"Ready Made" in the Cooler/freezer sauces, Pasta and cheeses! Um okay- I didn't know this level of dinner was available here. I only got a box of dried pasta in the cutest ruffles to try. Some Christmas presents and a unique bottle of Vinegar. The vibe is chill and kinda busy if the guy dropping off fresh product is there. But overall warm and welcoming. Definitely will go back to get sauce etc. they even carry the BEST Bellwether Farms Ricotta! So much good stuff and had no idea there was this whole sauce pasta cheeses additions available. I literal thought this was just dried pasta with Mill Valley name on it. I will have to return try the sauces! Definitely check them out for something different for dinner and you are low on time!

We don't live near the store, so I placed an online order as well as an order over the phone. One of my favorite discoveries has been their pasta e fagioli! Shoutout to the lovely Angela, who was as sweet as could be to talk to, helped me track down some hard to find items over the phone that had been marked online as "sold out," and who went above and beyond to help correct a mistake that was made on my order. It was the absolute BEST customer service I have received in yearsss and I SO appreciated you. A wonderful company with a great story, products to keep coming back for, and staff that's one in a million.

Their purple cabbage slaw & focaccia were the best to me, and the wine of course! We had: focaccia, branzino, calamari, cappuccino, ravioli, smoked trout, sausage pizza, fried chicken & coconut sorbet! Whew, yep only 3 of us! My husband and I decided to give this spot a try after getting many rave reviews not only on yelp but on Eater SF (or maybe it was SFGate?). Anyway, we arrived around an hour before close, most places in this area close at 9pm btw. We were greeted by the host who walked in from near the kitchen area. We decided to sit outdoors since the weather was pleasant. We found a table for two near the projector showing a muted black and white film on the brick wall. The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The complimentary focaccia really pushed us over the edge. I would definitely come back to try their pizzas!

It has an interesting entrance layout where you have to walk all the way past the bar just to get to the host podium to check in. Once we were seated, we had a great server who was incredibly patient while we decided on our meals. They easily accommodated adjustments to my wife's order when she asked to swap out a creamy sauce for a marinara. We started with the arugula salad, which was delicious and loaded with roasted beets, gorgonzola, glazed walnuts, and a sharp balsamic vinaigrette. For our mains, we went with the Capellini del Diavolo and the Fettuccine Viareggio. Both dishes were absolutely amazing and hit the spot. The restaurant filled up incredibly fast for a Thursday night. If you are catching a show nearby, I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Unfortunately when I was seated, I saw that the menu in person had higher prices than the online menu, and an additional 4% surcharge that was not mentioned at all. I'm never happy to see unexpected price increases and charges. I'm also seeing reviews from several months ago complaining about the same thing and the owner aggressively defends this practice. Clearly this isn't just a case of forgetting to update the online menu. It's a bait and switch tactic.

Our server, Heather, was absolutely amazing. She gave us her recommendations and was very kind throughout our time there. I have an allergy and she checked with the chef to ensure what we wanted to order did not have the allergen. The food was delicious, I wish we had one in South bay. They have their own house-made chili oil which was really good, just a bit too spicy for my tastes (as someone who doesn't eat too spicy things), but my boyfriend enjoyed it. We ordered the Stella Pinsa (Mozzarella, crescenza cheese, prosciutto parma, and seasonal mushrooms), Ghiretti Panino (Prosciutto Parma, Fiordi latte mozzarella, fresh tomato ,arugula, evo), and Stracciatella Gilato. The stella pinsa was my favorite, the panini was equally as good and the tomato and arugula added freshness. Heather informed us the pinsa is their dough that is proofed for 48(?) hours, so it tastes a bit like sourdough. We were also told that their gelato flavors rotate and they make it in house too! If i'm ever in San Rafael again, i'm definitely coming back!

Santos, our server, was wonderfully attentive, gave us just the right amount of time to decide but not too much. The kids absolutely loved him, he made us feel like we were at his house for dinner without over asserting himself as I have experienced a lot of servers do when trying (or trying to hard) to make you feel at home. The food came out promptly and extremely fresh. We had the Calzone Bartolmi, Spaghetti and Lasagna Pesto. All were amazing from texture to flavor. We were there about 5:30 so they had the back and front doors open and it was beyond pleasant with the breeze and soft light coming in the restaurant. We don't come to the city very often, but we will definitely make a point to stop or at the very least order pizza on the way through when we do come this way. Sorry no food pics cuz we ate it too fast put I'll post a pic of the tables

Juan S. was our server for the night. Very knowable about the menu and the dishes. We started with a classic Caesar salad that we shared. It was plenty enough for us. I ordered the Petrale Sole special and my husband had the Pollo Pomodoro with vodka tomato sauce. Both were excellent choices. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, as were the mixed veggies. My husband loved the pasta as well. For 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine, 1 Caesar salad, 1 bruschetta and a cannoli for later, our bill was $152, before tip. Well worth it.

After we were finally seated and put in our order for drinks, appetizers and main dishes, we waited quite a long time to get our food served. Quality-- not sure if we ordered the wrong things or went in on an off night, but for some reason everything we ordered was underwhelming and lackluster, from the: -drinks (cucumber mojito and strawberry balsamic mocktails) -bruschetta was average -meatballs were sort of flavorless -spinach ravioli with pesto was bland -parpadelle was also bland and portion was oddly small Overall, the food and service was unsatisfactory for the price we paid for the bill. We were excited to come here to celebrate our anniversary and left the restaurant feeling super unfulfilled with our meals. Safe to say we won't be coming back to this establishment, nor will we be suggesting this restaurant to friends and family.
