolate mousse, but they were out so I settled for the monkey and unicorn instead), leonidas milk chocolate bark made with salted almonds, hazelnuts, and pecans (sweeter than expected), marron noisette (dark chocolate filled with coffee flavored praline), and the staff, possibly the shop owner, threw in a pumpkin bon bon (made with pumpkin spice) for free. As a chocolate lover, belgian chocolates aren't exactly my fave. However Leonidas Love & Chocolate Shop offers a nice assortment of chocolatey confections and adorable creations like animal-shaped goodies, which is great for gift giving or just to treat yourself.

Let me tell you, I'm so glad I popped in and gathered my favorite chocolates because I got to meet the sweetest employee there. Her name was Maggie and she was so friendly and warm and truly seemed to care about me! Nowadays it seems there's less and less personal attention and genuine willingness to make a customer happy. Maggie made me so happy. She literally made my day!! When you stop in (cuz I totally recommend you go to THIS store!) Tell Maggie she made a yelpers day!!

I called the store and spoke with Lorelei about what happened. She didn't offer to mail me a card. Instead she said I had to come back to the store and get one. That was her only solution. I have to waste my time and gas because of her mistake? I called back and asked to speak to a manager and the gal that answered the phone handed me off to Lorelei! Lorelei didn't identify herself by name or title and simply said "hello?" I didn't bother going further with this ridiculousness. Lastly, I wasn't offered a sample piece of candy. I had to ask for one as Lorelei was trying to leave the register after the transaction.
