The sugar-free option were just what I needed. It was busy but the staff took time with each customer to provide great service. Be patient, it's worth it. Tripp wrapped the packages for birthday presents and checked me out. This was outstanding, awesome, and special. The wrapped candy was done with care and love. They didn't want to see the bug pics and the person in store refused to replace the box after I was told over the phone to come in and get a replacement box. Oh wow it was busy on the day before Mother's Day but the staff were quick and super attentive! We love that they offered samples with every purchase. See's Candy in Corte Madera is remodeling. BUT, in the meantime their San Rafael Store is still open, and Novato, too. I love the hometown feel of every See's Candy Store, and the consistency of their stores, products and service. I'll be very curious to see what their remodel brings! See's Candy is, by-far, my very favorite candy. Sometimes I stop in for a treat. I feel like a kid in a .... well, you get the idea. My eyes get wide, my chocolate receptors salivate, and my insulin levels ramp up in anticipation. I particularly love their Rum Nougat. Try it! It's amazing. And their Nuts, and Chews.... well, that's health food.... mental health, at least! Here's my See's Candy Tip: When you put See's Candy out for a party...cut each piece in half so people can see what they're choosing. That way they'll get what they like, and like what they get. Couldn't help myself, saw See's on the way to another errand and got the best service ever from a See's Candies location. Austin was amazing...he was customer-centric, knowledgable and kind. He noticed I was sharing with a boy in front of me selecting Bordeaux chocolates that I did not like them and I wished I could have shared my boxes of "uneaten" chocolates with him so they do not go to waste. See's Candy is fantastic and delicious. But I went to the Corte Madera store to buy a pound of dark chocolate for my husband for Valentines day. The red heart boxes that the candy comes in for valentines day are unmarked on the outside, so you have to just go by the display to make your selection - find the display of what you want (pound of dark chocolate) and select one of the boxes below the display. That's what I did but when my husband opened it, it was full of milk chocolate and white chocolate (yuck!). Some lazy buttbrain put the wrong items in the wrong display. I was thoroughly disappointed. I won't be going back to the Corte Madera store ever!! read more

Yum. If only they had all the candy the used to and stopped this new seasonal nonsense (seriously is there really a season for dark chocolate mint truffles v. milk chocolate milk truffles?). You still get a free sample when you go in (I wonder how much longer this will last as I've seen numerous people abusing the policy) and the stores are still uber-neat and have that quaint black and white color scheme. They're my go to candy store. There are so many varities its hard to pick a favorite. My only gripe is the boxes I buy seem to have holes in them as the candy disappears from them far too quickly. read more

You get the signature free sample and the lines are usually not bad, unless it's right before Easter or Valentine's day. I came for the free samples......I left with a box of dark delights for my girl... So I will admit it; I stop in See's all the time just to grab a sample without any intention of buying something. I love Sees Candy. I an even be patient for long lines. However, it really bugs me when there is not a long line and people are standing in line and the counter people are staring off in the distance while fiddling with the candy. Can they say "someone will be with you in a moment" or both of us are busy but will be with you soon"? Something, anything besides ignoring the customers waiting in line not knowing what the holdup is? I was in line waiting while one guy was helping a customer and the other looked liked she was moving candy around. If she was helping someone, I couldn't see it. I asked a question and got my head bit off. Three people in line and none of us knew why we had to stand there being ignored. Customer service. Say something. You can never say "we will be right there" enough times in a busy store. read more

After giving the girls behind the counter my list of 8 selected chocolates to make a custom blend and waiting nearly 45 minutes for them to fill the order, my children opened their boxes this Christmas morning to find that the counter people simply picked the first 3-4 chocolates off my list and completely filled the boxes with those. This is a busy See's. Whole families come in here and bring their kids for samples then take F O R E V E R to choose each single piece of candy. So if you are ever in the area and you see that it is empty then go in FAST!! I have been here a couple of times and each time it gets busy. The people at the counter get overwhelmed very quickly, do not know how to keep track of who is in line and are afraid to delegate They should have a little red number machine so people can take a number. Candies are well you know they are See's and every once in awhile you get that craving.I come in here like once a year since prefer Maison Du Chocolate but they do not have any stores here on S.F. Just like most people from San Francisco I've been enjoying See's Candies since childhood. I recently moved to Sausalito and am now shopping at the Corte Madera location. The candy is just as delicious but what sets this store apart are the employees. The store manager Hanan is always warm and cheerful and keeps the line moving efficiently.
