I love getting these, they remind me of my childhood family reunions, and these are so delicious with rice and beans.

You can even take it to the old back patio up the street and down the alley where they have seating and some basic facilitation like trash and sometimes water. There are menus up front in a basket right by the doors if you don't know what you want. Specials are posted up on cars in several areas. I really appreciate the speed they get well cooked food out once you place an order (remember that other people have placed orders over the phone and may seem like they are getting food faster than you). I get chicken in about 10 minutes since they have a lot of people on hand to handle each step of the process of cooking and boxing the meal. The staff up front have always been friendly (or not there long). Sodas and other drinks available cold, along with t-shirts, magnets, drums and a ton of other cool stuff on the racks to the side and everywhere else. Check out my Sol Food review for what the food is like (exact same as the restaurant). Head over to La Bodega if you don't want to wait for that delicious Puerto Rican fare, and donate to recovery efforts while you are at it.

Sweet, casual, cute Italian restaurant downtown Larkspur! So…read moreglad we decided to eat here. Service was amazing! Their wine by the glass, delicious! Food was very good! Their purple cabbage slaw & focaccia were the best to me, and the wine of course! We had: focaccia, branzino, calamari, cappuccino, ravioli, smoked trout, sausage pizza, fried chicken & coconut sorbet! Whew, yep only 3 of us! I will be back for the staff; ambiance, focaccia, glass of red & the purple cabbage slaw

My husband and I decided to give this spot a try after getting many rave reviews not only on yelp but on Eater SF (or maybe it was SFGate?). Anyway, we arrived around an hour before close, most places in this area close at 9pm btw. We were greeted by the host who walked in from near the kitchen area. We decided to sit outdoors since the weather was pleasant. We found a table for two near the projector showing a muted black and white film on the brick wall. The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The complimentary focaccia really pushed us over the edge. I would definitely come back to try their pizzas!

Don't understand since they have been there for years and seem to have many of the standard items regularly. Kept trying to push us towards a "fun tasting menu" which I believe was their way of trying to get old food out of their kitchen. Food quality was not good. Not fresh, steak looked like they pieces together scraps from a few different cuts. Frites tasted re-heated. Ambiance -- there were piles of boxes in the corner, place seemed dusty. We also brought a friend in for a birthday and we were one of two parties dining on a Saturday night. Felt very unspecial, we mentioned her birthday a couple of times and they didn't even bring a chocolate or anything. Mainly bothered by the predatory pricing. Haven't experienced this elsewhere. Not sure how this restaurant has managed to stay open, used to be a nice place many years ago.
