We got the biscoff bingsu with Oreo ice cream substitute and it was sooooo good. Light, refreshing, sweet, and easily shared between two people. Beautifully presented, and utensils were available near pick up. We ordered from the kiosk and it showed plenty of pictures. Do be careful, it can melt quick!

The first couple bites were good but the more I ate the more I didn't like it and thought it was okay. The strawberry wasn't sweet but was sour. I was having a weird grainy textured like paste in my mouth with every bite. Ice cream is okay. I didn't finish the bingsu and ate only about 15-20% Hibiscus Strawberry Tea 3/5 I didn't really taste the strawberry and thought it was mostly watered down. Ambience 3/5 Plenty of parking outside. Tables are a little dirty that I wiped it down. The cashier area was pretty dusty when ordering and grabbing utensils. Service 4/5 Staff seem to be friendly. It's very minimal since it's ordering then self serving. The order did take pretty long considering there was only a couple other folks inside. I would suggest be very careful when picking up your tray with bingsu because it tends to slide around the tray very easily. I almost dropped mine but luckily didn't. Maybe I'll come back to try the mango next time since it's a popular order.

My son and his girlfriend had the Vietnamese coffee as well. We all ended up throwing the ice cream away. The server was very nice and doing the best she could do given a crowded Sunday. I think they have other locations, but I will avoid them as well. Worst ice cream we've ever had, sticking with Loard's ice cream from now on.

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.

Mary made a white almond Joy cake for my mom's 95th birthday party and OMG!! She outdid any bakery I've ever purchased from or had catered desserts! We also had her carrot cake with a twist. Absolutely a hit! Delicately sweet. She thoughtfully included some magically caramelized pineapple on the side that transformed each bite into a tropical delight. My diabetic boyfriend was in heaven, this is now my favorite carrot cake ever. The individual cup desserts got gobbled up! The brownie bites were so moist they melted in your mouth! Mary provided a delicious gluten-free cake for our wedding. We visited her for a cake tasting where she provided us with three different options, and we discussed the cake ingredients that she uses. Amore Alternative does not use gluten or refined sugar in their cakes. We were a bit concerned about the lack of refined sugar, because powdered sugar is typically used in wedding cakes to give that bright white color. However, we discussed with Mary and found a great solution: She covered the cake in coconut flakes, giving the cake an attractive and festive look.
