This store is not quite comparable to that, but it is a candy store and with some imagination one can transport themselves into a fun childhood fantasy. I've certainly been in much larger and elaborate candy stores, but this small shop gives all it can in the downtown San Anselmo shopping area. Yes they were delicious, but all the prices were blacked out on the bottom and after being run up the register suggested I leave an extremely high tip. I personally don't think telling customers they have one minute to buy something then telling other customers they can't come in because you're closed really warrants a 20%+ tip. The shop door could have simply been closed and the sign turned to let everyone finish browsing and let potential customers outside know you are closed in a polite and professional way, so this was our first and absolutely final visit to this location of Miette as we will not be coming back.

She invited us to her home for a tasting to make sure the chocolates were to our satisfaction (they were, of course). She also allowed us to try some new flavors she was working on, paired with some wine. It was so much fun and so delicious. We served the chocolates during our cocktail hour and they were a huge hit! There were none left over after the wedding. Eva also gave us an extra little box with assorted chocolates to eat on our honeymoon in Hawaii (which we did). Eva is seriously the best. My only advice: Don't chew the chocolates! Eva will literally yell at you because you're supposed to let them melt in your mouth. Haha! I recommend Eva's Delights to provide chocolates to anyone planning an event. I mean, who doesn't love chocolate?

It was busy but the line moved well, and it was not crowded, although it is a smaller layout floorplan wise. The staff were exceedingly friendly and cheerful, both times helping people quickly and efficiently and still managing to offer a "sample"! I miss the Northgate location, and parking here can be a challenge at times, but the See's experience is a good as ever! Still my favorite go-to for special occasions or just a little self-care.

The sugar-free option were just what I needed. It was busy but the staff took time with each customer to provide great service. Be patient, it's worth it. Tripp wrapped the packages for birthday presents and checked me out. This was outstanding, awesome, and special. The wrapped candy was done with care and love. Kept trying to push us towards a "fun tasting menu" which I believe was their way of trying to get old food out of their kitchen. Food quality was not good. Not fresh, steak looked like they pieces together scraps from a few different cuts. Frites tasted re-heated. Ambiance -- there were piles of boxes in the corner, place seemed dusty. We also brought a friend in for a birthday and we were one of two parties dining on a Saturday night. Felt very unspecial, we mentioned her birthday a couple of times and they didn't even bring a chocolate or anything. Mainly bothered by the predatory pricing. Haven't experienced this elsewhere. Not sure how this restaurant has managed to stay open, used to be a nice place many years ago.
