Right when I came in I just knew it was good and I got to ordering Parking is pretty open and convenient so it was easy to walk right over. I ordered on the kiosk which makes it easier and gives me more time to look at items. I kept it simple and got a strawberry lemonade which was very good and also in cute packaging. The interior of this place felt like I was in Dubai or something because of the gold and how fancy this place looks lol overall I love it and the music playing.

I don't say that lightly. I'll start with Arabic light roast coffee that was a golden color and infused with cardamom. It was exactly what I was looking for that day. It tasted great, and it gave me to pick me up. I needed for the rest of the afternoon. I have never seen coffee that color. It was delightful. As for the fatayer, it is basically the Yemeni version of an empanada. I am very much a savory breakfast person, so this was a special treat. The spices were amazing, and it was cooked to perfection. This is one of the items you can see in the display case that they warm up for you on the spot. There were also many desserts and other food options. I should also note that I ordered on a large tablet display, which included several different drink, and food options. Honestly, the menu was a little bit overwhelming given the number of choices, but it also makes me think that there is so much more that I need to try next time. I needed to get some work done, so I sa myself down on the very comfortable couch, which conveniently contained a Wi-Fi password stuck to the edge of the adjacent table. It was very chill, and if I didn't have an appointment to get you I certainly could've stayed there all day. I am excited to try some other things on the menu and continue to support this local business.

This one was once quite decent, even…read moreif the proprietor gave off serious French mafia vibes, which he seemingly to mistook for boyish charm. And those were the good days! Sadly, the pandemic seems to have pushed this place over the edge. In the beginning they were packaging food to go and doing their best. More recently, they seemed to have lost their will to go on yet keep going anyway. In pandemic times the back corner of the restaurant had become a dead, catch all space for empty boxes and random restaurant detritus. Five years later in 2025, that back corner vibe seems to have infected the entire restaurant. The reception kiosk is sparse and uninviting, as is the bar with its shelves of dusty Chimay glasses. Tonight, in spite of the seemingly low vibes, we decided to try it again, truly hoping they had pulled it together. The proprietor is now behind the line cooking, instead of intimidating customers with his Marseille "charm." Unfortunately hasn't helped matters. We had a green salad, a tomato salad, salmon with ratatouille, and pork loin with braised red cabbage. The salad and cabbage were over peppered and under salted. The salmon was gray and fishy tasting and the pork was overcooked, gray, dry, and rubbery. Our service was oddly tentative and unsure, which had the effect of dragging our unremarkable dinner out long past our tolerance limit. At the end of the meal we were asked how things were, to which I replied calmly and honestly. Nothing was removed or discounted from our bill. And so I guess that's that. They seem content with where they've landed and I'll be content to never return. All restaurants do die. This one has done so in some sort of excruciatingly slow and insidious way, a car crash on slow motion, likely a reflection of whomever is at the helm, a testament to human struggle, trauma, and dysfunction... a true "kitchen confidential."

This spot popped up pretty high, and funnily enough, my boyfriend--who doesn't live locally--had actually heard of it from a previous visit, so we decided to go for it. Right off the bat: huge win on logistics. There's a nearby parking garage with ample space, and parking is free on Sundays and holidays, which already put us in a good mood. The place was packed when we went (Sunday), but in the best way. It's honestly adorable--there's a small playground, multiple seating areas, and everything feels very thoughtfully put together. I don't usually gush over ambiance, but the furniture, layout, and overall warmth of the space really stood out. Cozy without being cramped, lively without being chaotic. There were three people working, one of them quite young, and while we didn't order food, I did get a matcha--and wow. It took a while to come out, but when I saw how they were preparing it, it all made sense. Unlike most high-volume spots that rush matcha, they actually take their time with the full process. The result? Easily top 10 matchas I've ever had. Fresh, clean, energizing in a way that felt genuinely good for my body--not jittery, just right. They do have pastries and a couple of food options, though the savory options didn't really tempt me personally. That said, I'd 100% come back just for the drinks and the space alone. There's just enough white noise to sit and work comfortably, and the ambiance makes you want to stay awhile. This is officially going into my coffee + work rotation.
