I took the kids out to the farmer's market yesterday (Tuesday) with the intention of visiting the San Rafael market, only to realize it's actually open on Thursdays! Luckily, we decided to check out the Hamilton Farmer's Market in Novato instead, and I'm so glad we did because we stumbled upon Cocoa Regina and her incredible chocolate!
Rosie specializes in dark chocolate, and we were delighted to sample different varieties. Even though they're dark chocolates, they were surprisingly smooth and not bitter at all! The kids opted for the 56% dark milk chocolate made with NorCal A2/A2 milk , while I couldn't resist picking up the 70% Ucayali River dark chocolate bar. Rosie described it as fruity and floral, and I was curious to see if I could taste those notes. To my delight, I absolutely could! It was such a unique flavor experience. What really impressed me was that she uses milk from Peru--how cool is that?
Regina made us feel so special while enjoying our chocolate bars. We left with big smiles and full hearts!
We will definitely be returning for more of her delicious creations. If you're at Hamilton Farmer's Market, make sure to stop by Cocoa Regina--you won't regret it! read more
